Ques. Is the IISER aptitude test as difficult as the JEE Advanced?

● Top Answer By Amit Kakani on 25 Jan 21

Ans. IISER Aptitude Test is more like JEE Main. It is easier than JEE Advance. There are four sections in the exam, and all have equal weightage. Mentioned below are the details for the same: Biology: This section might sound a tough nut to crack for the PCM students, but a reasonable understanding of class 11th and 12th NCERT concepts can help you sail through this section.  If you are not familiar with Biology, try to ace the Maths section. As the number of test-takers has grown over the years, this section has also seen a surged difficulty level. Maths: For the Biology students, it might be hard to crack.  You need to focus on 11th and 12th class concepts. You can search for the doable questions and solve them.  The level is usually at par or even above JEE Mains.  The biology students can cover the scores in their specialized section. Physics and Chemistry: This section is usually easier than the above two sections. The scores obtained here can make-or-break your chances for counselling.  The questions in these two sections cover the fundamental and essential concepts.  It is better to score well in these two sections.  The sections are not really tough. They are far away from the difficulty level of JEE Advance. Overall, the exam is far from the JEE Advanced level. The Biology students have the advantage to finish their section quicker. Make sure your fundamentals are clear and your reasoning ability is good. This should be enough to secure a good score.Read more

Ques. Is BITSAT easier than IIT JEE/Advanced?

● Top Answer By Sayantika Sen on 16 Jan 21

Ans. Yes, BITSAT is easier than IIT JEE/Advanced. Although the preparation method and intensity of both of these exams are quite similar. However, the exam procedures make these two different. A brief overview of both of these exams has been given in the following section, which may help understand the process of IIT JEE/ Advanced and BITSAT. IIT JEE/Advanced: It is the gateway to the prestigious educational institutions that are IITs, of our country. So, it is quite obvious that the papers will be tough. BITSAT: It is the entrance examination for BITS.  The difficulty level for the question in BITSAT is around 50-70% as compared to IIT JEE Advanced. Even less for English and IQ test questions.  However, this exam's cut-off marks are quite high. So, you should try to attempt as many questions as possible. In JEE Advanced you do not need to attempt all the questions. But even after attempting 140 questions out of 162 in BITSAT, you still may not score the required cutoff.  So, in terms of difficulty, JEE Advanced is definitely tougher than BITSAT. But you will need a similar mental preparation for both examinations.Read more
