The transformer ratio in a step-up transformer is greater than 1.
In a step-up transformer, the number of turns in the secondary winding is greater than the number of turns in the primary winding. This means that the voltage in the secondary winding is higher than the voltage in the primary winding.
The ratio of the number of turns in the secondary winding to the number of turns in the primary winding determines the voltage transformation ratio of the transformer.
For example, if a transformer has a turns ratio of 1:10, this means that there are 10 turns in the secondary winding for every 1 turn in the primary winding, resulting in a voltage transformation ratio of 10:1. As a result, a low voltage applied to the primary winding will be transformed into a higher voltage on the secondary winding.

We know that the transformer ratio is given by, k = NS/NP = ES/EP
For a step-up transformer, ES>EP
So, k > 1
The transformer ratio in the step-up transformer is greater than 1.
