    The GMAT exam is a success predictor in management programs globally. The GMAT exam has certain diversified papers to work on and the syllabus comprises of verbal, quant, integrated reasoning and analytical writing assessment. Students who appear for the exam and secure good scores are benefitted in many ways. Any candidate can appear for the GMAT exam 8 times in his/her lifetime. The limit of appearing for the exam is set at a maximum of 5 times in a year, and the minimum gap between the two GMAT exams is 16 days. 

    GMAT Scheduling and Rescheduling process can be done online, on phone or via mail. Students who wish to take the test must visit the official website to check the details. The payment of fees can be done in online and offline mode. The GMAT appointment can be obtained in $250 dollars, while the rescheduling of the exam will be based on a 3-tier system as established by the GMAC.

    Scheduling GMAT Exam

    The GMAT exam is conducted throughout the year. To schedule an exam, candidates must keep some things in mind before-hand. 

    Collect information

    When scheduling the GMAT exam, candidates must figure out the application dates of the course and university they are interested to enroll in. Accordingly, they must figure out the testing facilities in case of disabilities at the exam centre. They should also make a list of exam centers near them. 

    Form a timeline

    One of the most important things to do at the time of scheduling the GMAT exam is to form a detailed timeline. This must include the time required for exam preparation, and time is taken to send the application across if you are applying via offline mode. 

    Take appointment

    Once, you have figured out the whole timeline, visit the official website to get an appointment for the GMAT exam. 

    The GMAT exam can be scheduled via:

    1. Online mode
    2. Phone
    3. Offline mode

    Note: Check back the official website to keep a track of the availability of slots, just in case you want to reschedule your exam.

    How to Schedule GMAT Exams?

    To schedule their GMAT exams, candidates have to follow the steps mentioned below:

    1. Go to the official website of GMAT
    2. Login with ID and password if you are an existing member, or else, register on the platform and obtain an ID and a password.
    3. Enter personal information, profile details, including education and work experience, preferred location to pursue higher education, preferred test location, and choose a date of exam.
    4. Finally, make the GMAT fee payment of $250

    Candidates can also schedule their exam via phone registration or via mail. To schedule the GMAT exam via phone, contact the GMAT Customer Care Services and pay an additional fee of $10 along with the registration fee. For those who wish to fill it offline must grab the form from the nearest Pearson VUE center. Send the fee via money order via demand draft at least 10 days before the exam is scheduled. 

    Rescheduling GMAT Exam

    The Graduate Management Admission Council gives an option to reschedule the GMAT exam if need be. The reschedule fee for GMAT exam is based on the 3-tier system - 

    • If candidates reschedule their exam 60 days prior to the exam, they will have to pay $50.
    • If the rescheduling takes place 15- 60 days prior to the schedule, a $100 fee will be charged.
    • In case candidates want to reschedule the exam within 14 days of the exam, they will have to pay a $150.

    Should you reschedule your GMAT exam?

    The GMAT exam can be rescheduled, however, it is advisable to not seek this option for trivial reasons. Usually, students reschedule their GMAT exam out of exam fright, but this is not advisable. To avoid this situation, students must choose the schedule as per a timeline that perfectly fits the preparation time, application dates of the university they wish to get through, and their convenience. 

    Although there is no limit to rescheduling the GMAT exam, the aspirants must seek this option in unavoidable circumstances such as personal emergency or health crisis, etc. 

    How to Reschedule GMAT Exam

    Just as scheduling the exam, candidates can reschedule their GMAT exam via 3 modes - Online, via Phone, Offline. Here is how you can reschedule the GMAT exam.

    Online Rescheduling of the GMAT exam

    To reschedule the GMAT exam via online mode, the following steps must be followed:

    1. Login to your account of the official website - www.mba.com with the User ID and Password.
    2. In the ‘My Account’ section, navigate to the ‘exams’ section and reschedule the existing GMAT appointment.
    3. After clicking on ‘reschedule’ go to the options given- ‘change test center,’ choose from the available options if you want to change your test center.
    4. Once done, select the new appointment date and review all the details. 
    5. Click on the ‘Complete Reschedule’ button after review.
    6. Confirm the personal information and agree to the policies. 
    7. Finally, pay the rescheduling fee.
