IITs hold strong records in MBA ranking, investment placements, and return on investment (ROI). Low fees is also one of the key reasons why students choose MBA courses in IITs over well-known but private B-Schools. Seven out of 23 IITs offer multiple MBA programs through their respective Management Studies departments. All these seven institutes rank among India's top 50 MBA Institutes.

Update:  CAT 2020 notification was released on July 29 by IIM Indore . Exam is scheduled to take place on November 29, 2020. Check Details Here

    1. Admissions are done using the Common Admission Test (CAT) scores.
    2. While IIT Kharagpur, IIT Delhi, and IIT Bombay rank in the top 10 of the NIRF-MHRD ranking of India's best MBA institutes, the remaining four IITs rank in India's top 50 MBA institutes.
    3. Each of these seven IITs have their own CAT Cut off for admissions. It is important that before applying to them, the cutoffs are checked.

    Benefits of MBA from IITs

There are several reasons why MBA from IITs must be considered; a few of them are mentioned below:

    1. The minimum CAT percentile needed for admission to IITs is substantially lower than that necessary for IIMs and other leading MBA colleges in the country. For instance, IIT Delhi MBA cut off is 98 percentile while IIT Bombay MBA cut off is 97 percentile. This is far below the cut off for IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Lucknow, Indore, and others.
    2. NIRF-MHRD ranks IIT Kharagpur (rank 6), IIT Delhi (rank 9), IIT Bombay (rank 10), IIT Roorkee (rank 11), IIT Madras (rank 15), IIT Kanpur (rank 22), and IIT-ISM Dhanbad (rank 32) offering MBA to be among the 50 MBA institutes in India (2019).
    3. Niche, upcoming MBA specializations like Business Analytics (IIT-ISM Dhanbad) and MBA Telecom (IIT Delhi) are provided by the IITs.
