The campus was really small, and due to the strict discipline enforced by the authorities, there wasn't much 'campus life' to write home about. The gender ratio wasn't that great either, with only about 25% of the population being females. As you would expect with any college in Kolkata, Bengalis made up the bulk of the population, and most of the remaining population was from the neighbouring state of Bihar. In terms of religious diversity, there were people from most of the major religions (Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Sikhs), but Hindus constituted about 95% of the total population. There was also a fair amount of diversity in the economic background of the students, with there being roughly a Normal distribution over family income. Overall, it was a pretty cosmopolitan environment with students of various ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, and political beliefs co-existing in perfect harmony. Extracurricular activities were pretty limited to be honest (though I've heard they've picked up in recent times), and sports opportunities were almost non-existent. However, the college did have a very vibrant robotics club, and a highly active community of competitive coders (of which I myself was a part of), who regularly used to win several accolades for IEM at national level techfests all across India. A large number of workshops on robotics used to be organized throughout the year. During my time as a student, a drive was launched to get the students interested in entrepreneurial activities, and such activities have grown tremendously over the last few years. Finally, one event we really looked forward to were the movie screenings in the college auditorium, which used to happen about twice a month.

As with all the other private engineering colleges in the state of West Bengal, IEM is affiliated to the West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT), and hence follows the the course curriculum designed by them. According to this curriculum, the papers in the first year are common to all the different engineering streams, and then specialization takes place from second year onwards. The typical course load is around 5-7 papers per semester, with there being usually 3-4 theory papers and 2-3 lab papers. While most of the course structure is rigid, the student does get to choose one elective paper each during their seventh and eighth semesters. In addition, the student is also expected to complete an industrial internship during the summer break at the end of the third year. Moreover, every student is required to submit a dissertation based on a research project in his/her final year. Overall, the curriculum is relatively well-designed, though it lacks flexibility.

My college faculty was very supportive and very help full to achieve our goal like where is problem to get easy notes and also they advised with so many things to get good scores in the course.

No, my college was not provided any internship for all students, they were providing internship only for those students which were related with mass communication.

The college is best in celebrating and conducting inter college festivals to help students to mingle with the inter college students too. They are many events which are conducted in year. 1. Department Freshers Welcome Party (Each Dept. Conducts independently) college Festival departmental Club ( Ex: EC Club by Electronics Branch) who will regularly organize and conduct cultural and sports events. Other events ( Concert, Talk by Global leaders, Inter college gaming events and many events Television events will happen in Auditorium and students can help themselves to get into the events) really the best campus life which i ever seen.

The Placement and Job Opportunities are good during course and even the post completion of the course. I think still Venkatesh is placement coordinator and he is helping students to get into best industries during their completion of course. The best companies are coming for the campus recruitment and most of the students with 60+ % are getting placements on campus. I suggest them to help the students who are 50+ % result in academics by giving them a special industrial training to get the jobs in the market to hold up the college reputation every year.

There will be three internal semester wise there will be small via tests at the end of each practical class. You need to submit the record and assignment within time. That marks will added to the end semester result. College will provide the marks per subject 30 marks. End of each semester there will be a grand viva out of 10 you have to score at least 9 or 8 to get top grade. And the semester exam question paper will be provided by BPUT bit tough question but previous year sample question paper with answers are available in market, You have chance of getting 50% marks through that.

This one is the best thing in the college. Tech fest and freshers welcome party. farewell, annual function, independence day are being celebrated grandly. Techfest is the best one. people from different college are being invited. There will be tough competition among the students. I have always seen students here may be bad in studies but better in other fields. Dance, singing, skit, speech, robotics etc.

60:40 male:female, had good labs, sports facilities, forum for extra curricular activities politics wasn't encouraged inside the college, no student Union however students interest were respected . Given importance to all caste and community. Strictly against ragging.

Talked to principal, enquired about facilities and availability, meet officials and took up form and fill in details, paid the fee in office and select the branch. Took a guide across campus and formal introduction to my branch staff. Got details about joining date.

The campus life at THAKUR COLLEGE OF SCIENCE AND COMMERCE is great the gender ratios is also quite good and very friendly towards nature to each other and there are extracurricular activities perform as events are there by their own departments science student have "ORIGIN" As they make some sought of practical things which is very good like clap switch, telescope, robots, laser show, mirror effect , and talking about the sports there is an annual event where cricket,football matches are there between the departments. Overall campus is Awesome.

There are lots of events in the college the festival which is done by MANAGEMENT Students and even the college annual fest TRISHNA which is great and later with the DJ night and Tech Fest done by the IT DEPARTMENT ,FOOD FESTIVAL by the students in which if you participate you get extra 10 marks on submitting the article to the university of mumbai and in the last year you get even extra marks added to your low score subject overall you can enjoy every month of the college with events.

It was good internal assessment then external assessment after that theory exam in each stem with practicals ..as well it was good but I didn't get placement due to my English language accent I guess i have not given much thought as my dream is to get into civil services so I am preparing for it my friends and even juniors are placed in good it companies but not in core companies and I am not good in coding that's the main reason.

Combined engineering entrance test CET IPU In the year 2009. I have been called for counselling on 30 sep I guess in the morning 9.00 am but that day whole night counselling procedure is done by the counselor and I got my seat next day in the morning 11 am full of excitement others and I were waited there whole night it was a dream come true for me.

The fee structure is feasible and depends on the students' family income. Students from poor families are given scholarships based on both merit and means. However, IIT had raised the fees quite a bit in the last few years. Even if the student fails to receive any scholarship, there are several banks on IIT campus that are willing to support the students by providing education loans.

There are several nationalized banks that have education loan programs for IIT students. Overall, arranging for finance to complete the education is not very difficult.

There is an option to pay fees in installments or in one lump-sum. Annual expenditure, on all inclusive basis comes to well under Rs. 1.00 lakh per annum for day scholars. For boarders boarding and lodging expenditures are separate and for day boarders commuting expenditures are quite separate. It can be safely concluded that any student or parent may not have to cross the mark of Rs.1.50 lakh per annum in this course.

There is a well equipped lab for computers in the campus and many internal and external lab based examinations are held in such labs. labs are also used widely for practicing learning from classroom. Semester wise internal and external examinations are held. Internals are practice examinations followed by external examinations and lab based practicals which count towards final scores and standings.

The College has a very active placement cell the objective of Placement Cell is to provide employment opportunities to students along with guidance, mentor-ship, and necessary skills to increase the employ-ability of the students. The cell not only caters to third year students but to first year and second year students also by providing internship opportunities to them. Many companies visit here like Clairvolex Knowledge Processes Ltd., an Intellectual Property firm, ICICI, KPMG Global Sevices Pvt. Ltd, Concentrix and Indigo Airlines and many more.

I am doing B.Sc Physical Science with Computer science and i guess it's like Jack of all getting all knowledge, like of every subject currently in my semester i am studying EVS which deals with environmental studies, Physics (Mechanics), Mathematics, and computer Science (Python) and next year we would study English and some other new stuffs i feel it is like gathering knowledge from every subject.

Faculties are directly recruited by the principal and the adviser of the institution lecturers should have a minimum qualification of a master degree from a well known institution and for assistant professors must be doing their doctorate. professors and hod must be a doctorate other than this each faculty is good in communication and practical knowledge which makes their standard above others.

Gender ratio is like 1:1 equality is maintained for all students strict discipline is maintained by the management and faculty which makes our collage unique of its kind it has a standard protocols which is to be maintained inside and outside the campus discipline and knowledge both are taught to students by a team of faculty and management who are the best example for that.

As it is same all over India in most of the engineering colleges, our campus life was good But the gender ratio is very poor as the no. Of boys always outnumbered the no. Of girls still girls were a better performer atleast academically. The college had drawn student's from almost all areas of India mostly bihar and west bengal to name a few. But still it was poor when it came to labs and all other extracurricular activities.

Very poor Campusing. It had TCS , the only mass recruiter of UITians. Until 2016.and for outgoing batch of 2017 it is said that the college won't be able to provide any more campusing drives.I feel pity for the management for failing to provide better placement opportunities to its students. And also the present TPO is the worst i have seen.as per my views are concerned

Yearly take a final examination. There are 20 papers in two year. Each paper 50 marks. In between each paper of 50 marks 10 marks for internal. In 10 marks 2 marks for attendance and other 8 marks for (4×2) MCQ basis question. Before final examination they took the internal examination per yearly 80 marks. 400 marks are taken in final examination. Per yearly system is (40×10) for final+ (2×10) for attendance + (2×40) for MCQ.

We celebrate departmental freshers, university freshers, saraswati pujo, CALIESTA program as an annual program. University organised too many cultural program for their students that students can come forward and participate and show their talent. University celebrated Independence Day, Republic Day, Birthday of Rabindra Nath Tagore, Birthday of Netaji and many more.

It is good i mean, the course structure was decent and simple. But there are no good coaching here. Student have to study a lot with there own effort, structure was good enough to learn all engineering concepts. There are lot of people there who are guiding the students to good way, and it is not a problem with the faculty.

There is lot of BPO placements actually by now you should understand the placement doesn't exist here. Many off campus driven for the students because there are lot of good faculty there. There is no on campus for engineers. And there is no job opportunity here,something should be done by management side of course.

0 placements and opportunities are there in UIET Kanpur.I want to see that no students should not waste their parents money.I never saw any company visiting here ever in UIET Kanpur.Our batchmates, juniors or seniors 80% were placed through AMCAT. Elitmus and pool campus.I myself was one of them.Don't waste your parents money by joining UIET Kanpur. No companies visit over here.0% is the placement over here.Its a hell and waste of money UIET Kanpur.

1 Poor management exists in UIET Kanpur.2 Dr Brijendra Pratap Singh professor of Chemistry asked us that why did we came over here.No placements take place in UIET Kanpur.CSE and ECE faculty is very bad barring some professors.3 Dr BP Singh used to talk in a rude language in Chemistry classes 1st year.Good remarks is that Academics here is good.IIT text books are followed in UIET Kanpur.

Campus Life: Brilliant, vibrant, beautiful Extra-Curricular Activities: a whole lot and just awesome Events: Right from cultural to technical to fun you get to taste everything Students: From all parts of the country and some abroad students as well. Half of them are dudes or wanna be dudes Hostels: I think has the best hostels, clean, spacious. I stayed in H & J Block for 4 years so I can say they are just superb. Wardens are friendly. Mess are messed up anyways. Sports: Lot of sports opportunity like Tennis, Cricket, Badminton, TT, Football, Track events, Basketball, etc. Although I never played them and I regret now.

The notification came in October and I filled the form online. 15 days before exam I received the ID card for written examination and appeared for it on 30 Nov. After clearing the written, I got letter for GD/PI, which were conducted at the college campus itself. At the day of GD/PI, first we were called in the auditorium and seniors and few faculties introduced themselves and detailed about the kind of courses and various cells like marketing, HR, Entrepreneurship etc. Then we were took on the campus tour and familiarized us with academic block, canteen, Gym, swimming pool, guest house, hostel etc. Then came turn for GD, after this 2 PIs were conducted. And we were given refreshment and thats how it culminated. After 3 months the results were announced. I also got a call and mail from them about my selection and I were told to deposit the first installment in 3 days and to give your joining within the first week of June.

For every concern department one event is organised every year. The participation comes from every big college of India. IIMs, XLRI, FMS, MDI etc. The prize amount varies from 5000 to 50000. Yes 50000. there is one enterprenuer event which is designed by the industrialist experts and very imminent industry hotshots come down as panel member. Apart from this we have our own band, which has represented the college at various fests and also on TV as well. Then we have our sports club. Every year we win big prizes in the university sports meet. We are regular winners over there.

Events like fests, cultural programme, annual day celebration conducted inside the college campus or i may call the university not only the students but people from outside also have the allowance to attend some of the events there are also many fund raising events organised by the various non technical clubs that we have in our college technical fests are also held in the institute twice an year.

Regarding the placements the institute offers nice job opportunities to the deserving students. companies like tcl, maruti suzuki etc come for the campus selection students here also have an advantage of going for on campus or off campus selections generally companies recruit students in the 7th semester again being a first year student this is all i know.

Exam structure is unique and helpful to outsource the young talents. Our college also exams the talent in individual through various types of ways. An individual can learn a lot through exams conducted by our college. They are very much use full they are very good at rules they follow and very strict if they break the rules.

Placements is good as it is being one of the top universities. Top companies show an immense interest in recruiting students of our college. Since we are unique from other students through various types of cultural activities done in our college. They are good at teaching and staffing the students in merit list.

Exam Structure was very hectic. In One semester conduct 3 monthly test and one full course test. In 3 of test mandatory to attend at least 2 exam.So student become bore with examination.But these test was beneficial for main examination if you attend all these test so it become easy to score in your semester exam.

In college many festival celebrated like Janamastmi, Independence day, Mahashivartri and other cultural events dance,singing,play etc. Students participate in all events and do hard work and give awesome performace. After the events there are many prizes for students according to his performance.
