    NEET 2021 Application Forms are expected to be released in the first week of December 2020. The application forms for 2021 will be made available in an online mode only and all the eligible candidates who have passed 10+2 in PCB with 50% marks will be able to apply for the exam.     Candidates will be required to fill in the details carefully in the application form like education, personal, communication, etc. The application for NEET 2021 will be around INR 1500 for GN category which can be paid online.     How to Fill NEET Online Application?

    Filling the NEET application form consists of four simple steps as indicated below:

    Step 1 – Registration

    The first step is to generate your login credentials i.e. NEET Registration Number and Password. This can be down by following these steps -

    • Visit the official website and click on the ‘New Registration’ link.

    • Read the instructions carefully and click on ‘Apply Online’. The details to be filled in the application form are as follows –

    Note:Once you click on ‘Final Submit’, you will not be allowed to change any details. Therefore, candidates are advised to review their application form carefully.

    Step 2 – Uploading Scanned Images

    • Post successful filling of application form, you will be issued NEET Login credentials. Enter the same and sign in again to complete NEET Application Form.
    • Next step is scanning and uploading Passport size, Post Card size Photo, Signature, Left hand thumb impression and Class X Passing Certificate in the form as per the Guidelines for Uploading of Photo & Sign in NEET Form. A brief about the specifications are as follows:

    In case of any eventuality of left-hand thumb impression being unavailable, right-hand thumb impression can be used.

    Step 3 – Payment of NEET Application Fee

    • After filling the form, candidates have to pay the application fee through UPI App/ Debit card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking/ E-wallet
    • Service/processing charges per transaction & GST (applicable @18%) to be paid by the candidate.
    • The application fee of NEET 2021 is INR 1500 for General candidates. For General – EWS & OBC candidates, the application fees is INR 1400 and INR 800 for SC/ ST/ PwD and transgender candidates.

    – 
    In addition to examination fee, service/processing charges will also be paid by the candidate along with Service Tax, for online fee payment.
    – After final submission of fee, the form cannot be withdrawn. Any claims for refund of application fee will not be entertained.  

    Step 4- Download Confirmation Page

    • If your application status shows ‘Confirmed’, it means your application is accepted by the exam authorities.
    • Take a print out of NEET 2021 Application Form as well as of the confirmation page.

    NTA will release the official notification about the reopening of the Form correction facility. Candidates will be able access the application form correction option from the official website through their login credentials.

    Step 1: Visit the official website

    Step 2: Click on the Candidates Login Link provided on the left-hand side of the portal.

    Step 3: Edit the details and click on "Preview and Submit"

    Step 4: Make Payment for your changes, only if applicable for that particular change. 

    Step 5: Take a print out of the correct form for future references.  


    Check List for Filling NEET 2021 Application Form

    Candidates must ensure the following details after completing NEET 2021 Registration:

    • Eligibility Criteria for NEET 2021 must be met by the candidate. 
    • Correct choosing of gender from male/female/transgender categories. 
    • Correct selection of Category from General/ General – EWS/OBC-NCL/SC/ST correctly. 
    • Candidates from the PwD category must fill the relevant column in the online application form. 
    • Candidates must keep a printout of the confirmation page. 

    How to Resize Images Using MS paint?

    Candidates often face the issue of unacceptable image size, they can follow these steps to resize and compress scanned images of their photograph and signature through MS Paint, to the desired specifications mentioned in NEET official notification. 

    1. Click on the “” key and search for paint
    2. Open ‘MS Paint’ in your computer
    3. Press ‘Ctrl+O’ and browse to the scanned images of your photograph/signature.
    4. Now, press ‘Ctrl+W’ to open “Resize and Skew” window

    2. Enter the specified pixels mentioned in notification for Photograph/Signature
    3. Go to File tab and click on “Save As”
    4. Choose ‘JPG/JPEG’ format and save the image in the desired location on your desktop.

    What if you forget your NEET Application Login?

    In case you forget your credentials for NEET Application Login, do not panic follow these simple steps to retrieve the particulars.

    1. Visit official website and go to candidate log in.
    2. Click on ‘Forgot Password’.
    3. You will be redirected to the password generation page.
    4. Reset your password by generating an OTP or by answering the security question.
    5. Fill up the fields and enter your new password.

    NEET 2021 Application Form FAQs 

    Ques. Are any corrections allowed in NEET 2021 application form?

    Ans. Yes. NTA will open NEET 2021 Application Form Correction Window. Candidates can make the changes within the stipulated time frame. Candidates can correct only these details: Mother’s Name, Father’s Name, Gender, Category, Person with Disability, State Code of Eligibility, Nationality

    Ques. Can we submit the application form for NEET offline?

    Ans. No. Submission of NEET Application form and payment of Application fee can be done via online mode only. For any kind of assistance regarding the filling, submission of payment of fee, candidates can contact the nearest Common Services Center.

    Ques. What is the age limit for appearing in NEET 2021? How many attempts are allowed?

    Ans. It is mandatory that the candidate has achieved the age of 17 years by December 31, 2021. The upper age limit for NEET has been removed. There are no restrictions on the number of attempts also, a candidate can sit for NEET any number of times if they fulfill the rest of the NEET eligibility criteria. However, the candidature of candidates appearing who are more than 25 years of an age is subject to the orders of Supreme Court. 

    Ques. Is it permissible to change or retrieve the password of NEET application form 2021? How?

    Ans. Yes. It is possible to retrieve the password of NEET. In case a candidate forgets the password, he/she can retrieve the same through the following steps:

    Through OTP (One Time Password) on Registered Mobile Number: Candidates will need to enter their ‘Registration Number’, ‘Candidate’s Name’ and ‘Date of Birth’.

    Answering the Security Questionset while registering: Candidates can also retrieve the password by answering a bunch of security questions.

    Forgot Mobile number and Email ID: In order to retrieve the password through this method, candidates will need to have to enter personal details.

    Ques. Can we attach the photo without name and date printed on it?

    Ans. It is mandatory to have the candidate’s name and date of clicking the picture on the passport-sized photograph. Take multiple copies of the photograph since the same will be required for the Admit Card and throughout the admission process.

    Ques. If a candidate is not appearing for the exam, can the application fee be refunded?

    Ans. No, the Application Fee is non-refundable, irrespective of whether the candidate sits for the exam or not.

    Ques. Can OCI candidates appear for NEET 2021 if they don’t have an Aadhar Card?

    Ans. Yes, for such candidates, Passport details will be required instead of Aadhar Card.

    Ques. Do we need to send a hard copy of the Application Form to NTA’s office?

    Ans. No documents must be sent to NTA. The entire application process will be conducted online.

    Ques.  I have failed in one subject but my average is above 50%, Can I apply?

    Ans. No, if you have failed in one subject you cannot apply.

    Ques.  I am an NRI in Dubai and how can I apply for general seat for NRI?

    Ans. NRI candidates are eligible to apply for a general seat. They can also apply for All India Quota. The ID Proof required would be their passport.

    Ques. My name on Aadhaar card is different than that on the 12th mark sheet, will I face a problem for verification or not?

    Ans. For verification, your name should match on both documents. 

    Ques. Are foreign nationals, Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) candidates eligible to apply for 15% all India quota seats?

    Ans. Yes, all foreign nationals, Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) candidates are eligible to apply for 15% all India quota seats. They will have to show their passport No. as ID Proof.

    Ques. If a candidate has appeared in state as well as institutional level exams three times, but hasn't appeared in AIPMT/NEET even once, will they be eligible to appear for NEET 2021?

    Ans. Yes, if a candidate has never appeared for AIPMT/NEET, then they can avail a maximum of three chances to appear in NEET provided they also fulfil the upper age limit criteria.

    Ques. I live outside India and do not possess an Aadhaar Card, Can I apply for NEET 2021?

    Ans. Candidates outside India may apply using their passport number.

    Ques. I have recently submitted the request for an update in their Aadhaar details due to some error, can I fill my NEET application form with the old Aadhaar number?

    Ans. Yes, you can apply for NEET. While submitting the updating details, the Aadhaar center also issues a 14 digit Aadhaar enrollment ID/UR number printed on the slip. You will be required to enter this new number.

    Ques.  In case of any problem in filling the online form? Who can be approached?

    Ans. If the candidates are facing any problem in submitting the NEET 2021 Application Form, they can contact Common Services Centers. They will act as Facilitation Centers this time and provide their services against the fee prescribed.

    Ques. If a candidate has passed class XII with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from NIOS, is he/she eligible to appear for NEET-UG?

    Ans. Yes, the applicants who have passed 10+2 from open school with 50% and fulfil the other eligibility criteria can apply and appear for NEET 2021.

    Ques. When will NEET 2021 application form be available?

    Ans. The application form for NEET 2021 will be available from January 2021 at nta.ac.in. The entire application procedure will be conducted in online mode only.

    Ques. What documents are of importance while filling NEET Application Form 2021?

    Ans. Candidates must keep their 10th and 12th marksheet close by while filling the form. They will also be required to upload scanned copies of their passport sized photograph and signature.

    Ques.  How many time can I appear for NEET? Has the regulating body removed the attempts limit for NTA NEET?

    Ans. Yes, the number of attempts limit has been removed by NTA. Now, you can appear for NEET as many times as you wish to till the time you satisfy the NEET Eligibility.

    Ques. What are some precautions to keep in mind while filling the application form of NEET 2021?

    Ans. Candidates must keep their login passwords of NEET safe with them and not share it with anyone. It is a good habit to keep changing your password and always remember to logout from the NEET portal after you update, fill or submit the application form of NEET 2021 as per security measure. Before submitting the form, check all the details carefully since they cannot be changed later.

    Ques. How can I fill the NEET application form 2021 and pay the application fee if I don’t have any access to the internet?

    Ans. NTA will be employing the help of ‘Common Service Centers’ or ‘Facilitation Centers’ through which candidates who don’t have access to the internet can fill and submit their application forms of NEET 2021. Candidates who fill NEET 2021 application form through Common Service Centers will be required to pay the application fee of NEET 2021 through e-wallets. A nominal fee will be charged for every service.

    Ques. How to calculate your age for application?

    Ans. You can calculate your age through online Age Calculator for NEET 2021. The age calculator gives your age as per your DOB and the date on which you want to calculate. Set the date December 31, 2021 for the date you want to calculate the age.

    Ques. What is the application fee category wise?

    Ans. NEET 2021 Application Fee for various categories is as follows:

    • General – INR 1500
    • For General- EWS /OBC - INR 1400
    • For SC/ST/PwD and Transgenders - INR 800

    Ques. When will NTA release NEET 2021 Application Form Replica? 

    Ans. NTA releases a replica of NEET Application form which contains all steps to apply or register online for the examination. It contains images of how to fill the form and upload the documents step-wise. This provision has been followed by the authorities in past years and is expected to be continued.     Ques. Are spectacles allowed in the photograph being affixed on the form?

    Ans. Spectacles are allowed if being used regularly.

    Hi, In order to be eligible for NEET 2020, candidates must qualify 12th class examination with Chemistry, Biology, Physics and English subjects. For General category candidates, it is mandatory to score 50% marks in 12th grade, whereas SC/ST/OBC category candidates must score 40% marks to become eligible for NEET 2020.
