Note: The CD Score is the sum of academic and placement scores. The academic scores are calculated based on state exam cutoffs or all-India entrance exam cutoffs, along with student reviews, NAAC rankings, and agency ratings. The Placement Scores are calculated based on the average package, median package, and the number of students placed from each college.
Ques. Which MBA colleges in Rajasthan can a student get without a high CAT percentile?
Ans. Most of Rajasthan accepts more than one test, so a modest CAT score is rarely the end of the road.
- Scenario 1 — a CAT score in the 60-75 band. Jaipuria Jaipur, Taxila Business School and Manipal University Jaipur all build merit lists from CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA or GMAT and take the best score a candidate holds. Taxila Business School carries the second-best IIRF placing in the state at 22/120 and a median of 11.50 LPA against a 9.55 Lakh fee, which is the strongest value proposition in that band.
- Scenario 2 — no competitive national score at all. IIHMR University runs its own IIHMRU-MAT, BITS Pilani its own BAAT, and CURAJ Ajmer admits through CUET-PG. University of Rajasthan fills its MBA through the PIM MAT run by its Rajasthan Academy of Public Institutional Management. SKIT Jaipur and a large group of private colleges take seats through RMAP counselling, where a Rajasthan domicile with any valid entrance score is ranked ahead of an out-of-state candidate.
- A cutoff only decides who gets shortlisted. Group discussion, personal interview, academic record and work experience carry the rest of the weight at every college here.
Ques. What is RMAP and which MBA colleges in Rajasthan admit through it?
Ans. RMAP is the Rajasthan MBA Admission Process, the state's centralised online MBA counselling. It is run by the Centre for Electronic Governance (CEG), Jaipur, and it allots seats in participating Rajasthan colleges on scores from CAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, MAT and GMAT rather than on a test of its own. CMAT is the preferred score and CAT and XAT are treated as high priority. Candidates holding a Rajasthan domicile along with a valid entrance score are ranked first in the preference order, ahead of domicile candidates without a score and out-of-state candidates.
Rajasthan runs no state MBA entrance test. RMAT, the old state test, is defunct and nothing in the current admission cycle refers to it. Among the colleges on this page, SKIT Jaipur participates in RMAP under code 302. The IIM, BITS Pilani, MNIT Jaipur, CURAJ Ajmer and the private universities admit through their own processes and sit outside RMAP.
Ques. What is the admission procedure for MBA colleges in Rajasthan?
Ans. There are three separate routes, and which one applies depends entirely on the college.
- Route 1 — a national entrance test. IIM Udaipur shortlists on CAT at an overall 94 with a 75 sectional requirement, then runs a written assessment and personal interview. MNIT Jaipur, Jaipuria Jaipur, Manipal University Jaipur and Taxila Business School accept CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA or GMAT and publish a merit list rather than a percentile floor.
- Route 2 — the college's own test. BITS Pilani admits its MBA in Business Analytics through BAAT, its own entrance examination, and does not take CAT or GMAT for it. IIHMR University runs the IIHMRU-MAT. CURAJ Ajmer, as a central university, admits through CUET-PG. University of Rajasthan uses the PIM MAT.
- Route 3 — centralised state counselling. SKIT Jaipur and a wide group of private and affiliated colleges fill seats through RMAP counselling on a valid national test score.
- Every route closes with document verification and fee payment at the allotted college. A graduation degree with 50% aggregate, relaxed to 45% for reserved categories at most colleges, is the common eligibility floor.
Ques. Which are the cheapest government and private MBA colleges in Rajasthan?
Ans. The two sit far apart on fee and close together on outcome.
Cheapest government option — CURAJ Ajmer
- Total Fees: 1.32 Lakh
- Average/Median Package: 3.60 LPA
- ROI: 272.73%, the best on this page
- Cutoff: admission through CUET-PG
- Admission Process: CUET-PG score followed by the university's own counselling
Cheapest private option — Tantia University, Sriganganagar
- Total Fees: 30.00 K, the lowest MBA fee in the state
- Average/Median Package: not published
- Cutoff: no numbered cutoff published
- Admission Process: direct merit admission on graduation marks
CURAJ Ajmer is a central university and its 1.32 Lakh fee buys a two-year full-time MBA with a published median, which is why its return runs so far ahead of every private college here. Tantia University is cheaper in absolute terms but publishes no placement figure, so no return can be calculated for it.

Ques. What is REAP and how does it decide engineering admission in Rajasthan?
Ans. REAP is the Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process, run by the Centre for Electronic Governance (CEG), Jaipur for the state technical-education department. It is counselling, not an examination. Rajasthan has no state engineering entrance test — RPET was discontinued and REAP replaced it.
REAP does not blend scores. It builds three separate merit lists in a fixed priority order:
- Merit List 1 — candidates holding a JEE Main rank, ranked on that rank. This list is filled first.
- Merit List 2 — candidates with no JEE Main score, ranked on Class 12 percentile.
- Merit List 3 — candidates holding a state-approved engineering diploma, ranked on diploma percentile. This is also the lateral-entry route.
The only weighted formula REAP uses is for BArch, where Class 12 percentile counts for half and the higher of the NATA or JEE score for the other half. A 60:40 blend is sometimes quoted for BTech and is not supported by the admission-basis tables.
Roughly 85% of seats go to Rajasthan domicile candidates and 15% to other states. Government colleges fill every seat through REAP; private colleges fill about half, keeping the rest for management and direct admission. Eligibility is 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics compulsory and 45% aggregate, relaxed to 40% for SC, ST, PwD, OBC and SBC candidates of Rajasthan.
Because of the three-list structure, a REAP closing figure is not one number on one scale. For a Merit List 1 candidate it is a JEE Main rank; for a Merit List 2 candidate it is a Class 12 percentage.
Ques. Which are the best engineering colleges in Rajasthan for Computer Science?
Ans. Six colleges stand out, and they sit on four different admission scales.
| College Name | CSE Cutoff | Total Course Fees (INR) | Average/Median Package |
|---|---|---|---|
| BITS Pilani | 308 BITSAT 2026 (out of 390) | 30.47 Lakh | 18.00 LPA |
| IIT Jodhpur | 3755 JEE Advanced 2026 | 10.74 Lakh | 13.65 LPA |
| MNIT Jaipur | 5868 JEE Main 2026 (other-state) | 9.87 Lakh | 10.00 LPA |
| IIIT Kota | 31149 JEE Main 2026 | 12.34 Lakh | 9.10 LPA |
| CURAJ Ajmer | 58353 JEE Main 2026 | 7.02 Lakh | 4.83 LPA |
| Manipal University Jaipur | 4255 MET 2026 (Maths and Computing) | 19.73 Lakh | 7.88 LPA |
MNIT Jaipur gives the best combination on this list, pairing a 10.00 LPA median with a 9.87 Lakh fee for a return of 101.32%. CURAJ Ajmer is the cheapest route into a CSE seat at a nationally funded institution, though its engineering cohort is small — only 17 of 45 graduating students were placed in the year it last reported.
Ques. Which engineering colleges in Rajasthan can a student get at a JEE Main rank between 30,000 and 1,00,000?
Ans. Two institutions of national importance remain open across that band, and the REAP pool covers the rest.

| CURAJ Ajmer |

MNIT Jaipur closes well above this band and is out of reach, with its most accessible branch, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, shutting at 37,814 on the other-state quota and 35,224 on the Rajasthan home-state quota.
Ques. Which are the cheapest government and private engineering colleges in Rajasthan?
Ans.
Cheapest government option — MBM Engineering College, Jodhpur
- Total Fees: 1.63 Lakh for four years
- Admission Process: REAP counselling on a JEE Main rank or Class 12 percentile
- Cutoff: no numbered closing rank published
- Note: MBM separated from Jai Narain Vyas University in 2021 to become MBM University and is now its own NIRF filer
Cheapest private option — Surendera Group of Institutions, Sriganganagar
- Total Fees: 1.60 Lakh for four years
- Admission Process: REAP counselling plus the college's own management quota
- Cutoff: no numbered closing rank published
- Note: 40.00 K a year across all four years, verified against the 2026 fee schedule
Several figures circulating as "cheapest engineering college in Rajasthan" do not survive checking. MPUAT Udaipur's 83.00 K is a single year rather than a four-year total — the same degrees on the same campus cost 3.68 Lakh over four years. Government Engineering College Ajmer's 1.96 Lakh is a 2019 tuition-only sum, and its current all-in charge is 3.16 Lakh. Bhagwant University's 90.00 K is contradicted by its own per-year tuition of 75.00 K.

Ques. Why is National Law University Jodhpur not in the fee table above?
Ans. Because it is a different kind of degree, not because it is a lesser college. NLU Jodhpur is Rajasthan's strongest law school by some distance — IIRF Law 2/43, The Week Law 6/59 and Outlook Law 5/13, placings no other institution in the state comes near.

| CD Score | 453 out of 1000 |
| Top Course | BA LLB (Hons.), 5 years, 130 seats |
| Total Course Fee | INR 14.47 Lakh |
| Admission | Through CLAT, conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities |
| Cutoff | 355 CLAT 2026 (round-4 closing AIR) |
| College Type | State Public University, established 1999 |
The table above prices three-year LLB programmes entered after graduation. NLU Jodhpur's BA LLB (Hons.) runs five years, is entered after Class 12, and costs INR 14.47 Lakh against a table whose middle sits near INR 1.05 Lakh. Placing it in the same fee and return column would compare two different products. Its median is also a problem of its own: NLU Jodhpur last filed with NIRF Law in 2022, at rank 10 of 30, and has not filed since, so the only figure that exists for it is four editions old.
If you are choosing a law school in Rajasthan on reputation and are willing to enter after Class 12, NLU Jodhpur is the answer. If you already hold a degree, the three-year LLB table above is your field.
Ques. What is the admission procedure for law colleges in Rajasthan?
Ans. Rajasthan has no single centralised law counselling. Unlike Gujarat, which routes public-university law seats through its GCAS portal, and Punjab, which runs one state counselling, Rajasthan splits into four separate routes.
- Route 1 — CLAT. Only NLU Jodhpur admits this way, through the Consortium of National Law Universities, closing around all-India rank 355 in the 2026 cycle.
- Route 2 — the University of Rajasthan's own tests. The university runs two different examinations for two different degrees. ULET, the University Law Entrance Test, fills roughly 660 three-year LLB seats across University Law College and University Law College Centre-II, with separate counselling for each. It is 150 objective questions of one mark each, offline, with no negative marking. RULET is a separate test and admits only to the five-year BA LLB at University Five Year Law College. Eligibility for ULET is 45% at graduation for General, EWS, MBC and OBC candidates and 40% for SC, ST and PwD candidates, rising to 60% for anyone holding a degree from outside Rajasthan.
- Route 3 — each state university's own counselling. MGSU Bikaner runs its own LLB three-year counselling programme, and MLSU Udaipur and JNVU Jodhpur each admit to their own faculties of law on graduation merit.
- Route 4 — the standalone law colleges. Every standalone law college in Rajasthan is affiliated to and examined by Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Law University, Jaipur, which affiliated 82 colleges for 2026-27. These colleges admit on graduation merit under the university's policy. Among private universities, Manipal University Jaipur and Amity University Jaipur additionally accept LSAT-India scores, JVWU Jaipur runs its own JNEE, and JECRC University gives preference to candidates holding a valid CLAT score.
Ques. Which are the cheapest government and private law colleges in Rajasthan?
Ans.
Cheapest government option — MLSU Udaipur
- Total Course Fee: INR 10.24 K for three years on the general quota
- Average/Median Package: 6.50 LPA, the highest law median in the state
- ROI: 6347.66%
- Admission Process: the university's own merit admission to its Faculty of Law
Cheapest private option — Gyan Vidhi PG Mahavidyalaya, Bikaner
- Total Course Fee: INR 44.80 K for three years
- Average/Median Package: not published
- Admission Process: graduation merit under Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Law University policy
- Approval: affiliation granted for 2026-27 with 240 LLB seats
Rajasthan's state public universities charge remarkably little for law. MGSU Bikaner at INR 15.50 K, Government Law College Sriganganagar at INR 16.50 K, Govind Guru Tribal University at INR 31.68 K, University of Rajasthan at INR 35.42 K and JNVU Jodhpur at INR 36.00 K all sit below INR 40 K for the full three years.
Ques. Which law colleges in Rajasthan accept which entrance exam?
Ans. Five channels operate across the state, and most colleges sit on only one of them.
| Entrance / Channel | Top Colleges Accepting It |
|---|---|
| CLAT | NLU Jodhpur, and JECRC University as a preference |
| LSAT-India | Manipal University Jaipur, Amity University Jaipur |
| ULET (3-year LLB) | University of Rajasthan |
| RULET (5-year BA LLB) | University of Rajasthan |
| JNEE | JVWU Jaipur |
| Graduation merit, no entrance test | JNU Jaipur, VGU Jaipur, Mewar University, MLSU Udaipur, JNVU Jodhpur, MGSU Bikaner, Shekhawati Group of Institutions, Sikar |
One piece of live enforcement is worth knowing before applying. In August 2026 the Bar Council of India barred nine law colleges across the country from admitting students for 2026-27, four of them in Rajasthan — Sardar Patel Law College Sriganganagar, Rajiv Gandhi Vidhi Mahavidyalaya Tonk, Kautilya Law College Jaipur and SGN Khalsa Law PG College Sriganganagar. None of them appears on this page.

Ques. What is the eligibility for NEET UG in Rajasthan?
Ans. A candidate must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology and English at Class 12, clearing theory and practical separately in each science subject, and must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31 December of the admission year. There is no upper age limit.
| Category | Qualifying Percentile | Equivalent NEET Score |
|---|---|---|
| General and General-EWS | 50th percentile | 213 marks and above |
| General-PwBD and EWS-PwBD | 45th percentile | 194 marks and above |
| SC, ST, ST-STA, OBC-NCL, MBC-NCL and PwBD of these categories | 40th percentile | 177 marks and above |
Qualifying NEET UG makes a candidate eligible to take part in counselling. It does not by itself secure a seat, and the closing ranks above show how far below the qualifying line the government colleges actually shut.
Ques. can a student get direct admission to an MBBS college in Rajasthan without NEET?
Ans. No. There is no direct-admission route to MBBS anywhere in Rajasthan or anywhere else in India. Every MBBS seat in every government, government-society, deemed and private medical college is filled from the NEET UG merit list, whether through the All India Quota run by the Medical Counselling Committee or the Rajasthan state counselling.
This holds for management and NRI seats too. A management seat costs far more — about 51.91 Lakh for the course at a Rajasthan government-society college against roughly 5.35 Lakh on a government seat — but it still requires a qualifying NEET score and still has to be taken through the state counselling board. Any offer of an MBBS seat without NEET is not a valid admission.
Ques. What is the management quota fee at MBBS colleges in Rajasthan?
Ans. It depends entirely on which kind of college you are looking at, and one group has no management seats at all.
- The six plain state government colleges have no management quota. SMS Medical College Jaipur, Dr SN Medical College Jodhpur, SPMC Bikaner, GMC Kota, JLN Medical College Ajmer and RNT Medical College Udaipur carry government seats only. Three of them hold fifteen NRI seats each; the other three hold none.
- The government-society colleges and RUHS College of Medical Sciences do, and in volume — 1,439 management seats across the state, close to one management seat for every government seat at those colleges. GMC Churu, for example, carries 52 government and 52 management seats. Tuition on a management seat is 10,05,100 a year, 50.26 Lakh across five years, taking the all-in figure to about 51.91 Lakh before hostel. The security deposit for a management choice is 2.00 Lakh against 50.00 K for a government choice.
- Private colleges run higher still. Across Rajasthan's eighteen private medical colleges the course total runs from about 84.00 Lakh to 1.50 Crore. NRI seats at government, government-society and RUHS colleges run about 1.60 Crore to 1.76 Crore for the course.
Ques. What is the admission procedure for MBBS colleges in Rajasthan?
Ans. Everything begins with NEET UG, and the seat pool then splits in two.
- The 15% All India Quota is surrendered by every government, government-society, RUHS and ESIC college and filled by the Medical Counselling Committee under the Directorate General of Health Services. A further 24 seats, four at each of the six state medical colleges, go to the central government pool. AIIMS Jodhpur fills entirely through this national route and takes no part in state counselling.
- The 85% state quota is filled by the Office of the Chairman, NEET UG Medical and Dental Admission and Counselling Board, which sits on the SMS Medical College campus at JLN Marg, Jaipur. It also fills the general and management seats at private colleges. Reporting and document verification take place at the academic block of SMS Medical College.
- State-quota eligibility turns on domicile. A candidate qualifies if a parent has lived in Rajasthan continuously for the last ten years and the candidate studied at least five of those years in a recognised Rajasthan institution, or if the candidate is a bona fide Rajasthan resident studying elsewhere, or is the child of a serving or retired Rajasthan government employee, an All India Services officer on the Rajasthan cadre with three or more years of state service, or a serving or retired Defence or para-military person of Rajasthan origin. Candidates meeting none of these may register but are considered only against seats left vacant after the state merit list is exhausted, and receive no state reservation.
- State reservation for domicile candidates runs ST 12%, SC 16%, OBC-NCL 21%, MBC-NCL 5% and EWS 10%, with at least 25% of each category ring-fenced horizontally for women and 5% for candidates with benchmark disabilities.
Ques. What does a medical graduate in Rajasthan do after MBBS?
Ans. The MBBS degree is followed by a compulsory rotating internship of one year, paid at the rates shown further down this page, after which three paths open up.
- Postgraduate study is what most graduates pursue, through NEET PG for an MD or MS seat. Rajasthan's six state medical colleges and the larger government-society colleges all run postgraduate departments, and a bond or service obligation applies at several of them.
- State government service is the second path. Rajasthan recruits medical officers through the Rajasthan Public Service Commission and the Medical Education Department, and graduates of state colleges who took a government seat may carry a rural service commitment.
- Clinical practice or a hospital post is the third. Graduates of SMS Medical College Jaipur, Dr SN Medical College Jodhpur and RNT Medical College Udaipur have the advantage of training in very large attached hospitals — SMS Hospital alone runs over 6,000 beds — which carries weight in recruitment.
- There is no placement season in medicine as there is in engineering or management, which is why no medical college on this page publishes an average package and none is shown above.
