KCET 2019 Result; Score Card, Cut off, Merit list

KEA has declared the KCET 2019 result in online mode on June 1. Shridhar Dodamani was declared as the topper in engineering. A total of 73,197 girls and 72, 866 boys have qualified in the exam as per the details released. The KCET result 2019 can be checked by entering the Registration Number.

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) authorities has requested candidates to enter their marks in CBSE/ CISCE / 10+2, etc. so that the result of KCET 2019 can be processed. KEA will declare KCET 2019 result tentatively in the last week of May in online mode wherein candidates have to check it by entering their registration number.

  • On the basis of candidates score and rank in KCET, the examination authority will conduct the counselling and seat allotment for admission to B.Tech programs across KCET Participating Institutes.
  • The admission to MBBS/BDS programs will be done through NEET while the admission to Architecture will be through NATA.

Instructions for Entering 10+2 Marks

  • Candidates must have passed in all subjects. Otherwise they are not eligible for admission.
  • Candidates who have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC Annual 2019 are not required to enter their Q.E. marks as the details will be obtained directly from the department of PUE
  • Candidates from other boards must however compulsorily enter 10+2 marks.
  • Additionally, the scanned copy of the mark cards/sheets mentioning the CET Admission Ticket No. also has to be uploaded

  • Step 3- Enter register number or roll number of 10+2 standard examination
  • Step 4- Next, enter marks for exah subject
  • Step 5- Enter total and maximum marks of all the subjects
  • Step 6- Upload scanned copy of CET Admission Ticket No.
  • Step 7- Submit the form 

How is KCET 2019 Merit/ Merit Rank calculated?

  • The final Answer Key of KCET 2019 is used during evaluation to calculate the merit order in the merit list of KCET 2019.
  • Ranks will be given to candidates as per their merit list declared by KEA.

Important

  • Separate result sheets reflecting the engineering ranks will be published as per the date announced for it.
  • Ranks will also be allotted to those candidates too whose result is withheld for the want of Second PUC/12th/qualifying marks.

Karnataka CET Result Date 2019

KCET entrance exam was conducted on April 18 (Biology & Mathematics) and April 19 (Physics & Chemistry) through offline mode. The provisional answer key has been released by the KEA after one day of the examination. KCET Result 2019 will be declared in the month of May through online mode. Candidates can view their ranks in the month of May 2019. The KCET Counselling will be started from the 1st ​week of June 2019.


How to Check KCET 2019 Result?

Candidates can view their results by following the procedure given below.

    1. Visit the official website of KEA i.e. kea.kar.nic.in
    2. Enter KCET 2019 Registration Number and click on Submit button
    3. Check the result of KCET 2019 and download it for future
    4. Check whether the result sheet reflects any changes in the qualifying marks. Also, cross-verify the code on CET result sheet.
    5. If any discrepancies are found then it can be challenged.
    6. Take a printout of the result after download it.
    7. Secure the printout of the result for further process.
    8. The list of first 2000 rank holders will be available online on the official website.

    Note: Candidates who belong to CBSE/ CISE/ Repeaters/ Outside Karnataka will be required to submit their 10+2 qualifying marks. Candidates failing to upload their class 12th/ 10+2 qualifying exam will not find a place in the merit list for admissions.


    KCET 2019 Merit List

    The merit list of the candidates will be prepared based on the marks scored by the candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in KCET 2019 along with the marks scored in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the qualifying examination in the ratio of 50:50. Ranks will be assigned only to those candidates who will be eligible as per the norms prescribed by the conducting body.

(Fishery Science), B.Tech (Food science & Tech.), B.Sc. (Ag. Marketing and Co-operation) and B.Tech (Agriculture Engineering)These courses will have separate merit lists. These lists will be prepared on the basis of the subjects required by a particular score. The score in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology will be considered in equal proportions.
    Bachelor of Veterinary Science and animal husbandry (B.V. Sc. & A.H.)The marks secured in Physics, Chemistry and Biology will be considered in equal proportions while preparing the KCET 2019 merit list.
    2nd year B.PharamThe candidate has to give exams of all the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. The marks combination will be PCB or PCM.
    Pharam- DOn the basis of the performance of the candidate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects i.e., PCM or PCB marks, the candidate names will be placed in the merit list according to performance on the exam.

    KCET 2019 Cut off

    • The cutoff of KCET 2019 is the closing rank at which admission to a particular B.Tech program, at a particular institute, is closed.
    • KCET cutoff 2019 will be different as per the different categories of candidates.
    • Only those candidates, who secure ranks either equal to or above the Cut off of KCET 2019 will be considered for admission.

    KCET 2019 Counselling Procedure

    • The KCET Counselling will be commenced in the 2nd week of June 2019.
    • Shortlisted candidates will be called for the counselling process on the basis of their merit in the entrance examination.
    • Candidates’ documents will be verified at the time of counselling in the prescribed counselling centre. So, candidates have to report personally in the counselling.
    • The allotment of seats will take place as per the marks scored in the entrance examination, seat availability & filled choices.
    • Candidate can participate in other counselling rounds, if they can not satisfy with the KCET Seat Allotment.

    • 10th & 12th Marksheet & Passing Certificate

    KCET 2019 FAQs

    Ques: What all details will I need to feed in order to KCET Results?

    Ans. Candidates will require the login credentials received at the time of registration for KCET to access the results.

    Ques: Will the exam conducting authority display the answer key?

    Ans. Yes, the answer key and the response sheets will be displayed at the time of result declaration along with candidate’s scores and other details related to the examination.

    Ques: What will be the marking scheme followed for KCET?

    Ans. For each of the 180 questions, 60 from each of the three sections- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, candidates will be awarded 1 mark for every correct answer. Also, there is no negative marking for the incorrect responses.

    Ques: What is the procedure to be followed after result declaration?

    Ans. After the declaration of result by the exam conducting authority, candidates will have to appear for centralized counselling. All the candidates who qualify the written test will be able to apply for the counseling session.

    Ques: Which institutes will accept KCET scores?

    Ans. All the participating institutes during the counseling as well as other state-funded and private institutes of Karnataka accept KCET scores for admissions to the first year of the program.

    Ques: What are the documents required for counselling?

    Ans. Candidates will require following documents for counselling:

    Ques: Is there any provision for rechecking of the response sheets?

    Ans. No, there are only certain issues in the result which can be challenged.They must submit objections within three days of result declaration.

    Ques: If I am not satisfied with the results displayed, can I apply for re-evaluation?

    Ans. Candidates can raise challenges only in following cases:

    • Version code of KCET Question paper incorrectly marked
    • Qualifying Examination marks incorrect/ missing
    • KCET Result not displayed

    Ques: I have completed the qualifying exam from outside Karnataka and appeared for KCET. But my name is not displayed in the merit list. What should I do?

    Ans. Candidates from CBSE/ ICSE/ Repeaters and Outside Karnataka will have to submit the qualifying examination marks in order to find their names in the merit list. The link to submit the qualifying marks will be available at the portal itself.
