NEET Syllabus 2027: Subject-Wise Topics, Topic Wise Weightage and PDF Download

NEET 2027 Syllabus has not yet been officially released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) or the National Medical Commission (NMC). The NMC prescribes the NEET UG syllabus; NTA conducts the exam at neet.nta.nic.in. Students preparing for NEET 2027 should follow the current NMC-prescribed syllabus — the same as NEET 2026 — until NTA publishes a formal 2027 notification. That notification is expected between December 2026 and February 2027.

• The NEET 2027 syllabus covers 3 subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology).
• The exam carries 720 marks across 180 questions — 45 each for Physics and Chemistry, and 90 for Biology.
• The official NEET 2027 syllabus is not yet released. The NMC-prescribed 2026 syllabus remains the current reference.
• In NEET Physics, Mechanics and Electrodynamics together account for roughly 50% of the 45 Physics questions.
• In NEET Chemistry, Physical Chemistry units — Equilibrium, Thermodynamics, Chemical Kinetics, and Electrochemistry — carry the highest question frequency.
• The NEET Biology syllabus (Botany + Zoology) is worth 360 marks — equal to Physics and Chemistry combined.
• NCERT Class 11 and 12 textbooks are the primary source for NEET. Chapters excluded by the NMC — such as States of Matter, Solid State, and Surface Chemistry — do not appear in NEET.
