Course in UPTU was very vast. There were some interesting subjects but most of them were outdated subjects. Management subject was also there, which helps to understand the industry work culture.

The fee structure is average. Neither too expensive nor less. It is a little bit on a higher side like approximately Rs.1.5 lakhs per semester. But the quality of education and library are very good which is an add on benefit and the comfort level provided to the students within the college proves that the fee is worth.
The college has 90 percent girls and 10 percent boys. Students from all over the country come to study here. People from all kinds of backgrounds come to study here starting from middle income groups to very high income groups. The college needs to pay a little more attention to clubs, societies and extra curriculars.

There was equal number of male and female students in the class when I studied. Mostly, female candidate will be more in number as they are the studious in getting the government institution. Also, there will be lot of competition among the student which will encourage each and every one to contribute their best. As already said, there will be weightage for extracurricular activities and inter level sports.
Like curriculum in other colleges of Tamulnadu, the syllabus of Electronics and communication engineering .Which I acquired is also student centric. Started from the basics of all engineering stream in first sem, till 5th semester, courses will ladder up towards stream and electives will be available for selection in last three semesters. Overall, if you study by yourself, this is a perfect college.

In my collage curriculum they merely had a theory classes our teachers beilive in Practical what would be needed for our study. There is also a theory basd classes in a waek twice there is one quiz comptition every month. Which was very intresting we had very useful assignments like interview, photgraphy, Radio programme ,Newspaper making, i also have very godd memory from our rishikesh tour its very importent part of our curriculam.
The college internship experience was too good . I learned various things from my internship and it was so important for me for my future and if i can describe in one line. I got the Jobn in same company where i was intern on my college days , usually in media interns dont get stipend.
The course curriculum is as prescribed. The course is divided as per syllabus completion and exam schedule. The first year had subjects which were common for all the students belonging to ant field. From second year onwards the syllabus was divided based on the stream.
Our college generally doesn't provide internships. Though stuudents can apply for out campus internships and after that request the training and placement department to receive an NOC for the internship.

General stipend offered is max. Rs. 5000. And internship programme is based to learn not earn wrp to my college. Internship programms are not that effective as very few counting on fingers company approaches to college and many of students regret .As college does not allow attendance. Hence internsgip programme is not much effective.
Faculty can be rated upto 4 stars out of 5. As every faculty member is post graduate and some have managed to be doctorate PHD hence no doubt of qualification. Every teacher is effective to talk with student and are capable of explaining every doubt and respect to course they all are guide in their field.
There are various scholarships XLRI keeps floating on a regular basis. One of my batchmates got a scholarship of 2 lacs from the institute (for his exemplary overall performance and not-so-good financial condition).
Campus life in XL the best one can imagine and I believe this is the way life at colleges should be. Gender ratio in our batch was 1:10.Sports and other facilities at campus were world class.

I have attended the entrance test for the above course. I found the B.Sc(Ag) course to be highly challenging to develop technological interventions for increasing productivity of crops in Kerala. The test was very impressing since I had made some preparations and I could succeed to score good score( third rank, don't remember the score) in it. No interview was there. The B.Sc (Ag) course was offered in Kerala only in the College of Agriculture, Vellayani, Thiruvananthapuram,Kerala
The entire faculty was very much helpful in imparting knowledge and sharing their experiences, as well as clearing the doubts, if any. They were well versed in their field of specialization and up to date. However, some of them were very strict in the class and even conducted unannounced tests in the middle of the lecture class. Since I was a studious student, I did not feel any difficulty and finally could get second rank in the B.Sc (Ag) programme.

Computer Science is description of the programs and its requirements can be obtained from this department. The required computer courses are nine(9). Each subject there is 3 credits and the total is 27,but we have minimum 18 credits.
