JEE Main 2027 Fresh Online Application Form: When Must Candidates Submit a New Registration?

NTA now allows a JEE Main 2027 fresh application form for Session 1, even after fee payment.

Its public notice dated October 30, 2026 sets the rules. Only the last form with a paid fee and a Confirmation Page will count.

• A fresh form gets a new Application Number. Photo, signature and documents must be uploaded again.
• The deadline is November 22, 2026 (11:50 PM). The late-fee window runs from November 23 to 26, 2026.
• NTA will neither refund nor adjust the fee paid on an earlier form.
• For small edits, NTA points candidates to the correction window, November 27 to 29, 2026.
• Session 1 applicants need no new form for Session 2. They log in with the same Application Number and pay again.

NTA issued the notice after candidates reported errors in submitted forms. It follows the Session 1 notice of October 24, 2026. The official notice runs to one page and lists 5 conditions.

• One test decides validity: the latest form with a successful fee and a Confirmation Page.
• As of October 31, 2026, 22 days remain to file a fresh form at the normal fee.
• A flat late fee of ₹500 applies from November 23 to 26, 2026 (Bulletin, p. 5).
• The fresh-form route shuts on November 26. The correction window opens a day later, on November 27.

When Must Candidates Submit a New JEE Main 2027 Registration?

A fresh form suits serious errors that the correction window may not fix. In most other cases, a log-in is enough. Read the JEE Main 2027 application process before you restart.

• NTA will publish the list of correctable fields only when the correction window goes live.
• One mobile number and one email can serve only one Application Form.
• Name and date of birth must match the Class 10 certificate.

A JEE aspirant on Reddit asked how to fix a wrong email in the JEE Main 2026 form.

The student confirmed the registration step with a wrong email address. The portal then moved them to the application stage, with no option to change it. They asked if they should create a new application form instead.

For 2027, the October 30 notice answers this doubt. The student can file a fresh Session 1 form with the correct email by November 22, 2026. Only that paid form will count.

JEE Main 2027 Session 2: Log In Again or Register Fresh?

• The bulletin lists the Session 2 form from January 5 to February 3, 2027. NTA's October 24 notice calls this schedule tentative.
• In 2026, the Session 2 form ran February 1–25 and reopened March 12–13 (NTA notice, 12.03.2026).
• NTA charges the fee per session. Paper 1 costs ₹1,000 for a General male candidate and ₹800 for a female candidate (Bulletin, p. 6).

Another aspirant on Reddit made a new form for April instead of using the January one.

The student created a new form for the April 2024 session. Their January login was not working at the time. In an update, the student wrote that NTA rejected the January form and considered the April one.

The 2027 bulletin avoids this risk. Session 1 applicants must use the same Application Number for Session 2. A duplicate made in good faith is settled by keeping the paid form (Bulletin, p. 12, point xi).

Two JEE Main 2027 Application Numbers: When Is It Unfair Means?

• The bulletin says no candidate may fill more than one Application Form (p. 7).
• The October 30 notice softens this. Merely holding 2 numbers is not unfair means (UFM).
• Appearing in more than one shift with false information can bring debarment for up to 3 years (Bulletin, p. 30, clause 8.10).

• The Session 2 form opens 44 days after the Session 1 deadline, if the bulletin dates hold.
• The Session 1 city intimation slip is due on December 30, 2026. The admit card follows on January 13, 2027.
