What is balance point in potentiometer?

In the potentiometer, the balancing point is the point on the slide wire where the galvanometer display zero deflection.
  • The balance point is identified to determine the unknown EMF of the cell.
  • In a potentiometer the balance point is determined when the potential difference between positive end to the jockey is equal to the EMF of experimental cell.
