CUET Syllabus 2027 is expected to be released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) at cuet.nta.nic.in with the official Information Bulletin. The Common University Entrance Test covers three sections: Languages (Section IA/IB), 23 Domain-Specific Subjects (Section II), and the General Test (Section III). Engineering Graphics has been discontinued from CUET domain subjects since 2025 — students targeting related programmes must confirm admission criteria directly with their university.
- CUET 2027 covers 37 subjects total: 13 specified languages (Section IA), additional languages (Section IB), 23 domain subjects (Section II), and 1 General Test (Section III).
- Engineering Graphics is not available as a CUET domain subject from 2025 onwards. NTA removed it along with five others: Entrepreneurship, Teaching Aptitude, Fashion Studies, Tourism, and Legal Studies.
- The domain syllabus is aligned with NCERT Class 11 and 12 textbooks for all Science, Commerce, and Humanities subjects.
- Each domain paper carries 50 questions with a +5/–1 marking scheme and a 45-minute duration (based on CUET 2026 pattern).
- The General Test covers General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning, and Logical Reasoning.
- Students can choose up to 3 domain subjects from the 23 available — verify your university’s requirements before finalising subject choices.
- The official CUET 2027 syllabus PDF is expected at cuet.nta.nic.in once NTA publishes the notification (expected early 2027).

CUET 2027 Preparation Tips
You can score well in CUET 2027 with NCERT mastery and consistent practice. The exam rewards clarity and speed — 45 minutes for 40 questions leaves little margin for hesitation.
Domain Subjects — Science Stream
- Read NCERT Class 12 textbooks for each chosen subject cover to cover. CUET domain questions are almost entirely NCERT-based.
- Pay close attention to diagrams and in-text examples in Physics and Biology. Questions often reference NCERT figures directly.
- For Chemistry, focus on name reactions in Organic Chemistry. Aldol Condensation, Cannizzaro, and Reimer-Tiemann reactions appear frequently.
- Practise 40-question mock tests under timed conditions. Speed is essential — 45 minutes for 40 questions.
- Solve NCERT Exercise and Miscellaneous Exercise questions for Mathematics. Most CUET numerical questions closely mirror them.
Domain Subjects — Humanities/Arts Stream
- For Political Science, read all three NCERT books fully. Summary notes alone are not sufficient — CUET asks specific textual references.
- Focus on Emergency (1975–77), Cold War Era, and Indian Constitution chapters. These three areas produce roughly 60% of CUET Political Science questions based on previous papers.
- Build a one-page timeline of key political events: Partition (1947), First Elections (1952), Emergency (1975–77), Mandal Commission (1990), Babri Masjid (1992). Sequence-based questions are common.
- For History, focus on Class 12 Themes in Indian History. All three parts — ancient, medieval, and modern India — are covered in equal proportion.
- For Geography, memorise data tables from NCERT Class 12 India People and Economy. Map-based and data questions appear regularly.
General Test
- Read one national newspaper daily. Current Affairs questions draw from the past 12 months of news.

Ques. Is Engineering Graphics available in CUET 2027?
Ans. No. NTA discontinued Engineering Graphics as a CUET domain subject from 2025 onwards. It was removed along with five others: Entrepreneurship, Teaching Aptitude, Fashion Studies, Tourism, and Legal Studies. Engineering Graphics is not an available domain paper for CUET 2027.
