MH CET/MHT CET 2019 Dates, Registration, Eligibility, Pattern & Syllabus

DTE Maharashtra acts as Nodal Officer for conducting CETs under Technical Education. MHT CET is a state level entrance test which is scheduled for multiple dates for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the participating colleges.  

The application forms for Common Entrance Tests will be released separately at the official website. The registration process is completely online. The eligibility criteria also vary as per the exams. 

  • The application process for MHT CET from third week of January. The last date to apply for MHT CET is March 25, 2019. Click Here for MH CET Registration
  • The minimum age limit to apply for UG courses is 17 years and a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in 10+2. While for MBA and MCA aspirants, they must have 3-years Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks in aggregate. Check Here Detailed Eligibility
  • Admit cards for CET will be available in online mode only at the official website of DTE Maharashtra. Use application number and password to download the admit card. Download Here
  • MHT CET exam will be conducted at all the District HQs of Maharashtra from where the student has passed/is appearing 10+2. Check List of MH CET Exam Centers

MH CET/MHT CET 2019

MHT CET is conducted for admission to B.E/B.Tech and B.Pharm./ Pharm. D. Courses in the state of Maharashtra. The online application forms are available online from January 18 to March 25, 2019 at www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in/mhtcet2019

Admission to other courses offered through MHT CET are B. Sc. (Honours) (Agriculture) / B.Sc. (Honours) (Horticulture) / B.Sc. (Honours) (Forestry) / B.Tech. (Agriculture Engineering) / B.Tech. (Food Technology) / B.Sc. (Honours) (Community Science) / B. Tech. (Bio-Technology) / B.F.Sc. (Fisheries) / B.Sc. (Honours) (Animal Husbandry).

All the aspirants are requested to go through MHT CET 2019 Eligibility and read all the instructions before applying for MHT CET 2019.

  • Candidates must be a national of India to be eligible to apply for MHT CET 2019.
  • For admission to MHT CET 2019, there is no age bar set by the authorities.
  • Candidates must have passed High School Examination/ 12th Standard examination or its equivalent examination.

Online Application for MHT CET 2019

The online application form for MHT CET 2019 is available and the last date to fill application form is March 25, 2019. The application procedure for MHT CET 2019 is as follows:

  • Go to the official website of MHT CET and look for ‘Registration’ link.
  • Fill the details required for online form including personal and academic details.
  • After successful registration, upload scanned copy of the Passport size photograph and signature in given dimensions.
  • Next, download the MHT CET 2019 Bank Challan and visit the nearest SBI Bank within 48 hours.
  • Once the application status is updated, download it and take a photocopy of the MHT CET 2019 Application Form.

MHT CET 2019 Admit Card & Exam Center

  • The admit card will be available to download from April 4, 2019 from official website of MHT CET. Once the application process has been done completely, the admit card can be obtained easily. Check MHT CET 2019 Admit Card
  • The exam center to the candidates will be allotted from where they have passed their HSC examination.
  • For those who appeared for HSC exams outside Maharashtra shall appear for the exam in the division or headquarters where they have submitted their MHT CET 2019 Application Form.

MHT CET 2019 Exam Pattern

MHT CET 2019 will comprise of questions asked from qualifying exam subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. The paper will be for 3 hours’ duration for total 200 marks.

MHT CET 2019 Result and Counselling

  • MHT CET 2019 results are declared in the first week of June every year. Candidates must download their results from the online portal by visiting the official website of MHT CET.
  • The counselling procedure and seat allotment shall begin thereafter through Centralized Allotment Process.
  • An online form will be filled by the candidates regarding their choices and according to the marks secured by them in MHT CET 2019, candidates will be allotted the seats.
  • The preparation of merit list will be on the basis of marks secured by candidates in MHT CET 2019.
  • Candidates will be required to fill their choices in the online form according to their preference, on the basis of which, candidates will be allowed to sit for MHT CET Counselling.
  • Counselling process will include Document Verification, Demand Draft of part payment of non-refundable fees, Choice filling, choice locking, and allotment of seat and admission confirmation.

MAH MBA CET 2019

Candidates willing for admission to MBA courses offered at various institutes of Maharashtra state must appear for MAH MBA CET 2019 on March 10 & 11, 2019. The registration for MAH MBA CET was held online from January 22 to February 17, 2019.

Candidates will be considered eligible if they fulfill the following criteria:

  • Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
  • Candidates who have appeared for MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2019/CAT (conducted by IIMs)/ GMAT(conducted by GMAC, USA)/ CMAT 2019(Conducted by AICTE)/MAT(conducted by AIMA)/ XAT (conducted by XLRI)/ ATMA (conducted by AIMS) are considered to be eligible.

MAH MBA CET Exam Dates

MAH MBA application process window was active from January 22 to February 17, 2019. Candidates will have to first go through the registration process, for which steps have been mentioned below:

  • Go to the official website of MH CET and click on “Apply online”.
  • Click on “new registration” and enter your personal and academic details.
  • Next, upload the scanned copy of Photograph and Signatures
  • After submission of information and documents, candidates will have to proceed to the online payment gateway pay INR 1000 (INR 800 for reserved category candidates) through credit card/debit card or net banking.
  • Click on ‘submit’ and obtain the e-receipt for future reference.

MAH MBA CET 2019 Admit Card

  • DTE Maharashtra released MAH MBA Admit Card on February 28, 2019.
  • Eligible candidates who have completed the registration process successfully will have to visit the official website to obtain the admit card.
  • Candidates must enter valid details and check the information printed on the MAH MBA CET 2019 Admit Card

MAH MBA CET 2019 Exam Pattern

  • MAH MBA CET is conducted for 2 hours and 30 minutes.
  • The questions are asked fromfour sections namely, Logical Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability/ Reading Comprehension.
  • The exam is of 200 marks and has a total of 200 multiple choice questions.
  • There will not be any deduction for incorrect responses.

MAH MBA CET 2019 Results & Counselling

  • MAH MBA CET Result will be released on March 19, 2019.
  • The result can be obtained from the official website by entering registration number and password/DOB.
  • The counselling procedure will be held through Centralized Allotment Process, carried out by authorities of State of Maharashtra.
  • Candidates will have to check the official website from time to time to be updated on the status of merit list and allotment process.
  • Candidates whose names are mentioned in the merit list will be required to fill Preference form which will be made available from the regional centre allotted to the candidate.
  • Candidates without preference forms will not be allowed to sit for counselling.
  • The Counselling Process includes Document Verification, Demand Draft of part payment of non-refundable fees, Choice filling, choice locking, and allotment of seat and admission confirmation.

MH CET Law 2019

The Government of Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai holds MH CET Law each year. The exam is held for admission to 5 year LLB and 3 year LLB programs. The online entrance examination is scheduled for April 22 and June 17 for 5 year LLB and 3 year LLB programs respectively. 

Who Can Apply For MH CET Law

  • Candidate should be an Indian Citizen
  • There is no upper age limit for both the programs
  • Final year candidates are eligible to apply for the law exam

How to Apply for MH CET Law

MH CET Law 2019 Registration window will become functional from March 2019. The registration has to be done at the official website of Directorate of Higher Education, Maharashtra. The online registration includes following steps:

  • Online Application Form Filling
  • Uploading of Documents
  • Final Submission of Application Form
  • Payment of Application Fee

Download MH CET Law Admit Card

  • The admit card will only be available in online mode.
  • Enter registration number and password to download MH CET Law Admit Card.
  • It is compulsory to carry admit card to the exam center on the exam day.
  • Candidates who fail to carry their admit cards will not be allowed to appear for the examination.

What is the Pattern of MH CET Law

  • Mode of Exam: Online
  • Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
  • Duration: 2 Hours
  • Medium of Paper: English and Marathi
  • There is no provision for negative marking.

MH CET Law Result & Counselling

DHE Maharashtra will publish result for MH CET Law online on the website. The result is announced separately for 3-year program and 5-year program. For 3 year LLB program, DHE Maharashtra will declare result on May 7, 2019. While for 5 year LLB program, DHE Maharashtra will declare the result in June 2019.

MAH MCA CET 2019

MAH MCA CET is a state level exam conducted every year for admitting aspirants into the first year or second year lateral entry of PG degree course of MCA in various institutes across the state of Maharashtra. The online exam is conducted by DTE Maharashtra which is scheduled for March 24, 2019

  • The exam comprises 100 objective-type questions of 2 marks each. The duration of the test is 90 minutes. Check MAH MCA CET Exam Pattern
  • The paper has 4 sections- Mathematics & Statistics, Logical/ Abstract Reasoning, English Comprehension & Verbal Ability and Computer Concepts.

Who Can Apply for MAH MCA CET

The eligibility criteria for MAH MCA CET are as follows:

  • Candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent from a recognized university in India.
  • Mathematics is a compulsory subject either in 10+2 examination or Graduation.

Online Registration

The registration window for MAH MCA CET was open from February 7 to March 3, 2019 at DTE Maharashtra website. The online registration includes following steps:

  • Go to the official website of MH CET and click on “Apply online”.
  • Click on “new registration” and enter your personal and academic details.
  • Next, upload the scanned copy of Photograph and Signatures within given dimensions.
  • After submission of information and documents, candidates will have to proceed to the online payment gateway pay INR 750 (INR 550 for reserved category candidates) through credit card/debit card or net banking.
  • Click on ‘submit’ and obtain the e-receipt for future reference.

MAH MCA CET Admit Card

  • The hall ticket for MAH MCA CET is available online from March 15 to March 24, 2019
  • Login with Registration Number and Password to download the admit card.
  • Any discrepancy on the admit card must be reported immediately to the exam authority.
  • It is necessary to carry a photo ID proof and a hard copy of the same along with MAH MCA CET 2019 Admit Card on the exam day.

MAH MCA CET Result

  • MAH MCA CET Result 2019 will be published online at the official website on April 4, 2019 (5:00 PM). 
  • Enter Registration Number and Date of Birth to access the result.
  • Duplicate scorecards can be issued by paying INR 200.
  • MAH-MCA CET 2019 score will be considered for preparing the merit list. 
  • Candidates whose names are mentioned in the merit list will be required to fill Preference form that will be made available from the regional centre allotted to the candidate.
  • Candidates without preference forms will not be allowed to participate in counselling.

FAQs

Ques. How do I get login credential for logging in at candidate’s page?

Ans. During the process of online registration, you will generate your own password. After submission of MH CET application form, the system will automatically generate the Application Number.

Aspirants are advised to keep the application no. and password confidential till the end of the process. Sharing of the password can result in its misuse by somebody else, leading to even exclusion of the genuine candidate from the online process.

Ques. If I forget the password that I have created during the process of MH CET registration, how can I retrieve password?

Ans. To retrieve the forgotten password, the system facilitates the following steps:

  1. Click on Forgot Password.

  2. Enter MH CET Application No., Date of Birth and Mother's First Name as filled at the time of online registration.

The above data submitted by the candidate will be validated with registered candidate's database. If the above entries match, only then the system will allow creating a new password.

Ques. Are there any age limit criteria to apply for Engineering & Technology and Pharmacy courses?

Ans. No, there is no age limit for these courses. For more details on MHT CET Eligibility, click here.

Ques. Are there any restrictions on the file size for the photograph and signature?

Ans. Yes, the file size of the photograph should be between 15 KB to 50 KB and the signature file should be between 5 KB to 50 KB. For steps to reduce file size Click Here.

Ques. When can I check & confirm my photo and signature before the admit card is generated?

Ans. On successfully registering for MHT CET 2019, you are required to upload your recent passport size photograph and signature and the same is displayed on the Acknowledgement Form which will be available after the payment has been made.

Please note that full height photographs/portions cut from group photographs etc. will not be accepted and the application will be summarily rejected.

Ques. How do I convert CGPA to percentage?

Ans. Contact the school authority or junior college authority for the conversion formula for converting CGPA to Percentage.

Ques. I am an NRI Candidate aspiring for engineering admission. Can I appear for MHT CET 2019?

Ans. No. The Children of NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National are exempted from appearing for MHT CET 2019. They shall register for Admission purpose during Document Verification stage of Centralised Admission Process, as per the schedule to be declared by the Competent Authority.

Ques. I am a ST Category candidate student of Gujarat state. Can I avail the benefit of ST Category?

Ans. No. The reservation will be given to the Backward Class Candidates of Maharashtra State only.

Ques. I am a Diploma in Electrical Engineering, should I appear for CET for admissions to first year engineering course?

Ans. No. Diploma candidates are eligible for admission without MHTCET. Please refer MHT CET Eligibility for more information.

Ques. Do I have to report to any CET office for Online MHT CET registration?

Ans. No. Online Registration can be done from any place of convenience (including from home) using the internet.

Ques. Do I require any documents to get registered online for MH CET 2019?

Ans. No. You will only be required to fill the information in the online application form such as Date of Birth, residential address, contact details like mobile no., email id, bank details, Aadhaar Number.

Ques. What sections will be covered under MAH MCA CET exam paper?

Ans. The paper will consists of following sections:

  • Logical reasoning
  • Quantitative reasoning
  • High school mathematics
  • Vocabulary
  • English comprehension
  • Verbal ability

Ques. What is the marking scheme in MAH MCA CET paper? Will there be any negative marking.

Ans. Each question iin MAH MCA CET will carry 2 marks. For marking wrong answer, 0.5 marks will be deducted as penalty.

Ques. What is the application fee for applying for MAH MCA CET?

Ans. The application fee varies according to the category of the candidate. For General Category Candidates from Maharashtra State, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS), J & K Migrant candidates, the application fee is INR 1000. While for reserved category candidates, the application fee is INR 800. 

Ques. When will Centralized Application Process for MAH MBA CET commence?

Ans. DTE Maharashtra will begin the CAP (Centralized Admission Process) from the second week of May to the first week of June 2019 onwards.

Ques. What is the expected cut off for top colleges participating in MAH CET?

Hi Abhijit, For All India quota seats JEE Main is necessary, However, for state quota seats, it is up to state exam/counseling authority to accept JEE Main or State CET scores.
