MHT CET 2019 Counselling Process

MHT CET 2019 Counselling will be conducted by The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra in the month of June. All the eligible candidates must register online mode to attend the MHT CET counselling session. Candidates applying for Institutional Quota Seats and Supernumerary Seats (for OCI/PIO/foreign students & children of Indian workers in Gulf countries) have to apply directly to the DTE Maharshtra and concerned institution.

  • Only 15% All India Quota seats will be filled through JEE Main.
  • Rest of the 85% seats will be filled through MHT CET 2019
  • The documents & MHT CET Eligibility of the selected candidates will be checked by the conducting authority.
  • After the verification of documents & eligibility, the authority will invite the applications for admission.
  • During Choice-Filling, enter colleges & courses in the decreasing order according to the preference.

MHT CET Counselling will be conducted through a Centralised Counselling Process (CAP). Through CAP following seats are filled:

  • Maharashtra State Candidature Seats,
  • All India Candidature Seats,
  • Minority Quota Seats and
  • Supernumerary Seats for Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature

Registration Procedure for MHT CET Counselling

MHT CET Counselling Registrations have to be done by the candidates. The steps for the registration are mentioned below:

  • Step 1 - Registration
  • Step 2 - Details on Types of Candidature
  • Step 3 - Enter Qualification and Examination Details
  • Step 4 - Uploading of Scanned Images
  • Step 5 - Payment of Counselling Fees
  • Step 6 - Print out of Counselling Application Form

Step 1 - Registration 

  • Click on “New Registration”
  • On the next page, the selection of nationality has to be done by the candidates.
  • Next, they have to submit their personal, contact and security details on the registration form.

Selection of Password

A password has to be created after submitting the required details. The listed policies have to be correctly followed while creating the password:

  • The password must be 8 to 13 characters long
  • The password must have atleast one upper and lower case alphabet.
  • Atleast one numeric value must be present in the password.
  • The password must contain at least one special character i.e., !@#$%^&*-

Step 2 - Selection of Details on Types of Candidature

While registration, the candidates will have to select their type of candidature according to their category. The selection has to be done from the following categories by the candidates as per their eligibility:

  • Maharashtra State Candidature (Type A/B/C/D/E)
  • OMS
  • J&K Migrant Applicant
  • Foreign Students
  • NRI
  • GoI

Step 3 - Enter Qualification and Examination Details

Submit class 10th and 12th standard subject wise and overall marks along with the name of the school board. Also, enter all the information related to MHT CET 2019.

Step 4 - Uploading of Scanned Images

Next, submit the scanned photograph and signature according to the specifications mentioned in the table given below:

Step 5 – Payment of Counselling Fees

After submitting all of the required information and scanned images, the candidates will have to pay the counselling fees. The payment of the counselling fees has to be done in online mode.

Step 6 – Take Print out of Counselling Application Form

After payment of the counselling fees, take the print out of the filled-in application form and present it for verification at the facilitation centres.

Reporting at Admission Facilitation Centres (AFC)

Successfully registered candidates will have to report to the admission facilitation centres for verification of documents. The original documents along with a set of self-attested copies have to be presented at the facilitation centres. Those candidates who do not report at the facilitation centre will not be allowed to proceed further in the admission process.

The following documents have to be submitted for verification:

  • Print out of MHT CET 2019 Counselling Registration Form
  • MHT CET  Rank card
  • MHT CET Admit Card
  • 10th and 12th Standard Pass Certificate and Mark Sheet
  • Category Certificate (if applicable)
  • Character Certificate
  • Migration Certificate
  • School Leaving Certificate
  • Domicile Certificate (if applicable)

Selection of College and Course

Login to the candidates’ login account to submit the choice of college and course. Minimum 1 and maximum 300 options can be selected by the candidates. All of the options have to be selected in order of preference since this factor will also be considered during the allotment of seats.

Release of Provisional Merit List

The concerned authorities of MHT CET 2019 will be releasing the provisional merit list tentatively in the third week of June 2019. MHT CET 2019 provisional merit list will consist of the names of the allotted candidates. The authorities will allot the seats according to the merit of the candidates along with his/her preference of courses and colleges.

MHT CET 2019 Seat Allotment

The allotment of seats in participating institutes will be carried out through Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) based on Merit Ranking and Choice Filling. The Round 1 of CAP will be done tentatively in the fourth week of June 2019. Thereby, candidates will be able to check their allotment status by providing Application ID and Date of Birth. The allotment of seats also depends upon the availability of seats. The allotment list will be published only in online mode.

Reporting at Admission Reporting Centres

After allotment, the candidates will have to report at the reporting centre to “freeze”, “float” or “slide” their allotted seat.

  • If the candidates do not wish to participate in the further round of seat allotment, then they will have to select “Freeze”.
  • The option of “Slide” is selected if the candidate accepts the allotted seat but is open for admission into a higher preferred course within the same institute.
  • “Float” is selected when the candidate accepts the allotted seat but shows interest if any higher preferred choice of course or college is open for admission in the further rounds of allotment.

Reporting at Allotted Institute

Allotted candidates will finally have to report to their allotted institute to complete the admission process. Payment of the balance fees has to be done to confirm the allotted seats. The confirmation process has to be completed before the final date.

How can i freez my seat which was allotted to me in cap round 1st .....cause the seat which is allotted to me in cap round 2nd is not satisfactory for me..i want to freez the seat which was allotted in cap round what will the process...i have confirmed the seat at ARC but i have not freezed it.

Hi Chaitanya, Yes, You are Eligible for BPT Course but Admission is based on the college cut off, So please visit the official website of the college to get the Cut off for BPT Course through MHTCET.
