How to Get Admission in Lady Hardinge Medical College?

Admission to MBBS & BDS Courses Offered by Lady Hardinge Medical College is done on the basis of NEET 2018 score. Only those candidates who clear NEET 2018 cut off will be eligible for the admission. If we talk about a good score to bag a seat in LHMC college, that would be around 530+ (Delhi Quota).

NEET 2018 is scheduled for May 6, 2018. According to Supreme Court’s directive, NEET has replaced All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) as well as other state level medical test. So, admission to all the government, private and deemed medical/dental colleges will be done through NEET 2018 score.

LHMC Delhi Admission Procedure

Candidates are required to clear NEET 2018 cut off to get admission in Lady Hardinge Medical College to pursue Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. They must carry NEET 2018 admit card and original certificates including NEET 2018 scorecard at the time of Counselling and Seat Allotment. 

If two or more candidates obtain equal marks in the exam, preference will be given to

  • Candidates obtaining higher marks in Biology/Bio-Technology in the NEET 2018.
  • Candidates obtaining higher marks in Chemistry in the NEET 2018
  • Candidates older in age.

LHMC Delhi Counselling Procedure

Female Candidates who clear NEET 2018 cut off would be called for counselling in the batch of 10 for seat allotment in MBBS/BDS in LHMC Delhi. The counselling of particular day will be closed after all the students have been counselled or on 2:30 pm. The detailed schedule of counselling will be made available on the official website of NEET.

What if the candidate is waitlisted or not present at the time of NEET Counselling?

  • Candidates who were present for counselling and were not offered any seat due to allotment of all seats before their turn of counselling, shall be waitlisted and will be required to submit their options in respect of course and college on the prescribed proforma.
  • The candidates who were absent on the specified date of counselling shall not be waitlisted. The candidates who have not opted any seat at the time of counselling shall also be waitlisted.
  • An undertaking is to be given by the candidate at the time of counselling to the affect that they have not pursuing MBBS/BDS courses anywhere in India. In case admitted/pursuing MBBS/ BDS Courses anywhere in India they will be required to produce cancellation certificate from the concerned College/Institution within 4 working days from the date of provisional allotment of seat.

LHMC Delhi Admission Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for bagging a seat in India’s 3rd Best Medical college one should fulfil the below mention criteria.

  • Age Limit- Candidate must be of minimum 17 years in age on or before December 31, 2018 and should not exceed 25 years as on December 31, 2018. For SC/ST/OBC candidates there is age relaxation of 5 years
  • Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian citizen or an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)
  • Academic Eligibility: A candidate who has either passed or his appearing in the 10+2 or any equivalent examination from a recognized board of education with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology as subjects of study is eligible. The candidates must also have scored a minimum of 50% marks in HSc. For reserved category (SC/ST/OBC) candidates, the minimum percentage required is 40%. Physically handicapped students from general category must have secured 45% marks.
