Therapeutic is the process of treating and caring for the patient, both to prevent and prevent disease or for relieving pain or injury. The phrase therapeutic comes from the Greek word therapeutics which means "inclined to serve". Broadly speaking, therapeutics means treating and caring for the patient in a comprehensive way to prevent disease as well as manage specific problems.            

Exercise, diet, and mental factors are integral to disease prevention as well as disease process management. Specific measures are taken to treat specific symptoms, including the use of medications to relieve pain or to treat infections. Surgery to remove diseased tissue or to replace badly functioning or ineffective organs. Counselling or psychotherapy is employed to relieve stress. Finally, depending on some parameters, the results obtained are expected or even an unexpected outcome. It is a type of prophylactic drug that seeks to identify risk factors in each individual and to reduce or eliminate those risks to prevent disease. The primary goal is to prevent the disease in particular by trying to suppress it before the disease develops. Some examples of early prevention are vaccinating children against the disease. Some diseases are detected before the onset of symptoms known as secondary prevention or its predecessor, to prevent or cure them. Some examples of preventative medicine include regular cervical Papanicolaou test (pap smear) screening and mammography. Pain

Pain is the most common of all the symptoms and often requires treatment before the specific cause is known. Pain is both a mental and physical experience and is difficult to compare from one person to another. One patient may have a higher pain threshold and complain as soon as the disease progresses to an early stage, while another may complain of pain at a lower pain threshold than most people will ignore or tolerate. 

Nausea and Vomiting

Nausea and vomiting are common symptoms that can arise from diseases of the gastrointestinal tract (including gastroenteritis or intestinal obstruction), from medications such as painkillers or digoxin, or nervous system disorders such as migraines or motion sickness. Vomiting is controlled by a vomiting center located in the medulla oblongata of the brainstem.

Diarrhoea

It is usually caused by an acute infection of bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Salmonella, and Staphylococcus aureus. These agents can enter the body by ingesting food, water, or contaminants. In children, acute diarrhoea is usually self-limiting and dehydration is initially prevented in treatment. Traveller’s diarrhoea affects half of the travellers in the developing world.

Cough

Cough is a normal reflex that helps to clear respiratory discharge and foreign matter. It can also be caused by irritation of the airways or stimulation of receptors in the lungs, diaphragm, ears, and stomach. The most common cause of whooping cough is the common cold. Chronic cough is often caused by irritation and excessive mucus production as a result of cigarette smoking or nasal discharge associated with an allergic reaction.

Insomnia

Insomnia is the feeling of falling asleep or difficulty sleeping or the feeling that sleep is not fresh. Transient insomnia can occur after a stressful life event or schedule change, as experienced by shift workers or those who travel to multiple time zones. Disrupted sleep may be related to taking stimulant medications or to anxiety, depression, or treatment conditions related to pain. Adults are sleepless and their sleep is lighter and is characterized by frequent waking. This situation can be made worse by an afternoon nap.
