Hydrogen is an element with the simplest structure of atoms. It is placed at the first position in the periodic table. Since some of its characters included resemble halogens while some with alkali metals, therefore its position in the periodic table has always been confusing. It is never seen to exist in the free state, it is always combined with some other molecule. Due to such unique traits, it is placed separately. H2 is the diatomic molecule which is an elemental form of hydrogen, which turns out to be approximately 70% of the total universe mass. It exists in three isotopes .i.e protium, deuterium, and tritium.
