State B.Tech Admissions Through JEE Main 2024: B.Tech courses Admissions in various states are now primarily based on JEE Main 2024 scores, as many states have discontinued their state-level engineering entrance exams. Each year, a large number of students take the JEE Main exam to secure admission to B.Tech programs. 

Admission to B.Tech admission through JEE Main on state-level is done on the basis of Home State Quota. Under Home State Quota, you should qualify the State of Eligibility. This means, if you have passed class 11 and 12 from your home state, you are eligible for the home state quota. Uttar Pradesh State B.Tech Admission based on JEE Main 2024

Eligibility Criteria for UPTAC: Applicants must have cleared the 10+2 examination from a recognized Board/University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one additional subject among Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Biology, or a Technical Vocational subject.

Application Process for UP B.Tech Admission 2024: Aspiring candidates need to complete the JEE Main application form. AKTU will commence the registration for direct counseling procedures. Students having a valid JEE Main score must register for UPTAC counseling. Seat allotment will be based on the ranks obtained in the JEE Main examination.

Haryana State B.Tech Admission through JEE Main 2024

• Kashmiri Migrants (KM) and Haryana Government School Toppers (HGST) are admitted based on inter-se-merit in the qualifying exam.
• Candidates must participate in online counseling conducted by Haryana State Technical Education Society to secure admission.

• Admission preference is given to candidates who completed their 10+2 education in Haryana or are bonafide residents of the state.
• Government/Government Aided/University Department admissions follow the state reservation policy during counseling, including 25% horizontal reservation for females.

Uttarakhand BTech Admissions through JEE Main 2024

Eligibility criteria for Uttarakhand B.Tech admissions requires Indian nationals to have attained a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Computer Science/Biology/Biotechnology in their 12th class from a recognized school/board. SC/ST candidates need to secure at least 40% aggregate marks in the mentioned subjects.

• Admissions to engineering programs, totaling 10,173 seats available across 30 colleges in the state, are based on JEE Main ranks. Successful qualification in JEE Main with the required ranks is mandatory.

Reservation Policy for Weaker Sections in Uttarakhand B.Tech Admissions

Madhya Pradesh B.E. Admissions based on JEE Main 2024

 Eligibility Criteria: Indian nationals seeking admission to B.E. programs in Madhya Pradesh must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination from either the Madhya Pradesh Secondary Board or any other recognized board. 

They should have studied Mathematics, Physics, and Biology/Chemistry/Biotechnology/Computer Science in their 12th standard. A minimum of 45% aggregate marks (General Category) is required, whereas SC/ST category candidates need to secure at least 40% aggregate marks in their Class 12th exams. Additionally, candidates must be domicile/residents of Madhya Pradesh.

Admission Procedure

Admission to candidates is based on their performance in JEE Main and 12th standard marks/scores. Candidates applying through both channels must participate in the counseling process for seat allocation. The counseling for MP B.E. admissions is conducted separately for JEE Main candidates and those applying based on their qualifying exam scores. During this process, candidates need to register and upload scanned copies of the required documents for verification in the online off-campus counseling procedure.

• In the admission procedure, candidates with a positive score in JEE Main are given preference over other candidates.

• Candidates eligible for OJEE B.Tech admissions must have passed the 10+2 exam of CHSE, Odisha, or an equivalent examination with 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST category). Additionally, candidates should have Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in class 12th/equivalent exam, along with one of these subjects - Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Electronics/Technical Vocational Subject/Computer Science/Information Technology/Geology/Statistics. Punjab B.Tech Admission through JEE Main 2024

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates eligible for Punjab B.Tech admission must have passed the 10+2 exam from a board recognized or established by central/state government through legislation. Reservation Policy and Notable Details for Punjab B.Tech Admission:

• For undergraduate engineering programs at 7 constituent colleges and 62 affiliated colleges of I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar, 15% of the seats are reserved for outside state candidates based on JEE Main scores, while 85% are reserved for Punjab candidates.
• In GNDEC, Ludhiana (IKGPTU) and BBSBEC, Fatehgarh Sahib (MRSPTU), 70% of the total seats are reserved for rural candidates.
• Sikh candidates interested in claiming Sikh Minority Seats must take the Sikh Religious Examination (SRE). These minority seats are available only at GNDEC, Ludhiana (IKGPTU), and BBSBEC, Fatehgarh Sahib (MRSPTU). The SRE test is conducted both online and offline.

JAC Delhi B.Tech Admission through JEE Main

The eligibility criteria for admission through JEE Main in JAC Delhi are as follows:

Eligibility Criteria for B.E. / B. Tech. Course at DTU, IGDTUW, and NSIT: Candidates with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are eligible. They must have also passed English as a subject at the Senior School Certificate Examination Level (Core or Elective), with each subject passed separately.

Eligibility Criteria for B. Tech. Course at IIIT Delhi: Eligibility requires candidates to secure at least 80% aggregate marks in the best five subjects, including Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, with 80% or more specifically in Mathematics in the qualifying examination.

Admission Procedure

Admission to the participating Universities/Institutes is based on the All India Rank in Paper 1 of JEE Main 2024. Candidates must register and apply for JAC Delhi counselling to secure a seat.

Reservation Policy

For Delhi candidates, 85% of seats are reserved, while 15% are for outside Delhi candidates.

A one-year relaxation in the minimum age is granted with the approval of the Competent Authority. Candidates seeking this relaxation must apply for it only at the time of admission.

For NSIT and IGDTUW

There is no minimum age requirement for admission to NSIT and IGDTUW.

JAC Chandigarh B.Tech Admission through JEE Main

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must have successfully cleared their 12th-grade examination with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (55% for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Persons with Disability (PwD)/Backward Class candidates). The qualifying exam should comprise the following subjects:

Candidates from Chandigarh are eligible for the Chandigarh Quota, while applicants from other parts of India are considered for the All India Quota. Institute Level B.Tech Admissions through JEE Main are as follows:

JMI Admissions: Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) provides B.Tech admissions based on the scores or ranks obtained in JEE Main.

SASTRA University: Admission to B.Tech programs at Sastra University follows two streams:

• 70% of the total seats are allocated through Stream 1, which considers JEE Main scores and +2 marks.
• The remaining 30% of seats are offered through Stream 2, which assesses candidates based solely on their +2 marks.

Nirma University: Half of the total seats are reserved for candidates who completed their qualifying exam or class 12th from schools situated in Gujarat, Daman and Diu, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli.

35% of the total seats belong to the All India Quota. For these seats, candidates must have completed their qualifying exam/class 12th from schools within India (including Gujarat State) and have appeared in JEE Main. The remaining 15% of seats are allocated for NRI/NRI sponsored candidates.

Thapar University: B.E. admissions at Thapar University are granted considering both JEE Main scores and class 12th marks.
