How to Fill CUET 2027 Application Form: Step-by-Step Guide
The entire CUET 2027 registration process is online. Follow these steps carefully to avoid errors that require correction later.
Step 1: Go to the Official NTA Portal
Open cuet.nta.nic.in in your browser. Do not use any third-party website. Look for the CUET 2027 Registration link on the homepage once NTA releases the notification.
Step 2: New Registration
Click "New Registration" and enter your full name (exactly as on your Class 10 certificate), date of birth, email address and mobile number. After submitting, the portal generates your application number and a password. Note these down immediately — all future logins use the application number.
Step 3: Fill Personal and Academic Details
Log in and enter personal details including father’s name, mother’s name, gender, category, nationality and state of eligibility. In the academic section, enter your Class 12 board name, year of passing and marks or percentage. If you are appearing for Class 12 in 2027, select "Appearing".
Step 4: Select Test Papers
CUET 2027 has three sections:
- Section IA (Languages): 13 languages including Hindi, English, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Telugu, Malayalam, Odia, Urdu and Assamese. Required by most central universities.
- Section II (Domain Subjects): 27 subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Accountancy, History, Geography, Economics, Political Science, Psychology and more. Choose subjects matching your Class 12 stream and the university’s requirements.
- Section III (General Test): Covers general knowledge, quantitative reasoning, logical reasoning and language comprehension. Required by many universities for BA, BCom and BBA programmes.
Students can select a maximum of 10 test papers across all sections. Check each university’s subject requirements from the CUET information bulletin before selecting papers. Selecting the wrong subject makes your score invalid for that university.
Step 5: Select Exam City Preferences
Choose up to four exam city preferences in order of preference. NTA allots one city based on availability. Select cities closest to your location.
Step 6: Upload Photograph and Signature
Upload a recent passport-size photograph and a scanned signature as per the specifications in the table below. An incorrect upload will be rejected during admit card generation.
Step 7: Pay Application Fee
Pay through credit card, debit card, net banking or UPI. The fee depends on your category and the number of test papers selected. See the fee table in the next section. Save the payment confirmation receipt.
Step 8: Submit and Download Confirmation Page
Review all details before final submission. After submitting, download and save the confirmation page. This is the only proof of successful registration. No physical acknowledgement is sent by post.
CUET 2027 Application Fee: Category-Wise Table

NTA opens a correction window of 3 to 5 days after the CUET 2027 registration deadline, giving students a one-time opportunity to fix errors in their submitted form. There is no second correction window, so use it carefully.
