KCET 2020 SEAT ALLOTMENT

Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) will start the KCET 2020 Seat Allotment procedure after the result declaration. Seat Allotment is the last step of the admission process, results for which will be released after choice filling procedure is completed. Candidates have to login in KCET 2020 account and download the seat allotment letter which contains details on alloted college, reporting date.

Seat allotment is the last step of KCET counselling process. During KCET seat allotment 2020, candidates will be allotted seats according to their ranking in the merit and the choice of college and courses filled by them.
KCET 2020 seat allotment will be conducted in two or more rounds, depending on the candidate. Candidates need to log in to download their admission/seat allotment letter. Qualified candidates will have to visit the allotted institute for reporting with verification slip, secret key and the print out of the admission/seat allotment letter.
The authorities will release the mock allotment of KCET 2020, after the choice filling process is over. Candidates must note that the mock allotment will not consist of fixed allotment but will be significant of which seats will be allotted as per their merit and selected preferences. After the announcement of mock allotment result, the candidates will be able to modify, update, add or delete options according to how they wish to be alloted. Seat allotment will not be done on the basis of mock allotment so the candidates are not required to their respective alloted institute during the round. |Round one||First phase of seat allotment begins based on the merit and priority of options by candidates. If a candidate who is allotted seat in the second round after the allotment of seat in the first round, then the first round allotment will stand cancel. As soon as the last seat and rank are allotted, the seat allotment process ends.|
|Round Two||Similar process as the round one. In case, after the first round conclusion, there are still unfilled seats left under Rural and Kannada Medium quota reserved categories then these seats will be converted into the General reserved categories.|
|Round Three||The remaining unfilled seats under General reserved categories, with reserved special category seats, will be converted to the General merit category and will be offered to the candidates of that category.|
The applicant, if allotted a seat in the first round, will get a chance to fill choice. It is a must for a qualified candidate to fill the choice as, if doesn’t select any of the choices then his/her allotment will be stand cancelled. Mentioned below are the choices that candidate get to fill.
After the first round of seat allotment, if a candidate is with the allotted seat then he/she will have pay tuition fee either through online or challan.
After the payment of the fee, the admission order can be downloaded from the official website.
This is given to those candidates who are satisfied with the allotted seat but also wishes to participate in the next round of counselling for higher options. In case the candidate is not allotted seat in the next round, his/her allotted seat in the first round will still be available.
Candidates opting for second round of counselling inspite of getting seat in first round should not pay fee for the allotted seat in the first round.
Candidates should not even download the admission order nor report to the allotted college.
If a candidate is allotted with the higher order options, in such case seat allotted in first round automatically stands cancel.
In case candidate is not allotted with higher order option, then the seat allotted in the first round will remain.
There are chances that a candidate is not satisfied with the allotted seat and wishes to participate in the next round with the same entered options. In such cases, that candidate need to opt for choice 3.
Candidate should not pay the admission fee for the allotted seat in the first round.
Candidates opting choice 3 indicates that they are rejecting the seat allotted to them in the first round.
This choice is applicable for those candidates who are not satisfied with the seat and has got a seat elsewhere.
Candidates who opts for choice 4 indicates that they are quitting KCET counselling and seat allotment process.
These candidates will not be considered for further rounds.
Such candidates will have no claim on the allotted seat.
To explain in simple words, suppose, a candidate has entered 180 options during the counselling. The seat allotted to him/ her in the first round is the priority number 123. In such case, the priority number 1 to 122 are the higher order options.
KEA, the exam authority will conduct a special round if vacant seats are left after the second extended round. Candidates will be able to select fresh options for the special round and the allotment result will be declared in online mode.
