Campus life is pleasant with people from different parts of India meeting and getting to know each other the gender ratio is off balance and the number of girls is very less compared to boys. There of plenty of diversity in the campus and a number of extra curricular activities to take part in there is no discrimination among students and everyone here is very tolerant of each other's origins, choices and lifestyle.

Placement opportunities are really good for B.Tech courses but not so much in core non circuital branches and even lesser for M.Tech and other PG students when it comes to placements, the main focus of the college is on B.Tech students and PG students don't get the same kind of opportunities that being said, 30 40 % of the class does get placed and the others try for off campus placements.

Placements and job opportunities are really good with a large number of reputed companies visiting for campus placements these companies also offer large CTC packages and some students even got a package of rs 25 lpa though PG students don't enjoy the kind of placement oppurtunities that the UG students do and only a small number of us get placed from college.

We have a number of fests the main ones are festember It is the official cultural fest of NIT Trichy it attracts a large crowd and is very popular among other colleges too pragyan it is our cultural fest and is appreciated and taken part in by a lot of other colleges of southern IndiaThere are plenty of other events too that are held throughout the year.

CET, scored 1324/and found this college as the best one in terms of academics and co-curricular activities. The lecturers were amazing with lots of enthu and professionalism.

Gender ratio is almost 60:40 (boys to girls)No dorm parties as such Lot of workshops are provided by companies like Bosch, Ashok leyland, etcAs far as Ethnicity is concerned its a mixture of many ethnic groups which gel along sometimes and sometimes don't. Management does politics sometimes and are biased towards certain students who have close ties with the management.

Since computer science is a bachelors degree, there were a few opportunities on research provided you are a part of IEEE organization. However courses such as Phd & MS are offered that give the students an opportunity to so research. Apart from these the lecturers are encouraging who provide there time to help in research activities upon interest of the students.

Actually yeah they do provide us internships but as we all mite already know the opportunities for mech students in internships are very less compared to other branches of enginering bt still we do get a few internships like the one I'd got whch ws quite small bt still hey, thts an internship so please dont think or worry abt the internships and all the final goal is just getting placed.

The seniors here were just too good with us and the alumni network also cuz even im am alumni now and we still are in contact with one another and also the college and the students also. We were also well treated from our seniors and we also continued the same with our juniors there are no ragging as such but yeah people do tease around simply for fun but not the very high levels.

The placement process is also well when compared to other colleges there are more than 50 companies our college students get palced in a year. Like wipro ,tcs, ctss, pollaris etcthe package is around 17,000 and above.

Now there are two companies went for our college sanspariel, hexaware technologies. The interview process is really good .They conduct the apptitude test,tecnical,Group discussion,and HR interview respectively.

There is no college internship for our students they didnt offer any stipend but they are giving some training classes regarding job opportunities and some english spoken labs and communication interviews are there.

Faculty was not that much good we have to prepare by ourselves only library is there we need to get some books and old question papers faculty maximum are M.Tech persons and lab assistants are diploma guys.

Our campus life for continuous four years is really really awesome. We achieved our academics along with good culture and standards. Being its an coeducation our ratio is to be average 40:20 based on the departments. We use to be equally participated in all the events including academics, sports and cultural. In our campus we use to celebrate every festival equally towards strong unity. All kind of economic back ground people use to be there in our college with same priorities.

The major event in our college is our college anniversary, we literally blast on that day with all kind of fun and activities. On the same day we use to have sports events, technical events and at last cultural events. Freshers day is even good along with inter university fairs. We use to have chance to participate in personality development sessions conducted outside the campus, like Stony carter etc.

The two main events organise at NIT hamirpur are Hill'fair and nimbus. Hill'fair is the cultral event organised in odd semester while nimbus is technical event various students of nearby colleges participate in these events various clubs perform during these events and a pre hillfair event is organized by team in4mals i.e. campus star.

8 out of 10 the placement record at NIT Hamirpur is fine any other companies like Verizon, Drishti, software, Godrej, Maruti Suzuki, Oracle, Mu Sigma, Samsung electronics and many others visited the campus the average package offered to the student is 5 to 6 lacs and highest package goes upto 18 lacs.

The college hosts a number of festivals,most falling between December and February. The BBI fest Synergy,BScIT fest Renegade,BMS fest Sharpshooters and the BMM fest Frames provide cushioning for the common cultural festival,Seasons which a number of colleges from across the city participate in. Frames is a one-of-a-kind festival since it involves only screening of movies and attracts stars from Bollywood every year.Fantasies is the biggest inter college fest.

My college life I enjoyed alot be it playing pranks on friends or making fun of lectures. 75 percent attendance is compulsory however I managed to get it and enjoyed in the campus playing carrom, badminton etc. Mass bunking was the main motto of the students when it was too hectic to even Bare one more lecture.

It is good as we get the theoretical as well as practical knowledge from the faculties of the college each and every thing is explained in detail by the teaching faculties this course have many job opportunities. engineering is a wide field and there are many job opportunities that students get in this field.

Techventure is the technical event held in our college students from different colleges comes to participate in our college another event is the cultural event named Lumina. Inter college and college competitions are conducted in the event dance, singing and many other things are performed in this event.

Each year student elections are held for various clubs and for food arrangements interaction of the student community with the administration of the university hostel facilities and coordination of active sports and cultural activities in the university. Our academic programs are backed up with appropriate co-curricular and extra-curricular inputs promoting culture,sports,self-governance and values all of which help the students towards becoming complete human beings. There are no such words like gender discrimination,racial discrimination in the dictionary of our students. The students of the institute live together in the hostels which helps in developing a healthy and social relationship among them. Ragging is strictly prohibited in the campus.

We have three fests that our college holds Plinth Techno-Management fest this is the youngest of three fests organized last year with extreme passion and at a very high level. But it failed to attract crowd desportivos Sports fest participation growing every year from a lot of neighboring colleges and also a decent amount of participation from outside colleges also vivacity cultural fest one of the largest inter college fest of Rajasthan with a lot of participation from local colleges and also a decent amount of participation from outside colleges makes it competitive.

The course curriculum, designed by the parent University, Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Faizabad was very huge and covering almost all the aspects of studies, it gave enough knowledge and exposure about the topics and enhanced my awareness and expertise on those areas.The curriculum was very concurrent and lot of recent past topics were also covered, it also had the history about that topic, so a student could get the glimpse of the history and recent past as well. Teachers used to guide us to various research papers, which also used to give the students the current perspective about that subject/topic.

It was a merit based selection, and I took admission in the Bachelor of Arts course (B.A.) with English Literature, Political Science, Sociology. In 3rd year of the college I had to leave one subject and I gave up Sociology.English Literature is my one of my favourite subject and I always wanted to study this, hence I chose B A course and later on I pursued Masters in English Literature from the same college as this was one of the best college in studies and maintained a high standards for the discipline.

The campus life so for has been the best way to spend in an engineering college and I surety know that's it will continue to be in the same way. Tills the end but I don't think I'll ever before read are prepared to leave this college finally but still life doesn't end here and so well have to move on. The labs and the equipments are bought new to the campus each year regularly and so that mite not be an issue with anyone.

Well about the fests we cannot put a shop to the crowd and the participants over here as I sand before they offer not just engineer. But also many other courses and as they have lots of money to spend upon the fests. There are no needs for students to go in search of the sponsors to feed for their fests.

As far as i remember, about 80% of the students got placed. I am not making this up, I was there till the end of the college days, so I know well. The opportunities are pretty good for marketing students, the placements are very well for them, you won't run short of companies. But yes in terms of Finance, HR and Operations, the placements were a bit dry in our batch. My batch comprised of total 119 students. I don't remember the stats that well, but the highest package that was offered was around 6-7 lacs, lowest was 3 lacs. The average was around 3.7 or something. Mine too was 5.25 lacs. Some of the companies that came at my placement season were Quess Corp, Deloitte, Kotak Mahindra, Madura Lifestyle, Icici, HDFC, Lexi, CitiBank, CCD, Naukri.com and many more.

We have total of 5 events.- Operacy, a 2 day event that takes place every year. One day is the corporate event and the other is the MBA aspirants event. It comprises of all sorts of management events and games. Various colleges from the state are also invited for the event.- Samanvay and Nostalgia are events for alumni's which occurs every year on alternate basis.- Pragati, is the biggest event which occurs on a mass scale. It also a 2 day event. One is rural pragati which attracts school kids to college going students. 2nd is the commercial pragati that involves industrial fair.- Ashwamedh- is the annual sports event that comprises of all indoor and outdoor games possible. Various colleges from the state are also invited for the event.

I opted for ECE because it gives a core knowledge in communication, tele communication, multiple computer languages in building up various tecnical equipments. It even provides you me with great accessibility to research and technology in the field of communication.

For placements and jobs my college has made a training and placement department which takes care of the students data needed for placements. Their have been approximately 75% placements in past year. The college brings in a lot of companies for placements and jobs.

College seniors are very helpful and they take up sessions to share any kind of their experience related to academics or extra curricular.They help you at the time of your placements with their recruitment experience.Also the college remains in touch with the alumni through an online portal and call them to share their industry experience and take technology related sessions in the vacations.

Gender Ratio is almost equal which is a very good part no inequalities of any sort. Campus life depends on you as to how you make it. IT Tech Fest which was one of the great events that happened in our college - It included competitions like Debate, LAN gaming of course, Programming, Painting , Dancing, Singing and various other games.The event attracted students of colleges across the city.

As I have CS branch & in this scenario students have craze to get CSE . In first year we are taught C language which our professor has made easy & interesting to learn. The college has hot 6 computer labs with a capacity of 40 students each & with updated hardware & softwares which are benefital for all students.

Yes my college provides internship & from my seniors & teachers I came to know that nearly. All the reputed companies come here. Microsoft, Google, Infosys, & many other MNCs have came here & the students having more than 7 cgpa are eligible to take part in them.

I took my coaching at Lakshya institute,Patiala. I secured AIR 9243 in IIT JEEAIR 4643 in JEE MAINS and 94.8% in 12th boards. I applied for Delhi Technical University,NSIT and PEC university. Later I discarded DTU and NSIT being too far from my home town. The counselling for PEC admissions was organised by Panjab university. In the first online round I opted Electrical engineering. The preference sequence was Electrical,Mechanical,Civil,Cse,Ece. I was the rank opener of Electrical branching PEC. But later I changed my mind and I changed my branch to Mechanical engineering in manual counselling round. Here I was 3rd in the class.And hence I could not get scholarship that was meant for the rank opener. Even today I repent on my decision for not taking CSE seeing the hefty packages of CSE students. So my advice to all the students is that don't listen to others. Just choose the branch of your own passion. And don't compromise the college for the sake of distance from your home. All that matters is the name of the college.

The course curriculum is far better than other colleges,but still miles behind that of the IITS. The thing is that the course curriculum is fine but neither the teachers are interested in teaching nor the students are interested in studying. From research point of view PEC is far behind the IITs. In the first year course is nearly same for all branches. In the first year the is one additional audit course in which there are three choices NCC,NSS,physical education. There are also some elective non technical courses like microeconomics,public administration,management,entrepreneurship,business administration,organizational behaviour etc. The total course consists of 200 credits and can be completed in atmost 6 years. There is also a provision of Honours degree. For that you need to get 50 credits in additional Honours exams.
