MHT CET 2020 Registration, Form Correction, Fee and Procedure

    The Registration window had been reopened on May 26, 2020 for the candidates who missed out the opportunity to register themselves for MHT CET 2020. Candidates could fill the application form and complete the registration process by paying the fee till June 1, 2020. Candidates also need to update the HSC Board details in the application form by logging into their accounts by June 07, 2020. State CET cell Mumbai, allowed all the registered candidates to edit their district preference/exam centre from June 05 to June 10. The step is taken to facilitate the candidates during COVID-19 crisis.  Successfully registered candidates can download MHT CET Admit Card once the dates are announced. 

    Latest: MHT CET 2020 dates have been postponed again. Fresh Exam Dates will be announced in due course.

    • MHT CET is conducted by Maharashtra State Government to offer students admission into various courses like engineering and pharmacy.
    • The computer-based exam is organized across various exam centers in Maharashtra

    While filling the application form candidates were required to provide all the mandatory information and also upload the documents like recent passport size photograph and signature in JPG format. The process for filling MHT CET Application form includes 5 steps.     How to Fill MHT CET 2020 Application Form?

    For applying to MHT CET 2020, candidates were able to fill the application forms online from Jan 7 to Feb 29, 2020 by paying an online fee of INR 800. With additional late registration fees of INR 500 aspirants were able to apply from March 01 to March 07, 2020. 

    The given steps have to be followed by candidates to fill the application form successfully:

    Step 1: MHT CET 2020 Registration

    • In order to register online, candidates had to visit the official website and click on ‘Apply Online’.
    • MHT CET 2020 Registration page opens up wherein you have to first register and then fill the online form.
    • To complete the registration process you have to provide a valid email and phone number. 
    • After successful registration, your user Id and Password will be sent via SMS/Email. 

    Step 2: Filling of Online Application form

    After successful registration candidates had to start filling the online application form where they accurate information like Personal Details, Contact Information, Reservation, Educational Qualifications, and other mandatory details were required.

    1. Personal Information: Here, details like Father’s/Husband’s/Guardian’s Name, Mother’s First name, Gender as applicable, Date of Birth were required.
    2. Contact Information: Enter valid personal address, email id, personal mobile number and nationality along with other required information while filling the form online. An email and SMS will be sent to the registered email id and mobile no. Please quote your Application number in all future correspondence with MHT CET Office.

    1.  Reservation: Select Category from the given options, i.e. General, SC/ST, NC-OBC. In the case of Reserved Categories, you have to fill additional details such as Caste/Tribe name, State/Union Territory, etc. You can access these details from the National Commission for Backward Classes website.
    2. Other Details: People with disabilities have to select “Yes” in the PWD field. All candidates have to enter the asked information (Aadhar number, name of the bank, type of account, IFSC code, etc.) while filling the form online.

    1. Education Details: This section requires you to fill in your educational details from class 12th up to your most recent academic qualification. You have to enter the details like HSC/12th class examination/Diploma (Compulsory for all candidates), Bachelor Degree Details (Compulsory for all candidates), Other Professional Degree, Post-graduation Degree Details (if any)
    2. Login Details Required for MHT CET 2020: Select the subject(s) you wish to appear in MHT CET 2020 viz. Mathematics/Biology. You have to enter a Password while filling the online Application Form that should contain 8 to 15 characters and must include at least one uppercase character, one lowercase character, and one numeral. Remember the password since it will be required while filling the application form.
    3. Declaration by the Candidate: The applicants have to click on "I Agree" after carefully going through the points mentioned. The security key has to be entered diligently after which the applicants can click "Next" to proceed further.

    Note: Check all the data filled in the Online Application Form before submitting it. No changes in Name, Father's Name, Date of Birth, Mobile No., and Email ID are permitted once confirmed and submitted.

    Step 3: Upload Images

    Click on the “Upload Photo & Signature” tab. Upload the Photograph/Signature as per the set standard.

    • The size of the photograph should be between 15 KB to 50 KB.
    • The size of the signature file should be between 5 KB to 20 KB.
    • The format accepted is JPG/JPEG only. 
    • Candidates have to upload one Id Proof also in .pdf format only and the size should be between 15 to 256 KB.

    Step 4: MHT CET 2020 Application Fee Payment

    The MHT CET 2020 Application Fee was required to be paid online. Candidates could pay the requisite fee using, Netbanking, Credit Card, Debit Card, Mobile wallets, etc. The service charge (as applicable) was borne by the candidate. The applicants must note that the MHT CET 2020 Application Fee is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.

    Step 5: Confirmation Page

    On successful payment of the MHT CET Application fee, a confirmation of the same was displayed on the screen. After successful payment, the candidate could take the print out of MHT CET 2020 confirmation page for future reference.

    In case the candidate forgets his/her password, it can be retrieved by performing the following steps:

    Step 1: Visit the official website and click Login. The following page will appear on the screen:

    Step 3: After entering the required details, validate them. Instructions to reset the password will be sent to the registered mobile number and e-mail ID.

    Step 3: After entering the required details, check the details again and validate. The application number will be sent to the registered e-mail or mobile number.

    Documents Required

    List of Documents Required while Filling MHT CET 2020 Application Form

    To fill the form easily and correctly you need to keep the following documents handy with you:

    • Marksheet of Class 10th 
    • Marksheet of Class 12th 
    • Scanned passport size photograph
    • Scanned Signature
    • Address Proof
    • Category Certificate, if any.

    Note: The documents that are required to be upload while filling the application form should be of prescribed format otherwise you will not be able to submit the application form.

    Important Things to Remember while filling MHT CET Application Form

    • Before the final submission of application form candidates must verify all the information provided by them.
    • You cannot submit your fees without paying the online fees and while paying the fee do not press refresh or back button, if do so then your payment may not be considered successful.
    • Provide accurate information like contact number, email ID, address details.
    • All the details are very important for further communication with the authorities.
    • Candidate should note that if they are appearing for both the groups i.e. PCM and PCB then their Percentile score of Physics or Chemistry cannot be used interchangeably among the groups.
    • Candidates are instructed to select the Medium /Language of Question Paper before submitting the application of MHT CET 2020 examination. 
    • The medium will be English, Urdu, Marathi for Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
    • Mathematics paper will only be available in the English Language.
    • The center once allotted will not be changed under any circumstances.
    • Candidates who have opted for both PCM/PCB group then there are chances that they might get 2 different exam centers

    Question: When does the Online Registration for MHT CET 2020 start?

    Answer: Online Registration for MHT CET 2020 started from January 7 to Feb 29, 2020. You can visit the official website to fill the forms online. The fee to fill the online form was INR 800. While filling the form candidates had to provide the correct information and the images should be uploaded only in JPG/JPEG format.

    Question: Do I need to report to any MHT CET office for Online registration?

    Answer: No. Online Registration can be done from any place of convenience using the internet. You just have to enter the valid information while filling the form and you will confirmation after successful submission of application.

    Question: Do I need any documents to get registered Online?

    Answer: No. You will only be required to fill the required information in the online application form. You can few documents handy with you so that you can fill the forms easily like 10th, 12th class mark sheets, scanned images of recent passport size photograph and signature etc. The scanned images should be in JPG/JPEG format only. The information provided by you while filling the online form should be accurate to avoid any future discrepancies.

    Question: If I have passed /appearing for 12th from a School in Mumbai, how do I know if the ‘District of School falls under Mumbai (11) or Mumbai Suburban (12).?

    Answer: If your School is situated between Colaba and Mahim or Colaba and Sion, then select Mumbai (11) and if it is beyond Sion and Mahim, then select Mumbai Suburban (12).

    Question: How do I convert CGPA to a percentage?

    Answer:  You just need to multiply your CGPA with 9.5 and the result will be your percentage. You can also contact the principal of your school / junior college for the conversion formula.

    Question: I am an ST Category candidate for Madhya Pradesh. Shall I get the benefit of ST Category?

    Answer: No. The Reservation will be given to the Backward Class candidates of Maharashtra State only. You can check the eligibility criteria to get detailed information.

    With the help given below procedure candidates can make corrections in the application form.

    1)Go to the official website link (link will be given above).

    2)Open the link and you will be redirected to official website.

    3)Go to the application form section.

    4) Enter the details such as application number, password and security pin.

    5)Edit/modify the details in which field you want. Save the changes and take printout of it.

    6)Secure the printout of modify application form till exam date.
