Centennial College Admission Requirements for Indian Applicants 2027

Requirements vary by programme level, with graduate certificates demanding a completed bachelor’s degree and diplomas keyed to Class 12 outcomes.

  • Post-secondary diploma or advanced diploma: Class XII pass with around 65% overall, plus any required Class XII subjects.
  • Bachelor’s degree (four-year honours): Class XII with roughly 70%, six academic subjects, and program-specific prerequisites at Class XII level.
  • Graduate certificate (one to two years): completed Bachelor’s degree or three-year diploma. A two-year diploma with two years of related work experience is a discretionary pathway.
  • IELTS: 6.0-6.5 for Diploma, Advanced Diploma, and Degree/PG Certificate.
  • TOEFL iBT: 67-81
  • PTE Academic: 51-60+

Note: IELTS waivers apply when Indian applicants completed Class 12 CBSE or ICSE with 70% or higher in English. The waiver is confirmed only after the International Admissions Office reviews the mark sheet.

Centennial College Acceptance Rate 2027

The estimated Centennial College acceptance rate sits at 65% to 67% (estimated) for international applicants who meet the published minimums. Centennial does not publish an official annual rate, so this range is derived from Ontario public college applicant volumes and Centennial’s own seat capacity.

Acceptance for high-demand programmes such as Nursing, Aviation, and Cybersecurity is significantly lower and skews toward applicants with 70%-plus academic profiles. Rolling admissions mean early applicants have a materially better chance than those who apply near the recommended cut-off.

Reality check: A 65% headline rate does not mean automatic admission for Indian students. Programme seats fill quickly, and applicants who complete the file with WES evaluation and IELTS scores in one submission secure decisions fastest.

Centennial College Placements and Career Outcomes 2027

As per the Ontario KPI Graduate Outcome Employment Survey, Centennial College reports a graduate employment rate of 77.5% within six months of programme completion. Career support runs through the on-campus HIRE Centennial hub, which coordinates co-op placements and employer connected.

  • Graduate employment within six months: 77.5%
  • Employer satisfaction rate: 88%
  • Median starting salary: CAD 55,000 to CAD 70,000 per year (INR 34.38 to 43.75 lakh) (market median)
  • Representative recruiters: TD Bank, RBC, CIBC, BMO, Amazon, Air Canada, Metrolinx, IBM, Microsoft, Sun Life
  • Post-study work rights: Post-Graduation Work Permit up to three years for eligible diploma, degree, and graduate certificate graduates

Indian graduates place strongly in banking, IT services, hospitality, and logistics roles across the Greater Toronto Area. Detailed programme-level outcomes are catalogued on the Centennial College placements page.

Insider note: The best-recruited Indian graduates come from Business Analytics, Cybersecurity, and Project Management post-graduate certificates. Aerospace and Nursing graduates convert quickly into permanent residence pathways under Ontario provincial nomination streams.

Centennial College fits Indian students seeking a Toronto-based post-graduate certificate or diploma under CAD 20,000 (INR 12.5 lakh) in tuition, with a clear three-year Post-Graduation Work Permit runway. The CAD 55,000 (INR 34.38 lakh) average starting salary against roughly two years of investment gives a strong return for business, IT, and health support careers. Indian applicants aiming at Ontario provincial nomination and permanent residence get a reasonable pathway.

Centennial is not the right pick for research-focused master’s aspirants or students targeting global-brand consulting roles. Applicants chasing a QS-ranked institution should compare universities in Toronto such as Toronto Metropolitan University alongside diploma universities in Canada before deciding.

Centennial College FAQs

Ques. Can Indian students work part-time while studying at Centennial College?

Ans. Yes. A valid study permit at Centennial College automatically permits Indian students to work up to 24 hours per week off-campus during academic sessions. On-campus work carries no hour cap. Full-time work is allowed during scheduled breaks such as winter and summer holidays. Students must confirm active enrolment status before starting any paid position.

Ques. How do international applicants qualify for an IELTS waiver at Centennial College?

Ans. Centennial College waives IELTS when applicants show four years of full-time secondary or post-secondary study in an English-medium school. Class 12 CBSE or ICSE students who scored 70% or higher in English also qualify. Applicants who complete Centennial’s English for Academic Purposes bridging programme satisfy the requirement. Waivers are confirmed only after the International Admissions Office reviews transcripts.

Ques. Does Centennial College offer co-op work terms to Indian students?

Ans. Yes. Many diploma, degree, and graduate certificate programmes at Centennial College embed paid co-op or field placement terms. The annual premium is roughly CAD 720 (INR 45,000) and is added to the tuition invoice. Coverage begins on the programme start date and mirrors basic Ontario Health Insurance Plan benefits. Students may not opt out of Guard.me during the first term of study.

Overview

I chose this college as it has a good name and power, and Centennial is one of the first community colleges in Ontario.

Overview

No I have not submitted any of the mentioned documents. Centennial College's well-qualified and experienced teachers, great laboratory facilities, exceptional Co-operative Education programs, and the inspiration provided to students will provide me with an appropriate foundation for achieving my goals.

We’ve got a lot of facilities. The wifi runs smooth, we’ve got a game room for chilling, a library with a wide variety of books, and so much more.

Overview

No didn’t have to submit anything just my bachelors results were submitted. Reason for choosing this college: The program of my choosing and allowing to come ASAP they also had prompt replies. I would say its okay but would suggest some other cllg that has better placement options and less fees. I would also recommend going for university or to a RNIP program if you want your PR. They are more focused on extracurricular activities than on studies and so its okay if you don’t have other options but this should probably be your second choice

A lot of extra curricular activities, library wifi and sport facilities are there for free of course. Lost of clubs and events happening all the time

Overview

My experience at college was multifaceted and rewarding. The educational environment offered a blend of theoretical learning and practical exposure through labs and industrial tours, fostering holistic growth. Despite the pandemic's impact, the available facilities like the library, gym, and engaging student programs contributed significantly to my overall development, making it a memorable phase.

There were common student areas equipped with games that facilitated interaction among students. Additionally, there were occasional programs held during celebrations, such as quizzes or other events. Other facilities, such as the library, gym, indoor basketball court, table tennis area, canteen, free WiFi, public computers, and printers, were also available.

Overview

It was just fine I believe mostly due to work pressure and shortage of jobs in the market although it is part time so better work that out and college was ok.

Gym and library is the one which is there and included in fees there were few events but struggling between studies and jobs you hardly get any time to attend.

My overall experience so far has been very well. It is your own responsibility to exploit all the resources available at your disposal for your academic and professional success. You have to reach out yourself to make connections which is the most vital part of your success in Canada.

Overview

My experience is really wonderful because it has a great infrastructure with all the basic things you may need with all the hygiene and cleanliness and the campus is really good with a really nice marketplace to have lunch and enjoy time with friends.

There is a gym with different rooms for different sports and gym has almost all the equipment anyone can expect and the wifi is all over the college with a tremendous speed.

Overview

I would say a complete wastage of money and resources if you want to build a career out of one course. These courses can be helpful if you have extra money to learn something just for the sake of obtaining knowledge( that too by doing assignments) or getting a post graduation work permit.

I studied there during Covid so I didn’t have any experience of campus.

Ques. Is Seneca College better than Centennial?

● Top Answer By Nitin Agarwal on 03 May 26

Ans. Seneca College vs Centennial College (both in Toronto area, Canada) — comparing for Indian students: Seneca College: large GTA (Greater Toronto Area) institution with multiple campuses. particularly strong in business, technology, and aviation programs. good co-op and placement record. Newnham campus is the main one. well-regarded for aviation management uniquely. Centennial College: strong for engineering technology, hospitality, health sciences, and community services. East Toronto/Scarborough campuses. slightly smaller profile than Seneca nationally. good for engineering technician programs. comparison: for most tech/business programs, Seneca has a slightly stronger reputation and larger industry network. for engineering technology and health programs, both are comparable. location-wise, both are in the GTA which is excellent for post-study employment. fees are similar for international students. choice depends on your specific program. research the program rankings for your field specifically at each institution rather than just overall college ranking. both are genuine, quality Canadian colleges with strong post-graduation work permit eligibility.Read more

Ques. Which is the best college to study graphic design, Seneca, Centennial, Humber, or George Brown??

● Top Answer By Siddharth Singh on 08 Feb 24

Ans. My friend is a graphic designer. He completed his studies in Graphic Designing from Toronto itself. According to him, Sheridan College in Oakville is the best choice for graphic designing courses, followed by George Brown College. Centennial has a dedicated school for this subject.  Seneca and GBC offer graphic designing lectures on PC, while Centennial uses MAC for learning purposes. MAC is more popular among graphic designers because it offers a smoother experience for many design softwares. Even if such softwares have a PC version, they require less keystrokes/steps to complete a task on MAC.Read more

Ques. Which is the best college to apply for a one-year construction management course in Canada, George Brown, Centennial, or Fanshawe? Do all three offer internships?

● Top Answer By Palak Goyal on 08 Feb 24

Ans. My brother is currently pursuing the Construction Engineering Technician (T161) course from George Brown College. It is a two year course, and an extra year places it into an advanced diploma (T105).  George Brown offers plenty of job opportunities from a variety of construction companies across Canada. The college regularly holds a job fair in which prominent companies like Bird Construction, Aecon, EllisDon, PCL, etc. take part. A large number of alumni from our college work at one or the other of these reputed companies.  All the three colleges offer internships, but according to my brother, George Brown is a better option for the construction management program.Read more
