Admission to the BSc MLT course is usually entrance based but some colleges and universities grant direct admission for this course. The marks obtained in the qualifying examinations are considered for the purpose of offering admission to the students.

Merit based

  • After successfully applying for admission to the respective colleges, candidates will be asked to appear for the selection processes as defined by each individual college.

Hi Prem, below is the difference between both of the above mentioned courses:

  • Medical Lab Technician: Students take courses in areas such as blood banking, clinical chemistry, hematology, and microbiology. Students may also learn about equipment and technology, safety standards and diagnostic testing.
  • Medical Lab Scientist: This program covers many of the same courses as an associate degree, but includes courses like anatomy, biochemistry, chemistry, immunology and math. Laboratory experiences are often required in the senior year of a bachelor’s level program. Often, these experiences are done under the mentorship of an MLS in a real-life lab setting.
