NMAT is a MBA entrance examination for admissions to NMIMS Mumbai and 36 other B-Schools. For 2020, the computer-based test is scheduled from October to December 2020. It has 3 sections namely- Language Skills, Quantitative Skills and Logical Reasoning. The time for each section of NMAT is fixed and the candidate can move on to the next section only after completing the previous section. Details about the three sections are given below:

  • Verbal section – 32 questions in 22 minutes
  • Quantitative Ability – 48 questions in 60 minutes
  • Logical Reasoning – 40 Questions in 38 minutes

    NMAT Exam Pattern

    Before starting to solve NMAT 2018 sample papers, candidates must be familiar with NMAT Exam Pattern. It provides the information of structure of entrance test. Highlights of the examination pattern is as follows:

    • Mode of exam: NMAT by GMAC is held in online mode.
    • Duration of exam: Maximum time allowed to attempt the question paper is 2 hours.
    • Type of questions: The exam has only multiple-choice questions.
    • Sections: The paper has 3 sections- Language Skills, Quantitative Skills and Logical Skills.
    • Total Questions: 120 questions are asked in the paper.
    • NMAT Total Marks: Maximum marks obtained by a candidate are 360. 
    • Language of Paper: The paper is set in English language.
    • Marking scheme: 3 marks are awarded for a correct response. There is no negative marking.
