NTA NEET Result 2024 released on June 4 has raised tremendous questions among the students. This year, a total of 67 candidates scored a perfect score of 720 in NEET 2024. Out of these 67 candidates, 44 students attempted one physics question wrong, however got the grace marks. NEET 2024 question paper was unobjectionable except for one physics question.
According to NTA, the one physics question in NEET 2024 had an error and hence grace marks are awarded to students who have attempted the question. The objectionable physics question had two statements with four answer choices. NEET 2024 was conducted on May 5 in 4750 exam centres with a strength of 22 lakh candidates.

What is Grace Marks in NEET 2024?
Grace Marks are the additional marks given to the candidates who got lesser time to complete NEET 2024 examination. However, grace marks have also been awarded to candidates who have attempted the faulty physics question. According to the media, the grace marks in NEET 2024 awarded to candidates who got less time will not be accountable anymore. These candidates may retake the test or have to accept the raw marks scored in NEET on May 5, 2024. The grace marks will only be acceptable for the candidates who have attempted the erroneous physics question.

As per the old NCERT, option 3 is the correct choice. However, according to the new NCERT, option 1 is the correct choice. Many arguments have been made and requests for bonus marks have been submitted. NTA will be forming a panel to review the papers of 1500 students. All students who have attempted this question might get awarded grace marks.
