With a 98 percentile in MHT CET (Open category), getting top tech branches like CSE, AI&ML, or E&TC at COEP is difficult, as they close above 98.5–99.5 percentile. However, you stand a strong chance for core branches like Metallurgy, Civil, and Manufacturing Science, or potentially Electrical and Instrumentation in later counselling rounds.
If you are non-domiciled in Maharashtra, you can apply for MHT CET, if you have a valid JEE Main score for admissions to BTech, B.E. and B Pharm courses.
There is however no category-wise eligibility criteria for candidates who are non-domiciled in Maharashtra. MHT CET is almost equivalent to JEE Main as students who have cleared JEE Main are not required to take the MHT CET exams and are directly referred to the counselling rounds.
