JEE Main 2027 Changes from 2026
NTA has introduced security upgrades and process improvements for JEE Main 2027 based on recommendations from the review committee formed after the 2024 paper irregularities. Candidates who appeared in JEE Main 2026 should take note of the following changes.
- Enhanced centre security: Biometric verification and expanded CCTV monitoring have been made mandatory at all JEE Main 2027 exam centres to prevent impersonation and other malpractices.
- Earlier city intimation: NTA will release the exam city intimation slip well in advance of the admit card, giving candidates more time to book travel and accommodation near their allotted centre.
- Upgraded registration portal: The jeemain.nta.nic.in portal has been updated with a faster interface and a dedicated technical helpdesk for candidates who face issues while filling the form.
- Syllabus alignment: The JEE Main 2027 syllabus continues to follow the revised NCERT curriculum. No new subjects or chapters have been added. Candidates should download the syllabus PDF from the official notification.
- NTA Score normalisation: The percentile-based NTA Score process is unchanged. The better of a candidate’s two session scores is used for the final JEE Main 2027 merit list and JEE Advanced 2027 cutoff calculation.
