NEET 2019 Exam Dates (Released): Check Revised Schedule

NEET Exam Dates 2019 was released on July 7, 2018. NTA has extended the registration dates for NEET 2019. Intermediate graduates with a minimum of 50% marks can apply online till December 7 (extended). As per the latest notification, students older than 25 can take NEET 2019 as well.  Register Now!

From 2019 onwards, the National Testing Agency will regulate NEET Exam. CBSE will no longer hold the exam, conducted for admissions to various MBBS and BDS courses offered at medical and dental colleges in India.

  • This year, the examination is scheduled for May 5, 2019 on a single day. 
  • The exam will be conducted in nearly 150 cities across India. Check Exam Centers for NEET

NEET 2019 Notification

The notification for NEET 2019, containing all important dates and details was released by NTA at its official website on July 7. The last date to register for the exam is December 7 (extended). Qualified candidates will be called for NEET Counselling from June 12 onwards.

The notification for NEET 2019 has been released on July 7, 2019. NEET 2019 Application Form will be released from November 1, 2018. The last date to submit the application form will be December 7. Application correction will be done from December 2018.

NEET Exam Dates 2019

  • NEET 2019 exam will be organized on May 5, 2019.
  • Successfully registered candidates can get their NEET Admit Card from April 15, 2019 onwards.
  • Students are able to check the answer key within a week after the completion of the examination.

NEET 2019 Result and Counselling Dates

  • NEET 2019 Result can be checked on June 5, 2019.
  • The NEET Cut Off will be published along with result.
  • NEET Counselling will be started in the second week of July 2019.
  • Candidates who opted for All India Quota Counselling need to register themselves for online counselling on the official website of MCC, comprising 2 rounds.
  • Seats will be allotted as per the candidates’ category, rank and NEET Cut off.
  • For State Quota, candidates must contact their respective state counselling authority.
  • If the candidates do not claim their seat within the stipulated duration, it will be allotted to the next candidate waiting in the list and they will not be eligible for further rounds of counselling.

NEET 2019 Exam Dates FAQs

Ques.  Who conducts NEET and is it online or offline in 2019?

Ans. From 2019 onwards, NTA will conduct NEET in offline mode.

Ques. What are the maximum marks in NEET exam?

Ans. Each question in NEET will have 4 marks. Therefore, maximum marks in the exam are 720.

Ques. Is there a provision of negative marking for incorrect questions in NEET?

Ans. Yes, for each incorrect response, 1 mark will be deducted from your total score.

Ques. Is there negative marking for un-attempted questions?

Ans. No, there is not negative marking for leaving questions. No mark will be added to or deducted from your score for leaving any question.

Ques. How much time will I be given to complete the exam?

Ans. You will be given 3 hours (180 minutes) to complete the exam.

Ques. Are there any sectional time limits in NEET?

Ans. No, there are no such sectional limits in NEET. You can spend any amount of time (from total time given) on any particular section or question.

Ques. How many questions will be there in the exam?

Ans. NEET will have a total of 180 questions.

Ques.  What subjects do I need to prepare for the exam?

Ans. You need to prepare Phyiscs, Chemistry & Biology(Zoology &Botany) subjects for the NEET exam.

Ques.  I am physically challenged, what is my exam duration in NEET?

Ans. NEET exam paper will be of 3 hours duration, for PH students it is 3.5 hours.

Ques.  Can I change the option of language once the form is submitted?

Ans. Option once exercised, cannot be changed after submission of application form. As centers will be allotted based on medium of question paper, candidates need to be very careful in choosing of medium of question paper.
