Founded in 1916, Banaras Hindu University is one of the most prestigious Central Universities in the country. Faculty of Law, Banaras Hindu University offers top LLB courses in Uttar Pradesh.

  • For BA.LLB, applicants must have passed the 10+2 examination with a minimum of 50% marks and should have appeared in the Undergraduate Entrance Test (UET) conducted by the college.
  • Also, for BA.LLB, applicants should not be more than 20 years of age on July 1st of the year of seeking admission. (22 years for SC/ ST/ OBC)
  • For LLB, applicants must have passed B.A/ B.Sc./ B.Com with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.

Aligarh Muslim University 

Established in 1920, Aligarh Muslim University is a public Central University. The University offers a BA.LLB and LLM courses for the students.

  • For BA.LLB, candidates must have passed 10+2 an equivalent examination with aggregate not less than 50% of the total marks. However, the final selection is done on the basis of BA.LLB entrance test held at Aligarh Muslim University.
  • The age limit for BA.LLB is 22 years as on 01st July in the year of admission.
  • AMU BA.LLB test will have 100 multiple-choice questions of 100 marks spread over three sections- Proficiency in English, Current Affairs/General Knowledge and Reasoning & Aptitude.
  • For LLM, candidates must have passed LL.B or BA-LL.B from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. However, the final selection will be done on the basis of a Departmental Test.
  • The age limit for LLM is 27 years as on 01st July in the year of admission.
  • The departmental test will have both objective and subjective questions.
