MAT Eligibility Criteria 2018- Candidates interested in appearing for MAT 2018 May session must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Candidates in the final year of their UG programs can also apply for the exam. There is no set bar for minimum aggregate percentage one must have in undergraduation course.  NRIs and foreign nationals can also apply for MAT 2018 May Exam.

MAT 2018 Registration for May session began on February 26. The last date to apply for the exam is May 02, 2018 (for PBT) and May 12, 2018 (for CBT). The application form is available on the official website www.aima.in for INR 1100 for online application.

Eligibility Criteria for MAT 2018

MAT Eligibility Criteria 2018- Qualifying Criteria

  • The basic eligibility to appear in MAT Exam is that a candidate must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized University.
  • Candidates in their final year of Graduation can also apply for MAT.
  • Prior work experience is not necessary. However, information about work experience may be asked during the application.
  • The minimum pass marks differ from one institute to another.

Formula for MAT Score Calculation

  • In case of grades / CGPA, it will be converted to an equivalent percentage on the basis of a procedure followed by various university/ establishment in accordance with the taking part control institute’s eligibility standards.
  • Mere fulfillment of minimum MAT eligibility criteria will not assure a candidate’s eligibility for shortlisting.

MAT Eligibility Criteria 2018- Age Criteria

  • There is no age limit for a candidate to appear for MAT 2018.

MAT Eligibility Criteria 2018- Number of Attempts

  • Candidates can appear in MAT as many times they want. There is no restriction on the number of attempts.
  • The online and offline tests for MAT are scheduled four times in a year. You may attend all the four examinations, if not satisfied with the scores.

MAT Registration 2018

Candidates can apply for admission by filling and submitting the complete application form along with important documents on or before the last date. MAT Registration 2018 will run from December 20, 2017- January 26, 2018. Here is how you can complete MAT February 2018:

Online mode: Candidates can obtain and submit the application form online through the official website i.e. aima.in. They must fill-in all the details and pay INR 1400 as application fee.

Offline mode: Students can also obtain the application form from the study centres of AIMA office, Delhi on cash payment of prescribed fees and fill the form manually.

After filling up the application form, candidates must follow the below steps:

  • Submit the printed application form along with all the documents and a DD/proof of online payment submission.
  • There is no need to send the registration form if candidates register and paid the fees online but candidates are advised to carry registration form for reference.
  • Printout of the online registration form can be sent at AIMA which will be processed within five working days.
  • Candidate’s seat will be cancelled if the printout of application form received after the due date.

Trending Questions on MAT Eligibility Criteria 2018

Q.1: Is there any age bar for MAT? Any Job experience required to appear in MAT?

A. There is no age bar on appearing for MAT. A candidate can appear as many times as he wishes to. Also, it is not necessary to have a job experience before applying for the exam.

Q.2: I have not done my graduation, but I am in the final year of a professional course. Can I apply for MAT 2018?

Ans: Yes, you can appear for MAT exam. But, you will be admitted on provisional basis. Make sure you have your graduation degree in hand before the final admission is granted.

Q.3: Can a candidate take MAT for practice, even though if he is not eligible to apply?

Ans. No, a candidate will not be allowed to take MAT without satisfying the eligibility criteria. Hence, he must make sure he satisfies all the conditions defined by AIMA.

Q.4: Am I eligible to apply for MAT 2018 if I hold a Bachelor’s Degree from Distance Learning?

Ans. Yes, you are allowed to apply. Provided, the university must be government approved.

Q.5: Am I eligible to apply for MBA/PGDM programmes after clearing MAT Exam?

Ans. Definitely! MAT is a gateway to nearly 600 B-Schools in India. Once you clear the exam, you may apply to any of these colleges for your choice of programme. In addition to this, you must attain the minimum MAT Cutoff for Colleges 2018.

Q.6: Am I eligible to appear for CAT & MAT in the same year?

Ans. Yes, you are allowed to do so. While CAT is conducted only once a year, you can appear for MAT all 4 times a year.
