How to Create CAT Login 2026?

Students appearing in CAT 2026 for the first time must create a new account on iimcat.ac.in before they can fill the application form — existing users from previous years must also re-register if their old credentials are no longer active. Follow the steps below to set up your login:

• Step 1 – Visit the official CAT 2026 website at iimcat.ac.in.
• Step 2 – Click on "New Registration" or "Register Here" on the homepage.
• Step 3 – Enter your full name (exactly as on your government-issued ID), valid email ID, and active mobile number in the registration form.
• Step 4 – Create a User ID and Password. The password must be 8–20 characters long and include at least one uppercase letter (A–Z), one lowercase letter (a–z), one digit (0–9), and one special character (!, @, #, $, %, etc.).
• Step 5 – Enter the CAPTCHA code displayed on the screen and click "Submit".
• Step 6 – An OTP is sent to both your registered mobile number and email ID to verify your contact details.
• Step 7 – Enter the OTP to complete verification. Your CAT 2026 login account is now created and active.
• Step 8 – Log in immediately using your new User ID and Password to begin filling the application form.

Use an email address and mobile number that you actively check — IIM Indore sends all official communications, including admit card availability alerts, result notifications, and IIM shortlist call letters, exclusively to your registered contact details.

What to do if you forget CAT Login details?

If you are unable to access your CAT 2026 portal because you have lost or forgotten your credentials, IIM Indore provides a self-service recovery mechanism on iimcat.ac.in — no helpdesk visit or written request is required. The two recovery scenarios are detailed below.

Forgot CAT 2026 Application Number / User ID

Students who cannot remember their CAT 2026 User ID can retrieve it instantly through the portal’s recovery flow:

Use the Forgot Password link on iimcat.ac.in to reset your CAT 2026 login password — your application data, uploaded documents, and fee payment status are all retained and will not be affected by the password reset:

• Step 1 – Visit iimcat.ac.in and click "Login".
• Step 2 – Click "Forgot User ID / Password" below the login fields.

CAT Login 2026 To Fill Online Application Form

The CAT 2026 application form is accessible through the login portal on iimcat.ac.in from August 3, 2026. Students must complete all four steps below and submit before September 15, 2026 (5:00 PM) — no applications are accepted after this deadline.

Step 1 – CAT 2026 Registration

• Log in to iimcat.ac.in with your User ID and Password (first-time users must create a new account — see "How to Create CAT Login" above).
• Fill in your personal details: full name (exactly as on government ID), date of birth, gender, nationality, and contact information.
• Enter your academic qualifications: undergraduate degree name, year of passing, percentage or CGPA, and institution name. Final-year students must enter their expected graduation year and percentage.
• Provide work experience details if applicable: employer name, designation, sector, and total duration in months.
• Select the IIMs and B-schools you wish to apply to through your CAT 2026 score.
• Choose up to three exam cities in order of preference for the November 29 exam — city allotment is subject to availability.

Step 2 - Uploading of Documents

After completing personal and academic details, scroll to the Documents Upload section and upload all required files as per IIM Indore’s specifications:

Step 3: Payment of Fees

• After uploading all documents, proceed to the Fee Payment section in your login dashboard.
• The application fee is Rs 2,700 for General, EWS, and NC-OBC students and Rs 1,350 for SC, ST, and PwBD students.
• Pay online using Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI — no offline or demand-draft payments are accepted.
• Save the payment confirmation page and transaction ID as proof that your application fee has been successfully paid.
• The CAT 2026 application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances, including withdrawal of application.

Step 4: Download the Confirmation Page

• Once payment is successful, your dashboard displays a Registration Confirmation Page containing your Application Number, registered name, test city preferences, chosen programmes, and payment details.
• Download and print this page — it is the official record of your completed CAT 2026 application.

CAT Login 2026 For Online Form Correction

IIM Indore provides a Form Correction Window from September 24 to 27, 2026 — this is the only post-submission opportunity to fix errors in your application before the admit card is generated.
