Eligibility for B.Tech Packaging Technology

The candidate applying for the course must complete 10+2 or equivalent examination with minimum 60% aggregate in PCM/PCB. The candidates who have successfully completed a diploma in production technology can also apply for this course through lateral entry. Packaging Technologist Packaging technologists are responsible for the design, development and manufacture of packaging for a range of products. Their main role is to create new packaging products in response to briefs. Packaging technologists work on packaging ideas for food and drink, cosmetics, toiletries and lots more.
Packaging Development Manager Packaging development manager are responsible for generating new packaging products in response to briefs and ensuring that packaging products meet set requirements and specifications. Their duties also include producing samples to try out different materials and designs. Liaising with marketing, purchasing and production staff and running trials to check packaging for suitability and testing for performance under various conditions is also included.
Researcher To become a researcher candidate must opt for further education in the field of packaging technology. Candidates can apply for master’s course and doctoral course in the stream and conduct research. Upon completion of the research, they can continue as an independent researcher or work as a professor in colleges or universities. They can also join as project leader or research director and lead or assist in government funded research.

Course Structure for B.Tech Packaging Technology

Bachelor of Technology in Packaging Technology is a four-year program which comprises of total eight semesters. And an examination is held at the end of each semester.
