    Indian Institute of Management, Rohtak (IIM Rohtak), is one of the first IIM in North India and the only in the National Capital Region. IIM Rohtak has released the Final admission Result 2020 for PGP 2020-22 batch along with the waiting list this time. Offers for the admission have been sent to the selected candidates. IIM Rohtak scheduled its WAT & PI round in the month of February 2020 after CAT Results were declared on January 4, 2020.

    This year the institute has marked some changes in the admission process. Some of the major ones are:

    • The changes in the weightage of the merit list. Admission criteria of IIM Rohtak 2020 is the sectional cutoff of the general category which went from 80 to 70 this year.

    • IIM Rohtak has its own selection procedure apart from the Common Admission Process (CAP)

    • The IIM Rohtak admission criteria is a 5 stage process from registration of the shortlisted candidates to the joining of the programme.

    • IIM Rohtak has introduced Sports management programme in collaboration with Ulster University, UK. Applications for 2 year masters programme is avialbel till July 31, 2020.

    IIM Rohtak shortlisted the candidates on the basis of CAT score, and other parameters for final selection round as under:

    • Candidates selected for IIM Rohtak as one of their preferences in the CAT 2019 form, will be invited for online registration for PGP Admission process 2020.

    • Shortlisted candidates will receive an email with a link for online registration. Candidates need to create their unique Login ID which will include user name & password for online registration.

    • Candidates need to submit an application form along with registration fee of Rs. 2000/-.

    • Those who will submit the application forms and registration fees by the mentioned date and time, will be considered and invited for the Written Analysis & Personal Interview (WAT &PI) in Stage-II.

    • Shortlisting for final selection round in IIM Rohtak Admission Criteria gives maximum weight to CAT 2019 score.

    • Candidate must score minimum sectional percentile of 70 in each of the three sections of CAT 2019 – Quantitative Aptitude' (QA), ‘Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning' (DILR) and ‘Verbal and Reading Comprehension' (VRC)

    • Minimum overall percentile of 95 in CAT 2019 must be scored by candidates for the admission.

    • Candidates who fail to score the minimum prescribed percentile in CAT 2019, will not be considered for shortlisting for the final selection stage.

    • All candidates shortlisted for the PA process will have to attend both WAT and PI.

    IIM Rohtak PGP Selection Criteria

    Admission process of IIM Rohtak will be conducted in two phases.

    In the first phase candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of CAT cutoff.

    Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for Written Ability Test and Personal Interview.

    In the final phase candidates will be shortlisted for admission to PGP programmes of IIM Rohtak on the basis of following parameters and weightage of each parameter.

    Admission process includes various stages which need to be followed by the candidates for the selection.

    Stages of Selection

    The selection process is divided into 5 stages including:

    Stage I: Candidates need to register at IIM Rohtak by creating a unique login Id and password and should submit an application form along with registration fee of Rs. 2000/-.

    Stage II: Short-lists of candidates are prepared category wise for Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT) from among the candidates who have a valid CAT-2019 score and satisfy the eligibility criteria for the programme of IIM Rohtak.

    Stage III: Candidates need to attend PI & WAT round for the final selection process. Candidates not meeting the minimum score in PI & WAT will not be considered for the final selection.

    Stage IV: After the WAT & PI round, offers for admission are made by IIM Rohtak to candidates scoring marks above the cut off. The final selection is based on various steps which includes performance in CAT, performance in WAT & PI, academics, work experience, diversity among others.

    Stage V: Final Admission Offer will be made to the candidates on the basis of Final Merit Score and will be available on IIM Rohtak website. Candidates need to report for joining the PGP programme.

    How to Apply for PGP at IIM Rohtak?

    To apply for admission to the PGP in Management at IIM-R, the candidates must visit the official website of CAT.

    • Candidates need to register using a valid email id and password.
    • Login to the CAT website.
    • Candidates need to fill Personal Details followed by Academic Qualifications.
    • Mention the Work Experience which is required.
    • Select the Interview center which suits you best followed by the test center.
    • Then finally pay the fee.

    Application Fee: INR. 1900/- (INR. 950/- for reserved category candidates).


    Final Selection Process

    Candidates must score the minimum required percentile in CAT to be considered for the Shortlisting process.

    • Admission Criteria gives maximum weight to the CAT score in the final selection.
    • Candidate must score minimum sectional percentile of 80 in each of the three sections of CAT
      • Quantitative Aptitude (QA)
      • Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR)
      • Verbal and Reading Comprehension (VRC)
    • Candidates under General Category must score a minimum overall percentile of 95 in CAT.
    Note: Candidates not fulfilling the above points will not be considered for the shortlisting process.

    Candidates who qualify the CAT exam with required score will be eligible to participate in Personal Appearance (PA) round for admission to IIM Rohtak.

    • Final Selection Round comprises of a Personal Interview followed by a Writing Ability Test.
    • The weighted aggregate of the following components will be used to prepare a merit list-
      • CAT
      • WAT
      • PI
      • Diversity
    • Minimum cut off will be applied to WAT & PI components.
    • Candidates who do not obtain minimum scores in the WAT
      & PI will not be considered for the merit list.

    After the WAT & PI round, admission offers are made to successful candidates.

    Category wise merit list will be generated based on weightage allocated to various components.

    The offer of admission to the candidate will be made strictly on the basis of merit list and availability of seats in each category.

    Offer Acceptance

    • All the shortlisted candidates will be informed to download their offer letters for provisional admission by signing using their Id and password.
    • The qualified candidates must accept the offer within the stipulated date and must deposit the Offer Acceptance Amount through the online payment link.
    • Candidates may withdraw the Offer Acceptance within the withdrawal date specified in the Offer Letter.
      Candidate waitlisted for the final selection is required to pay a waitlist Amount of INR. 20000/-.
