I just cleared JEE MAIN examination to get admission in this college. Unfortunately my rank was not very good as I had desired. I prepared for JEE dropping one year in Allen career Institute Kota. Experience of Kota was awesome and unforgettable for me. The way I studied there was very good, because of a great number of students competition level is very high there. I got admission in very good college on my rank in jee main. There is not any better college in which I could got admission on that rank. I preferred Mechanical branch due to some interest in automobile. In reality a student passing from school has not enough knowledge about branches and interests.

Faculty of the college is highly educated, many of them studied abroad for higher studies. Professors are very helpful for students. Teach specialty of core subjects are high educated and having good experience of teaching as well as in practical. Workshop of the college is one of the best in chandigarh so this college is best college for mechanical engineering.

I took EMCET and I like to do engineering but unfortunately I didn't got a rank so that it was near to my home town and it will be so convinient to me and my parent to meet at any time so I got in to dis college i took NRI seat in electronics and communication the best branch forever.

Ya this the best part in our college we have medhamelon for a week and different people from all over India will come to our college and give ppts, projects, paper submission, culturals and sports competition like volley ball throw ball, basket ball, cricket, chess, table tenies.

Overall we enjoyed our hostel life, enjoying at nights was a schedule, opposite sex too was attracted easily as even they had no restrictions, the localite peoes were a bit intrusions but were handled with care, our college hostel itself was one India as we had various types of people from different state with different parts of the countries.

We had various cultural events going on apart from technical events too on a timely basis. We had various events as annual day function, sports day, picnics NGO's organisation events. Apart from the above we also have Zion as one of our technical fest, wiz includes robotics, games, seminars, exhibitions, college projects etc.

Alumni association i have to give a big hand's for those who are alumni association they are providing education for those who need education and they don't have money they're taken a responsible for some students whole year and send the money from abroad hat's off them.

I had done internship at steel plant visakhapatnam but my college dont provide any such internship programs but they provide us persmission to undertake any industrial training.

The college offers a very good internship opportunity with the leading mncs & gives a very good learning environment the stipend amount is also good but generally it varies depending on the performance of the student.

We enjoyed campus life very much we used to do lots of flirting in college campus we used to go campus canteen and used to have samoda and chai. Generally we were not having money to have food in campus canteen.

In 12th standard I got 70% hence i got direct admission in university teaching department earlier I tried pre engineering test however not succeed to crack it hence i choose 2nd option.

Yes I am very much satisfied with the extra circular activities. We used to have debates, events, presentations, etc. Once IIT kanpur held robotics program in our campus which helped to have practical knowledge on robotics.

It is good well organized manner had good faculty to get knowledge on different subjects electives like communications. TV etc we have good helpful subject like control system, sdlc, emw etc.

For engineers graduating from the college, the alumni network is quite strong. For MBA's there was very little/no alumni support during my time. The college/students has/have taken an initiative to form a strong alumni network to bolster the placements. Its still in its infancy and is likely that will develop into a full blown program in a few years.

I was the student of ECE so i will say about the same department. Faculty of the department is good and are serious and helpful about serious students. Hod is experienced with excellent knowledge. They listen the problems of student and try to short-out even if the problem is related to the faculty or exam date.

Yes that depends on the percentage you scored in 12th std. and it is given and there is another schol. for the toppers of the department but one have to run hard to get the facility. College has understanding with the local PNB but only upto the college admission period after that i dont have any knowledge.

Some alumni just share a bond like big brother or sister as a mentor guide they also help as in many ways like our studies, placement, companies details. CET 21200 rank this college is near to our native for my rank i don't get any other course in that time civil engineering course have less valuable because no job for civil engineer in that time so i got this course and also this college is reputed naming of all engineering colleges admission process are all simple no need to take any worry's regarding this all staffs are friendly and intelligence for doing the works.

Campus is very good big one we can roam around the campus for good breath good work shops for survey also inside the campus only we can do survey every thing around 60acre of land is there in that college swimming jim running track inoor stadium every thing is there with in the campus.

Exam was the most important time of our college , I do not know about day scholars but its very good time for hostel student specially for me, I do not how my ability becomes to good during exam day, we use to play games during day time and other see the game by keeping books in hand, no body study during day time, we use to study at night by making tee many times with cigarettes. Keep on grasping the books but unfortunately my branch mates do not show full contribution for studies, they provide me old notes but I use to read happily and predict questions of exam and I found many times my prediction was too good and people thought my relative provide me question and I laugh but its just simply prediction and I think its due to happiness during exam days.

It is very good in practical representation of students work on robotics even students use to go IIT for their projects and they got good response but its depends on students not on faculty members . The most good is freshers party during that we funda free no more slaps, no terror of seniors and everything dance, song and funny shows etc college also organize annual function where you find many talented person, the one thing I found many students are good singers, my friends always told go for stage but I never face the stage.

About faculty if i want to say the its 60% good teachers over there if a set the perametar on the knowlage and the exernce about that cource, and the remaning is the 40% that are not good on there subject even they never know how to teach a masters student.

Its good according to the need of that cource, its more then good to the cource details and the needs and they provide the full knowlage about tha marketing and finance that strngley needed by the cource and according to that the contents are good to that.

SRM Engineering Entrance Exam was the exam I took and my rank was 25,978. Why I opted for this college?First and foremost, unlike most of the other colleges, my college allows you to 'think' and everybody's thoughts have a place in the college. Secondly, because of the generous freedom given in all aspects, you learn the most important quality of decision making and everyone is allowed to talk to anybody they please, irrespective of gender which I think is more important than educational aspects, as the more you interact the more you grow as a person. Third, this college is a cultural hub, you get to learn about a lot of cultures. Fourth, it has a different approach to the concept of education (do check out the website about options like subject and faculty choosing) and funds to sponsor even the pettiest of research ideas if found to be valid. Fifth, it probably has the most opportunities accumulated in one campus from Semester abroad program to internship and placement options. Sixth, the most important reason, for once the college is actually like what they had described in the prospectus. Admission Process: There is no interview as such for selection, you are given your options based on your rank. I chose chemical engineering because of its career options and also because it interests me the most.

As I already mentioned I have taken chemical engineering and SRM KTR has the unique option of subject and faculty choosing where you get to choose the subjects you want to learn and the faculty you'd like to be taught by. In the first three semesters, there are no electives, however you can choose your faculty and in the fourth semester, chemical engineering course has the following electives : Energy technology and management, renewable energy engineering and enzyme engineering and technology. Given that it was a women's college, it always felt like a sisterhood. A few course related workshops were organised every semester, and help conceptualise the application of theories. Apart from the literary events held during the cultural festival, the english department also organised inter collegiate debates and quizzes every year. Sports is always encouraged it was the only women's college in the city to have a swimming pool. The Muslim run management meant that the college was a little more conservative in the terms of events and activities.
