What to Do If Your CAT 2026 Admit Card Has a Wrong Name, Photo or Centre?

If your CAT 2026 admit card contains an incorrect name, photograph, signature or exam centre, contact the CAT helpdesk immediately.

Include your User ID and relevant supporting documents, and do not wait until exam day to report the error.

• Incorrect name or date of birth: Contact the helpdesk with your User ID and a copy of your photo ID as supporting proof.
• Incorrect or blurred photograph or signature: Report the issue with your User ID and a correct photograph. Carry extra passport-size photographs to the exam centre.
• Incorrect exam centre: Contact the helpdesk immediately. Do not assume that the centre can be changed; any decision will be subject to IIM Indore’s instructions.
• Do not alter the admit card: Never overwrite or make handwritten corrections on the printed admit card.

How to Get Errors in CAT 2026 Admit Card Corrected

Errors in the admit card are raised with the CAT helpdesk, not fixed by editing the form again. The application correction window has already closed.

• Step 1: Note the exact error and take a screenshot of the admit card with the error visible.
• Step 2: Email the helpdesk the same day with your User ID, full name and the proof from the table above. Use the helpdesk email and toll-free number given on iimcat.ac.in.
• Step 3: Keep a copy of your message and any reply.
• Step 4: Re-download your admit card from the candidate login if IIM Indore tells you it has been updated.

Wrong or Blurred Photo on CAT 2026 Admit Card: What to Do

If your photo is wrong or unclear, report it to the helpdesk and carry extra photos as a precaution. Do not paste or draw anything on the printed card.

• Report the issue with your User ID and a correct photo.
• Carry extra passport-size photos that match the one you uploaded.
• Carry your original photo ID, which must match the details on the admit card.
• Do not sign the admit card in advance, and sign only when the invigilator asks you to at the centre.

Wrong Exam Centre on CAT 2026 Admit Card: Can You Change It?

You cannot change your CAT 2026 test centre after the admit card is released. The centre on your admit card is final, except in genuine emergencies decided by IIM Indore. The only routine chance to change your test city preference was the application correction window, which has closed.

• Check the distance and travel time to your allotted centre now.
• Report the centre to the helpdesk only if the centre does not match your admit card details or there is a genuine emergency.
• Report only to the centre named on your admit card, as entry at a different centre is not allowed.

What to Carry to the CAT 2026 Exam Centre

• A printed copy of the admit card on A4 paper. A digital copy is not accepted.
• One original valid photo ID that matches your admit card. The accepted ID list is printed on your admit card.
• Extra passport-size photos, as a precaution.
