MAT 2020 Application Form: IBT Mode Registration, Admit Card, Exam Dates, Process and Fees

    MAT 2020 Registration for May session was cancelled for PBT and CBT mode. Authorities have discontinued the application form due to increasing number of COVID-19 cases. AIMA introduced Internet Based Test (IBT), application process for IBT Mode has been closed. MAT 2020 September session dates are expected to release soon by the conducting body, application process will tentatively commence from last week of July 2020. Applicants who appeared for February session were able to login directly using their email id and password along with date of birth. Whereas fresh candidates had to register at the official website

    • AIMA had advised candidates unable to appear for IBT Mode to register for upcoming session of MAT for PBT and CBT mode. 
    • Candidates having bachelors degree in any stream from a recognised institute can apply for MAT 2020. Check Detailed Eligibility Criteria
    • Candidates can apply online by paying an application fee of INR 1650. Registration fee to apply for both PBT and CBT is INR 2750. Application fee for MAT IBT Mode is also INR 1650. As there are multiple exam slots available, last date for registration will differ fo each date. 
    • Candidates need to have a computer with internet connection to take the test. Aspirants can also register for IBT Mode Mock Test at a nominal fee on the official website.

    MAT scores are accepted by more than 600 management institutes across the country. Exam is held for a duration of 150 minutes and consists of 200 questions. Students are advised to go through MAT Exam Pattern for detailed information about the syllabus and types of questions asked in the exam.

    Documents Required for MAT 2020 Registration

    Before filling the application form, candidates are advised to keep the below-mentioned list of documents and details ready.

      Candidates who have not registered yet, need to follow the below-mentioned steps to enrol for MAT 2020.

      • Visit the official website of AIMA  and click on Fresh candidate (Click here) to Create Login.

      • Fill the details to create Login. You must have a valid Email ID for applying online.

      • Click on “Submit”. Be careful because the information filled cannot be changed after submitting.

      • You will receive a confirmation for registration on your email ID.

      • Remember your Email ID and DOB. It will be used as future login credentials.

        Tip: The biggest advantage of appearing in MAT is that you can choose 5 management institutes that accept MAT scores. The scores are later sent to these colleges without any additional fees. Moreover, candidates can now select additional 2 institutes, by paying ₹ 118 for each institute.

        How to Recover Password, if forgot?

        If you forget the password for MAT Registration, then follow the steps given below :

        • Click on forgot password on the MAT login window

        • Provide all details like email address, mobile number, DOB, etc for the identification of your application details

        • A link will be sent to your registered email ID, click on the link to recover your password.

        MAT IBT Mode Exam Introduced

        All India Management Assiociation has provided candidates with a option to appear for MAT as Internet Based Test. The decision is taken keeping in mind physical distancing and providing candidates with an opportunity to appear for the exam despite COVID-19 lockdown. 

        Candidates can appear for IBT mode exam from their homes provided they are equipped with computer and a internet connection with good bandwidth.

        Artificial intelligence will be used to  proctor the exam, the technique is proven and tested in several international exams as well. Action will be taken against candidates who defy the norms and can be disqualified from the exam. IBT mode in MAT will also be conducted for students enrolled in distance education management courses in AIMA.

        How to Apply for MAT IBT Mode?

        Application process for MAT Internet Based Test is the same as other two modes: online and offline. In case candidates have already applied for PBT or CBT mode, they have the option to switch to IBT mode  till June 18, 2020. Follow the steps to register: 

        • Visit the official website
        • Engter basic details to generate login credentials
        • Enter email id and passwork earlier created to login again
        • Select exam mode to appear as IBT
        • Uploadscanned photograph and signature image
        • Fill personal amd academic details
        • Complete the registration process by paying application fee of INR 1650
        • Reconfirm the details and click on Save option to submit the form.

        Note: In cased candidates have to switch from any othet mode to IBT, they need to revisit the portal, enter their credentials and make changes.

        Step 1 : Create Login Credentials

        • Once you receive the registration number, log in with the registered ID and complete the MAT Application form

        • Fill the asked details. Be careful because there is no application form correction window provided by MAT.

        • Save the details by clicking on “SAVE”

        • If you want to edit the information, you can do the same by logging in. After editing, make sure to click on “SAVE” again.

        Step 3 : Upload Images

        • Upload recent passport-sized photograph and signature

        • If you wear glasses make sure your eyes are clearly visible and there are no reflection

        • Photograph with caps, hats, dark glasses will not be considered. Religious headwear is allowed but it should not cover your face

        • Signature uploaded should be with black ink pen on white paper

        • Signature should be the same in the application form, written test and at the time of interview

        • Both photograph and signature should be in .jpg or .jpeg format, with the below-mentioned size :

        Step 4: Make Online Payment

        • Select your test center and do the payment of MAT 2020. The application fee will be paid through online mode only. You can choose from Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking or Paytm

        • The Registration fee for one exam is ₹ 1550 for one mode (PBT/CBT) and ₹ 2650 for both the exams

        • Once the payment is done application fee will not be refunded and the details in the application form will not be changed

        • Click on “View Application” to view the details and take a print out of the Application form for your records

        What Mistakes to Avoid While Filling MAT Application Form?

        • Spelling Errors: Do not make spelling errors in name and other details. Spellings should be exact same at mentioned in the documents.
        • Do check fee payment status when successfully submitted the application fee
        • Provide valid and functioning email id and contact information to any correspondence
        • Upload scanned documents in the specifications provided
        • As AIMA does not provide any window for form editing, avoid making any kind of mistake which can create further hinderance.

        Ques. I am a final year graduation student; am I eligible to apply for MAT 2020?

        Ans. Yes. Students in their final year of undergraduate course can also apply for MAT 2020. Though they need to provide complete passing documents at the time of applying in MAT participating institutes.

        Ques: Will i have to fill seperate form for MAT IBT Mode?

        Ans. Probably candidates have to fill seperate form to appear for MAT Internet Based Test. Candidateswho have still not registered for MAT can apply fresh. AIMA will shortly release details regarding the newly introduced IBT mode. 

        Ques. Do the reserved category candidates need to pay similar fees for MAT or is there any concession?

        Ans. There is no concession in fees for candidates belonging to reserved categories. As per the guidelines of All India Management Association (AIMA), students have to pay the same amount of Exam fee irrespective of the category they belong to.

        Ques. In which month does MAT exam take place?

        Ans. MAT is conducted four times a year suiting both the institutes and applicants. MAT exam months are February, May, September, and December. There is no limit on the number of times a candidate can appear for MAT Exam. There’s no age restriction and holding job experience is not necessary for MAT 2020.

        Ques. How many MIs participate in MAT? Is the number constant or keeps on changing?
