MAH CET Exam Day Requirements

MAH CET Exam Day Instructions: Thousands of candidates will be appearing for MAH CET 2019, scheduled for March 9 and 10. The exam will be conducted across various exam centers in the state of Maharashtra. Indian citizens, having a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university can apply online before February 15. Register now!

There are certain rules and regulations defined by the authorities that must be strictly followed by the candidates appearing for MAH CET 2019 The article will focus on the things and important document a candidate need to carry to the exam center. Also, we will be focusing on Dos and DON’Ts during the exam.

MAH CET Identity Verification

Candidates must carefully check that they carry admit card and required ID Proof before leaving for the exam. If any of the documents are missing, the candidate will be barred from appearing for the exam. Check MAH CET Syllabus

The candidate’s identity will be verified with the details provided on the hall ticket, available from March 1, 2019. Acceptable Photo IDs are:

  • PAN Card/ Passport/ Driving License/ Voter’s ID Card
  • Bank Passbook with photograph
  • Photo identity proof issued by a Gazzetted Officer on official letterhead along with photograph
  • Photo identity proof issued by a People’s Representative on official letterhead along with a photograph.
  • Valid recent Identity Card issued by a recognized College/ University
  • Aadhar card with a photograph/ Employee ID/  Bar Council Identity Card

Note: E-Aadhar Card and Ration card are not considered as proof of identity verification. In the case of mismatch of any information in either ID or admit card, the candidate will not be allowed to appear in the exam. The candidate will not be allowed to sit in the exam in case of doubtful identity proof also.

Important Instructions for MAH CET

  • The female candidates who produce an original marriage certificate/ original gazzetted notification or affidavit as a proof of their name will be allowed to give MAH CET 2019.
  • Any textual material such as slips, notes etc. are prohibited inside the examination hall. Also, electronic devices such as phones, calculators won’t be permitted.
  • Listen carefully to the instructions given by the invigilator before the exam starts as it will prevent from any panic situation during exam, thus, saving your time. 
  • Candidates mustn’t devote a lot of time on a single question and carefully divide time for every question in the exam.
  • Inform the invigilator in case the system shuts down unexpectedly, you’ll be allotted a new system. Don’t panic, the answers marked already will be saved.
  • The system will be locked in case the candidate presses any key on the system. Candidate will be at loss as to restore the test time will be needed and thus the time that candidate will get will be less than 2 hours 30 minutes.
  • Also, read the instructions carefully given regarding the question paper and MAH CET Exam Pattern before the exam commences.

Candidates Reporting Late for Exam

Candidate must carefully check the reporting time mentioned on the MAH CET Admit card and report before time at MAH CET Exam Center. Candidate must reach the exam center as per the reporting time as before the examination, there are many formalities that are to be completed such as verification and collecting requisite document, logging in and giving instructions.

In case, any candidate is unable to reach the MAH CET Exam center by the mentioned time, they will not be allowed to give the exam.

MAH CET Exam Centres

Candidates have to choose and mention their choices of the MAH CET 2019 Exam Center in their order of preference in the application Form. DTE, Maharashtra holds the authority to allocate the test center to any candidate. The list of MAH CET Exam Centers in Maharashtra are enlisted in the table below:

Guidelines for PwD Candidates

Candidates applying under the PwD category will not be provided with any facility of a scribe by the conducting authority. All the visually impaired and candidates with adversely affected writing speed permanently can bring self-paid scribe to the exam center with them.

Rules applicable for the use of Scribe by PWD candidates

  • Candidate appearing in the exam cannot appear as a scribe for any other candidate. Scribe of one candidate cannot be a scribe for other candidates.
  • Candidate who is eligible and wishes to avail the benefit has to notify the same in the online application form. Any subsequent request will not be addressed.
  • Scribe can be of any academic background.
  • Both candidate and scribe have to give an undertaking stating that the scribe fulfills the MAH CET 2019 Eligibility criteria laid by the exam conducting authority. The candidature of the applicant is at risk if any one of them is found ineligible for the exam.
  • Candidates using scribe will get an extra time of 20 minutes per hour.
  • Candidates who have registered in advance can only avail this facility as compensatory time will system based and it can’t be allotted to candidates who don’t notify about the same in MAH CET 2019 Application Form.

Guidelines for Candidates with Locomotors Disability and Cerebral Palsy

A candidate whose writing hand is permanently affected (minimum 40% impairment), thus affecting the performance of candidate, will be eligible for extra time of 20 minutes per hour or otherwise advised.

Guidelines for Visually Impaired Candidates

  • The candidates who suffer from not less than 40% disability may opt to view the content of the online test in enlarged font and these candidates will be entitled to extra time of 20 minutes per hour
  • If visually impaired candidates avail the facility of a scribe, they will not get the option of viewing the questions in enlarged font. However,  such candidates will get any extra time of 20 minutes per hour or as advised by the authority.
