It is minimum fees any college can offer for BCA in dehradun and rank 3rd. Very feasible for middle families who can't afford GEIT or DIT. Money was one of the reason I took admission in this college.
Covered most of the course of MCA in BCA. Got good amount of grooming with extra curricular. Some of the lecturer from outside (Guest lecture) who are professionals. So you get good exposure also.
College organises some good technical and cultural events annually. The technical event ACUMEN is organised by each branch separately and they bring out the latest advancements in their particular industry by conducting paper presentations, Quiz programmes, Model Making etc.The cultural event EUPHORIA is organised annually during which famous singers and celebrities are invited to the college for performance.
Placements are good though the number of core civil companies visited was less. Most of the students got placed in the software companies. The average salary offered was 3.5 lpa. Civil Companies that visted te campus are L&T, AARVE, Tracks and Towers etc.Software companies: Microsoft, Oracle, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro,ADP etc.

We are having a nice relationship with our college seniors. Even now we are maintaining the relationship through Email groups, facebook and whatsapp. We are organising several get together parties as a part of it.
There were 8 Semesters and there were internal exams for each curriculum. A total of 52 papers. Also there was a course project and seminar which needs to be submitted in the eight semester.

Management seat. My college infrastructure, its rank status, Staffs are superbly skilled, Good placements are offered, People once joined inside won't come out without job, very cultured n very strict, happiest moments in that strictness too. Offers various different courses. Staffs r not arrogant. Excellent managment with good food. Good hospitality.
Very good staffs facilitate with good knowledge and more practical skills. Staffs allow us a time for our general sessions n sharing of our concepts. They give us seminars which helps us to cultivate more knowledge. Keep successive assessments for our practices, overall excellent.

It is second costlier university in India I guess after KIIT. If consider all the fee such as mess, lib, hostel, tuition then for IT, CS like stream will cost you almost 10 lacs to complete the grads. But living in hostel and food mess is best in class. If you can afford you can be in AC accommodation too.
Coerces ware planned nicely such as basic then elevative learning in ongoing sems. Later on it becomes option based study program, where student are free to choose their path such as in IT if someone want to learn JAVA he can opt jave and its advance topics consecutively. No need to study other lnag.

It was strictly focused on oil and gas sector.first year (I and II semesters) are some as general engineering courses with 2 domain specific subjects and from second year on wards domain specific subjects keep on pouring.as the semesters passed, it was really hard to cover all subjects as petroleum engineering is very vast subject. so i have to work hard every semester than previous to secure good marks and be eligible to appear for the recruitment in campus in some very reputed companies of oil industry in the world. I was able to secure a job for me at the end of my engineering through campus selection.
This is a down time for oil industry as oil prices are at their lowest of 20 years. but this condition going to change in 1-2 years and oil prices will pick up. this industry has always been good for salary but it also require working in challenging areas. At the time i passed out in 2011, all my batch mates were placed in different companies and these companies CTC is above average. If you are lucky and there is no recession then you can get a good offer from college.
Initially my batch faced a lot of issues as we were left wondering if we were to semester or trimester pattern. Finally we had moved to trimester pattern which caused little chaos. However after our batch it was moved back to semester pattern, so it felt like rushing of syllabi and writing exams most of the time.
Expensive back then as facilities were not much except for our magnificnet building. However 3 yrs back when i visited it looked totally different, amphitheatre sort of seat arrangements. Library was stocked but not sufficient for all. Purchased books were mostly irrelevant.

Internships were not offered by my college when i was there. I have to do it by my own. I did it from CMC india ltd. in .NET technology but that was OK types not too good. And no stipend was offered at any time.
Course curriculum was according to the college standards. First year we studied the courses for all branches. In second year we started studying about for our branch subject only till final year.

Perizia is the first event we did in our college. This is from CSE department. All other department also did the technical and cultural events. Each year we will do cultural activities internal in the college also.

The course curriculum was good I Took marketing + IT as my dual specialization in Bangalore Institute Of Management Studies the college is affiliated with Bangalore University.
Best faculty provided by the Bangalore Institute Of Management Studies they are very helpful and very proactive. It keeps student to feel motivated while studying in college.

Campus life is simply super, As per my opinion every person should experience it. As the students will be comming from different place, religion. So it is very good exposure for a student to understand about the differences in the communites.
SNAP was a specfic entrance exam at that point of time, after getting the expected score for that particular Branch, the interview will be conducted and post that only the admission process will be there.
Our College didn't offer any internship programs but instead i got a golden opportunity to do my internship in ISRO, Bangalore. It was very challenging experience for me. i had to work on the Pressure and temperature transducers which are made up of MEMs technology and i even did their cal-liberation in vacuum and entire vacuum conditions. these transducers were made to use in the satellites.
We have 3 series exams in a semester in which they will take the average of the best 2 marks and will be added to the main paper,Exams was not that hectic. Teachers used to give important questions from the previous year papers and for the main semester exams they will provide us with the previous year questions and we have to do it like an assignment.
Faculty were good. Good teaching skills too and I must say I used to enjoy studying but some how the faculty didnt complete the syllabus on time. Subject: data analysis and interpretation was a very tough subject and teacher was not qualified it seems we had sums in it nd she used to bring a paper in which solved sums were there nd she used to see nd write and board.
As compared to other kj somaiya college of engineering has one of the highest fees we pay yearly 140750 it should be less its very expensive.college should try nd reduce the fees coz as per my calculation we pay rs 80 fr each day of our college, excluding holidays, exam days vacation public holiday.

Good. Got to learnt practicality of electronics specially Microcontrollers.I learnt many basics of digital electronics. While walking through many semesters, there were times when we had to really push through the courses - they seemed boring and hence unending. Electromagnetic engineering was one such subject but gradually black clouds disappeared.
College being Punjab region had good facility for sports - a wide open ground with running tracks well maintained around it. Workshops as afore described were knowledge imparting and I was not much into parties so my comment on hostel parties won't weigh much.
Fees as per semester and no expensive infact best fees and price effective.College classes used to take place in other financial institutions like Vishwa Bharti University in Noida thereby the cleanliness and other management was run according to the respective class area. Students were satisfies with all the service provided except water drinking issues in all the semesters we studied.

None but the atmosphere led to many suicides in the hostel especially amongst Btech as most students did not want others to perform. That was the only bad thing. The rest were good. Good campus life and a deviation from the Indian way of studying. Open book exams were tough as even studying didn't help. Concepts mattered a lot.
Open book exams and most people did not have much clue as to what is happening. Some of them studying helped but many were more based on our general understanding rather than doing a hectic workout. Also, discussions with classmates worked a lot in tackling these exams.
I took compute science and engineering there were all total of more than twenty subjects .There are no further elective subjects .Main subjects includes that od computer science .Rest others are realted to mechanics ,eletronics, electrical etc.
Through WBJEE got in engineering admission in AEC. Rank was good and was okay to take compute science engineering at Asansol Engineering college.

For an student we should remember each and every event should organised in such a way should not hamper their basic education and routine life. Extra curricular is required and motivate to student to do some extra learning and bright their future . Counselling of each and every student required.
Most of the faculty was experienced, management coordination with student and faculty was good. Faculty came from diversified culture. If any difficulty came, we can talk with respective teacher at any time. Really nice faculty i love them.
There was no company that came to offer internships. Although I was doing a 4 month internship regarding which the college co-operation was great. I was allowed the internship which prior permission and my examinations were taken care of and also my attendance. The college didnt provide me with this internship but it made sure that I fully avail of it.
The events are celebrated well. There are college festivals. Then there are days like superhero day, school day etc that students usually enjoy. Also traditional days where students had to dress up and the participation was good because even the faculty would follow these which was the best part and would encourage students for it.

Campus life is blissful with beautiful gardens. In mumbai it very difficult to get such pollution free green environment.the moment I entered campus I feel i am out of pollution zone very cool and peaceful atmosphere. Labs are extraordinary with modern equipments. Sports OK not at high level we use to play just for fun two ground are there for cricket and football, TT, Badminton, Carram, Chess, Basket Ball. World Class modern auditorium.
Good most of it practical experiments and with logical answers, if your good in thinking process than just mugging you will enjoy it.I found better then other Engg college with fixed syllabus need to take coaching classes waste of time and money. At UICT all syllabus design by Prof with best current industry knowledge and Fundamental theories.Just attend the class take note and apply logic during examination.
