Campus Life

There were lots of robotics competition and debate. You can catch these events every quarter.Labs were pretty good and big and equipped.Sports were pretty limited to volleyball, basketball and judo. No space available for football and cricket.Gender ratio has always been the strong point. Hostel were quite strict on alcohol stuff, so no big parties.Seniors were very polite and we followed and passed the same.

Remarks

It has been my most memorable days unarguably.today i am what i am because of this college. My strength, knowledge all came from this college. Would love to go back and see those things again and again. 10/10 for me, for other lets say 8.

Campus Life

Cmpus life was cool. There was hardly any ragging or bossisim. Everyone use to play together and help one another in need. Labs have adequate and functional instruments and accessories. Lab technicians were helpful to guide. Cricket and basketball events were organised and even girls had a team of their own.Robotic war, inter national science projects competions were organized every year. Both genders use to participate in all events with great enthusiasm. There were organizations on blood donation and plant awareness in which both genders specially females were active participants. There was no racial discrimnation on basis of religions or economic status. Everyone used to share knowledge and their creativity with each other.

Internships Opportunities

I had done internship organised by college in the campus itself with siemens for giving 1 month training in PLC, SCADA. It turns ou to be very helpful. During semester breaks, I even done internship at BHart Hexacom Ltd and studied and did project on GSM technology,VS and Network Deployment. Both internships stipend was not offered.

Placement Experience

We GOT LOTS OF PLACEMENTS FROM MANY COMPANIES. The first comapny which came was HDFC bank where 3 people got placed. The next company was metlife and 3 people was placed in this company too, and I was one of them. And we were the highly paid candidates of our batch and our pay was Rs.4.75 lakhs. Many companies also came like Kotak bank, India Bulls, Coke, SBI, Union Bank etc.

Faculty

Faculty. I should surely mention about them. The management really hand picked the faculties. They had so much of knowledge. Their way of teaching is not like a class room it was very practical that we cant forget things very fast. So many faculties from IIM and other major institutions also come to our college.

Campus Life

Each and every activity is conducted with great enthusiasm it may be studies or sports or cultural. Also students work for NGO and other social cause. Each year there is freshers party for first year students and second year students from their respective dept. Compared to boys number of girls are less.Everyone gets chance to speak out their opinion.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is designed by university of Pune. It is considered as one of the difficult as compared to other universities in Maharashtra. I found it difficult in first and second year but in third year and final year I did well. Electives were not too tough instead the unavability of proper books I had to refer several reference books.

Faculty

The faculty is extremely talented sourced from outside of this country. Foreign faculties are able to better articulate and teach subjects with live examples. Great experience going to classes. specially the programming classes.

Fee Structure And Facilities

If we compare to government colleges then we will see that the fee structure way above the usual standard. It becomes difficult for the middle class people to bear such fees. sometimes it becomes impossible to meet demands.

We also have Intercollege and intracollege competition. Each student can participate in any of the activities they can also represent our college in other colleges.

Placement Experience

20 candidates were placed in the company and only wipro came in the campus with the package of 1.21 Lacs per annum and it increases after every year. We also have a faculty of pool campus. We can also participate in that pool campus recruitment. Nut our college should provide more recruitment facility to students.

Wilson College is the most tolerate College when it come to Mumbai i believe. Preference and opportunities are given to all regardless of the background of the students. Infact the college supports the idea of bridging gaps between the minorities and the rest of the section of students.

Course Curriculum Overview

I have 5 subjects out of which 3 subjects are considered main papers. For instance I've Philosophy, English and Sociology as my main papers. In 3rd year, we are allowed to choose one of the 3 subjects as our major subjects which we will be specialized in.

Course Curriculum Overview

It was a two year course. My specialization was manufacturing. We had one year course work and one year for thesis. In course work we had to clear 8 subjects. in the first year 3 were elective and one optional. In 2nd year 1 compulsory (forming) and 3 optional based on the research topic you want to focus on. Overall there was good flexibility for the choice of subjects.

Placement Experience

B.Tech placements are better than Mtech. For M.Tech most of the research based companies offer packages averaging around 9 lac in Mechanical. Companies like GE, Rolls Roys, Tata motors, Eaton. Eaton gave highest package among reserch based comanies of 13L.

The environment is so nice and peaceful environment. There will be no politics or partiality in college. It is a friendly environment. There is no partiality in our college.

Exam Structure

Exams structure as per the JNTUK university standards and very strict and lab environment is good to learn. As every student have some hectic day once or more than once as lot of exams will be there in four years. Some semesters during result time chilled out some semester it will be hectic.
