As per the initial reaction of students, the overall difficulty level of JEE Main 2024 April 8 Shift 1 exam has been reported ‘easy to moderate’. Like all other shifts, Chemistry was easiest and Maths was reported to be tough and lengthy. In Physics and Chemistry, questions from NCERT were asked. - Physics was mainly formula-based with some direct questions from NCERT.
- In Chemistry, around 10-12 questions were asked from Inorganic Chemistry. Most of the questions were NCERT-based.
- Maths was as usual lengthy but around 6-8 questions were easy.

After the conclusion of JEE Main 2024 Session 2, NTA is going to release JEE Main 2024 answer key PDF on the official website jeemain.nta.ac.in. First provisional answer key will be released which will be open for challenges, if any. Once all the objections raised have been scrutinized, NTA is going to release the final JEE Main 2024 Answer Key.
These final answer key will be used to calculate JEE Main Result 2024. JEE Main result 2024 date is April 25, 2024. Candidates aiming for admission to NITs, must score 200+ marks. Candidates aiming for admission to IITs, must score 90%ile and above to be eligible to sit for JEE Advanced.
