NEET 2027 Eligibility Criteria

Academic Qualification
- You must have passed or be appearing in Class 12 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology as core subjects.
- General and EWS students need a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in PCB in Class 12.
- SC, ST and OBC-NCL students need 40% marks; PwD students of General category need 45% marks.
Age Limit
- You must be at least 17 years of age as on December 31, 2027.
- There is no upper age limit for NEET UG as per current NTA guidelines.
Nationality and Attempts
- Indian nationals, NRIs, OCIs, PIOs and foreign nationals are eligible to apply.

How to Apply for NEET 2027
The NEET 2027 application process is entirely online at neet.nta.nic.in. Complete your registration before December 15, 2026 to avoid last-minute issues.
- Visit neet.nta.nic.in and click the "NEET UG 2027 Application Form" link on the homepage.
- Register using your name, date of birth, mobile number and email ID. Note the system-generated Application Number.
- Fill the form with personal details, academic background, exam centre preference and category or reservation details.
- Upload documents — recent passport-size photograph (10–200 KB, JPG/JPEG), signature (4–30 KB, JPG/JPEG), Class 10 certificate and left-hand thumb impression.
- Pay the application fee through net banking, credit or debit card or UPI via the official NTA payment gateway. Download the payment confirmation.
- Submit and save the confirmation page for your records. No hard copy needs to be sent to NTA.
Keep your Application Number and password safe. You will need them to download your admit card and check your result.
