NEET Registration: The application form for NEET 2018 were available for filling till March 12, 2018. The online form was available at the official portal of NEET i.e. www.cbseneet.nic.in. A one time form correction facility was provided between March 15 to March 17. NEET 2018 concluded on May 6, 2018. As per the experts and the test takers, the difficulty level of exam was moderate to difficult.

About NEET 2019
The National Testing Agency or NTA will organise NEET, JEE Main and other entrance exams under the CBSE from the year 2019 onwards. The exams will be conducted twice a year in online mode (computer-based test). The medical examination will be conducted in February and May. With this, the participation is likely to rise if both the session numbers are combined. This step will not only reduce the burden from CBSE’s shoulders but will also give more chances to the medical aspirants. Tabulated below is NEET 2019 exam schedule by NTA:

Are you eligible to fill NEET Application Form?

It is imperative to check the eligibility criteria before filing NEET Online Form since your candidature will be cancelled if, at any stage, you’re found ineligible,

  1. Age Limit 

Minimum Age Limit – 17 years of age by December 31, 2018. 

Maximum Age Limit – for general category candidates is 25 years and for reserved categories, it is 30 years.

  • Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs)

  1. Educational Qualification

  • Intermediate graduates (10+2) or appearing for class 12 exam are eligible to appear for NEET exam.
  • Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology are mandatory subjects in class 12.
  • Minimum percentile required for each category in the qualifying examination is tabulated below:

How to fill NEET Application Form 2018?

Candidates must keep the following Documents Required for NEET Application Form ready before they register themselves for the exam:

  1. 10th class marksheet
  2. 12th class marksheet
  3. Scanned copy of candidate’s passport sized photograph
  4. Scanned copy of candidate’s signature
  5. Valid ID proof
  • For Applicants from Assam, Meghalaya and Jammu & Kashmir: Ration card no. or bank account number is accepted. For Foreign candidates, Passport Number is a valid ID Proof.

Step-by-Step Guide to Fill NEET Application Form

Filling the NEET application form consists of four simple steps as indicated below:

Step 1 – Registration

The first step is to generate NEET Registration Number and Password. This can be down by following these steps -

  1. Visit the official website www.cbseneet.nic.in and click on the ‘New Registration’ link.

  2. Read the instructions carefully and click on ‘Apply Online’. The details to be filled in the application form are as follows –

Note:Once you click on ‘Final Submit’, you will not be allowed to change any details. Therefore, candidates are advised to review their application form carefully.

Step 2 – Uploading Photo and Signature

Post successful filling of application form, you will be issued NEET Login credentials. Enter the same and sign in again to complete NEET Application Form.

Next step is scanning and uploading Photo and Signature in the form as per the Guidelines for Uploading of Photo & Sign in NEET Form. A brief about the specifications are as follows:

Step 3 – Payment of NEET Application Fee

  • After filling the form, candidates have to pay the application fee through UPI App/ Debit card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking/ E-wallet
  • The application fee of NEET 2018 is INR 1400 for general & OBC candidates and INR 750 for SC/ ST/ PH candidates.

In addition to examination fee, service/processing charges will also be paid by the candidate along with Service Tax, for online fee payment.
– After final submission of fee, the form cannot be withdrawn. Any claims for refund of application fee will not be entertained.  

Step 4- Confirmation Page

  • If your application status shows ‘Confirmed’, it means your application is accepted by the exam authorities.
  • Take a print out of NEET Application Form as well as of the confirmation page.

How to Resize Images Using MS paint?

Candidates can follow these steps to resize and compress scanned images of their photograph and signature through MS Paint, to the desired specifications mentioned in NEET official notification. 

  • Click on the “” key and search for paint
  • Open ‘MS Paint’ in your computer
  • Press ‘Ctrl+O’ and browse to the scanned images of your photograph/signature.
  • Now, press ‘Ctrl+W’ to open “Resize and Skew” window

  • Enter the specified pixels mentioned in notification for Photograph/Signature
  • Go to File tab and click on “Save As”
  • Choose ‘JPG/JPEG’ format and save the image in the desired location on your desktop.

How to make correction in NEET Application Form?

To facilitate NEET form correction in the online forms, CBSE will provide a one-time facility on the official site through candidate login from March 12 to March 16, 2018. 

The following fields can be modified by providing valid supporting documents.

  • State Code of Eligibility
  • Medium of Question Paper
  • Disability Status

How to Retrieve NEET credentials?

In case you forget your credentials for NEET, do not panic follow these simple steps to retrieve the particulars.

  1. Visit official website and go to candidate log in.
  2. Click on ‘Forgot Password’.
  3. You will be redirected to the password generation page.
  4. Reset your password by generating an OTP or by answering the security question.
  5. Fill up the fields and enter your new password.

NEET Application Form – Important Points

  • Aadhaar Card is mandatory to fill NEET Application Form
  • Application once submitted cannot be withdrawn under any circumstances.
  • It is advised to save Bank Statement/ Net Banking Transaction Receipt/ E-wallet receipt having NEET Registration No. for future references.
  • There’s no facility for offline payment of the application fee. CBSE will not accept any DD/ Cheque or Cash for the online application.
  • If you have made any corrections in the form, take a print out for future reference.
  • If you have changed your category during the correction of the Application Form, you will have to pay the extra fee, if applicable.

NEET 2018 FAQs

Ques. Can we submit the application form for NEET offline?

Ans. No. Submission of NEET Application form and payment of Application fee can be done via online mode only. For any kind of assistance regarding the filling, submission of payment of fee, candidates can contact the nearest Common Services Center.

Ques. Can we attach the photo without name and date printed on it?

Ans. It is mandatory to have the candidate’s name and date of clicking the picture on the passport sized photograph. Take multiple copies of the photograph since the same will be required for the Admit Card and throughout the admission process.

Ques. If a candidate is not appearing for the exam, can the application fee be refunded?

Ans. No. The Application Fee is non refundable, irrespective of whether the candidate sits for the exam or not.

Ques. Are any corrections allowed in the application form?

Ans. CBSE will release the dates for correction of application form. They can make the changes within the stipulated time frame. After that, no further changes can be made.

Ques. Can OCI candidates appear for NEET 2018 if they don’t have an Aadhar Card?

Ans. Yes. For such candidates, Passport details will be required instead of Aadhar Card.

Ques. Do we need to send a hard copy of the Application Form to CBSE’s office?

Ans. No documents must be sent to CBSE. The entire Application process will be conducted online.

Ques.  I have failed in one subject but my average is above 50%, Can I apply?

Ans. No, if you have failed in one subject you cannot apply.

Ques.  I am an NRI in Dubai and how can I apply for general seat for NRI?

Ans. NRI candidates are eligible to apply for a general seat. They can also apply for All India Quota. The ID Proof required would be their passport.

Ques. What is the maximum age limit for OBC?

Ans. 30 years.

Ques. My name on Aadhaar card is different than that on the 12th mark sheet, will I face a problem for verification or not?

Ans. The name should match on both documents.

Ques. My DOB is 30th January 1993. Am I eligible for NEET exam?

Ans. Yes. Age limit for General Category is 25 years and for reserved categories it is 30 years..

Ques. Are foreign nationals, Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), Non Resident Indians (NRIs) and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) candidates eligible to apply for 15% all India quota seats?

Ans. Yes, all foreign nationals, Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), Non Resident Indians (NRIs) and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) candidates are eligible to apply for 15% all India quota seats. They will have to show their passport No. as ID Proof.

Ques.  If a candidate has appeared in state as well as institutional level exams three times, but hasn't appeared in AIPMT/NEET even once, will they be eligible to appear for NEET 2018?

Ans. Yes, if a candidate has never appeared for AIPMT/NEET, then they can avail a maximum of three chances to appear in NEET provided they also fulfil the upper age limit criteria.

Ques. I live outside India and do not possess an Aadhaar Card, Can I apply for NEET 2018?

Ans. Candidates outside India may apply using their passport number.

Ques. I have recently submitted the request for update in their Aadhaar details due to some error, can I fill my NEET application form with the old Aadhaar number?

Ans. Yes, you can apply for NEET. While submitting the updating details, the Aadhaar center also issues a 14 digit Aadhaar enrollment ID/UR number printed on the slip. You will be required to enter this new number.

Ques.  In case of any problem in filling the NEET 2018 Application Form? Who can be approached?

Ans. If the candidates are facing any problem in submitting the NEET 2018 Application Form, they can contact Common Services Centers. They will act as Facilitation Centers this time and provide their services against the fee prescribed.

Ques. If a candidate has passed class XII with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from NIOS, is he/she eligible to appear for NEET-UG?

Ans. Yes, the applicants who have passed 10+2 from open school with 50% and fulfil the other eligibility criteria can apply and appear for NEET 2018.

Ques. When will NEET 2018 application form be available?

Ans. The application form for NEET 2018 is now available at www.cbseneet.nic.in. The entire application procedure will be conducted in online mode only.

Ques. What documents are of importance while filling NEET Application Form 2018?

Ans. Candidates must keep their 10th and 12th marksheet close by while filling the form. They will also be required to upload scanned copies of their passport sized photograph and signature.

Ques.  How many time can I appear for NEET? Has CBSE removed the attempts limit for CBSE NEET?

Ans. Yes, the number of attempts limit has been removed by CBSE. Now, you can appear for CBSE NEET as many times as you wish to till the time you satisfy the NEET Eligibility.

Ques. What are some precautions to keep in mind while filling application form of NEET 2018?

Ans. Candidates must keep their login passwords of NEET safe with them and not share it with anyone. It is a good habit to keep changing your password and always remember to logout from the NEET portal after you update, fill or submit the application form of NEET 2018 as per security measure. Before submitting the form, check all the details carefully since they cannot be changed later.

Ques. Is it permissible to change or retrieve the password of NEET application form 2018? How?

Ans. Yes. It is possible to retrieve the password of NEET. In case a candidate forgets the password, he/she can retrieve the same through the following steps:

Through OTP (One Time Password) on Registered Mobile Number: Candidates will need to enter their ‘Registration Number’, ‘Candidate’s Name’ and ‘Date of Birth’.

Answering the Security Question set while registering: Candidate can also retrieve the password by answering a bunch of security question.

Forgot Mobile number and Email ID: In order to retrieve the password through this method, candidates will need have to enter personal details.

Ques. How can I fill the NEET application form 2018 and pay the application fee if I don’t have any access to internet?

Ans. CBSE will be employing the help of ‘Common Service Centers’ or ‘Facilitation Centers’ through which candidates who don’t have an access to internet can fill and submit their application forms of NEET 2018. Candidates who fill NEET 2018 application form through Common Service Centers will be required to pay the application fee of NEET 2018 through e-wallets. A nominal fee will be charged for every service.

Ques. How to calculate your age for application?

Ans. You can calculate your age through online Age Calculator for NEET 2018. The age calculator gives your age as per your DOB and the date on which you want to calculate. Set the date December 31, 2018 for the date you want to calculate the age.

Ques. What is the application fee category wise?

Ans. For General/OBC - INR 1400

For SC/ST/PH - INR 750

Ques. When will CBSE release NEET 2018 Application Form Replica?

CBSE releases a replica of NEET Application form which contains all steps to apply or register online for the examination. It contains images of how to fill the form and upload the documents step-wise. This provision has been followed by the authorities in past years and is expected to be continued. NEET Application Form Replica will be released in PDF format shortly. 

Ques. Are spectacles allowed in the photograph being affixed on the form?

Ans. Spectacles are allowed if being used regularly.

i am an nri. i am filling neet form . so should i write down my permanent adress according to aadhaar card or passport ? The permanent address in aadhaar card is more well written whilst that in my passport is a little cut short. what address should i give plus are odisha muslims a minority ?

I cant upload my photo on the online form......its saying "Face Recognition Failed Or Find Multiple Faces"...... i tried changing the size og the image from 50kb to 13kb.... but still the same....signature pic is accepted for 16kb
