KCET 2018 RESULT & COUNSELLING
STATE LEVEL OFFLINE TEST
KCET 2018 result will be declared in the last week of May 2018. The conducting body will announce the result on the official website. Candidates can check their result by entering their roll number and password. The qualified candidates on the basis of KCET 2018 Result will be called for counselling process.
KCET 2018 will consider 2 different exams NEET and NATA . The admission to MBBS/BDS programs will be done through NEET while the admission to Architecture will be through NATA.
Candidates have to appear in the appropriate set of exams according to the course of choice. Candidates who wish to enrol in engineering must appear for thePhysics, Mathematics and Chemistry, likewise goes for biology related courses like Homeopathy, Ayurveda and Pharmacy.
Candidates will be shortlisted for the counselling on the basis of the rank achieved. They have to bring the set of important documents for the KCET 2018 Counselling. The candidates, who fail to appear for the counselling on the scheduled date, will be entertained in the subsequent round of counselling and not the same one.

Candidates have to follow a simple 4 step process to get access to KCET 2018 Result:
The list of first 2000 rank holders will be available online on the official website.
KCET 2018 result will contain the details of the score secured by the candidate in a particular section. The score card of KCET 2018 result will contain the following details:
In case the candidate is writing the exam in Kannada language, the scorecard will contain the details of the language score.
There is no provision of negative marking in the KCET 2018.
KCET merit list will be prepared on the basis of the score obtained by the candidate in KCET 2018. The scorecard will contain the details of the sectional score and minimum cut off. Candidates with higher marks will have their names displayed on the top of the list. The candidate with lower marks will have their name displayed in the lower half of the KCET 2018 merit list.
Candidates will be invited for KCET counselling on the basis of the KCET 2018 merit list. The seat allotment will take place according to the merit list.
There will be 5 different KCET merit lists which will be different for each course. The 5 different merit lists are as follows:

These lists will be prepared on the basis of the subjects required by a particular score. The score in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology will be considered in equal proportions.|
|Bachelor of Veterinary Science and animal husbandry (B.V. Sc. & A.H.)||The marks secured in Physics, Chemistry and Biology will be considered in equal proportions while preparing the KCET 2018 merit list.|
|2nd year B.Pharam||The candidate has to give exams of all the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. The marks combination will be PCB or PCM.|
|Pharam- D||On the basis of the performance of the candidate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects i.e., PCM or PCB marks, the candidate names will be placed in the merit list according to performance on the exam.|
KCET 2018 Answer key will be released by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). It will be available online. The candidates will receive the official answer key in the month of May, however, coaching institutes release their answer key within few hours after the exam. It will be issued separately for each subject Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & Biology.
Steps to download Answer Key:
The candidates can analyze their performance through the key. KCET will release provisional and final answer key. Candidates can challenge the answer key right after the release of provisional copy. They can do so till the designated date.
After the last date to challenge the answer key, a final copy of answer key will be released which is supposed to get online in the last week of May 2018.

The KCET 2018 counselling is required to be attended by the students in the order of the KCET merit list. The candidates have to appear for the counselling for the various undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The counselling for various courses will be conducted according to the KCET counselling schedule. The counselling will start in the second week of June 2018. The KCET counselling will end by last week of June 2018. The candidates late for the counselling will not be entertained in between the process of counselling.
The counselling will be conducted in various rounds to fill the seats according to the KCET 2018 seat matrix. The candidate must bring the following set of documents at the time of KCET 2018 counselling:
Q1. What all details will I need to feed in order to KCET Results?
Ans. Candidates will require the login credentials received at the time of registration for KCET to access the results.
Q2.Will the exam conducting authority display the answer key?
Ans. Yes, the answer key and the response sheets will be displayed at the time of result declaration along with candidate’s scores and other details related to the examination.
Q3. What will be the marking scheme followed for KCET?
Ans. For each of the 180 questions, 60 from each of the three sections- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, candidates will be awarded 1 mark for every correct answer. Also, there is no negative marking for the incorrect responses.
Q4. What is the procedure to be followed after result declaration?
Ans. After the declaration of result by the exam conducting authority, candidates will have to appear for centralized counselling. All the candidates who qualify the written test will be able to apply for the counseling session.
Q5. Which institutes will accept KCET scores?
Ans. All the participating institutes during the counseling as well as other state-funded and private institutes of Karnataka accept KCET scores for admissions to the first year of the program.

Ans. Candidates can raise challenges only in following cases:
Q12. I have completed the qualifying exam from outside Karnataka and appeared for KCET. But my name is not displayed in the merit list. What should I do?
Ans. Candidates from CBSE/ ICSE/ Repeaters and Outside Karnataka will have to submit the qualifying examination marks in order to find their names in the merit list. The link to submit the qualifying marks will be available at the portal itself.
