All India Management Association (AIMA) conducts MAT four times a year. The September 2026 session allows students to appear in three modes — PBT (Paper Based Test), CBT (Computer Based Test) and IBT (Internet Based Test). MAT September 2026 Registration Timeline and Deadline

MAT September 2026 registration opens simultaneously for all three modes on the AIMA portal. Each mode has its own closing date and missing it means waiting for the next session:

• PBT registration closes first, typically around the 3rd week of August 2026. Students must complete the application and payment before this date to receive the PBT admit card.
• CBT registration stays open a few days longer, through the 4th week of August 2026, giving students an extension window if they missed the PBT deadline.
• IBT registration is rolling. Students can book any available slot up to one day before that slot date. Multiple IBT dates can be booked in the same session, each at a separate fee.

Registering for both PBT and CBT together costs less than registering for each mode individually, offering a fee advantage for students who want two offline attempts in the same cycle.

MAT September 2026 Exam Schedule: PBT, CBT and IBT

All three MAT modes test the same five sections and carry equal validity for MBA admissions. The difference lies in format, venue and exam date:

The exam covers five sections: Language Comprehension, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Mathematical Skills and Indian and Global Environment. The composite percentile used by most MBA institutes is calculated from the first four sections. The Indian and Global Environment score appears separately on the score card and some institutes use it as an additional screening criterion.

MAT September 2026 Admit Card and Result Schedule

AIMA releases admit cards separately for each mode. PBT and CBT admit cards are available 3 to 4 days before the respective exam date. The IBT hall ticket appears 24 hours before each booked slot. Students can download the admit card from aima.in using their registration number and date of birth.

The admit card carries the student’s name, roll number, exam centre details (for PBT and CBT), exam date and reporting time. Students must carry a printed copy along with a valid government-issued photo ID on exam day.

MAT September 2026 result is expected in October 2026, approximately 2 to 3 weeks after the last exam date. The downloadable score card on aima.in shows section-wise scores and the composite percentile. It is valid for one year from the exam date and is accepted by over 600 MBA and PGDM institutes across India.

How to Apply for MAT September 2026

The MAT September 2026 application is entirely online at aima.in. Follow these steps to complete registration before the deadline:

1. Visit aima.in and navigate to the MAT September 2026 registration section.
2. Create a new account with a valid email ID and mobile number, or log in if you applied for a previous MAT session.
3. Fill in personal and academic details — name, date of birth, address, graduation marks and category.
4. Select your preferred mode — PBT, CBT, IBT or any combination. For IBT, choose the date and time slot from available options.
5. Upload a passport-size photograph and signature in JPEG format, within the size limits specified on the form.
6. Pay the application fee via debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI and save the payment confirmation.
7. Submit the application and download the registration confirmation slip for future reference.
