JEE Main Eligibility | JEE Main 2019 Application Form | JEE Main Exam Pattern |
JEE Main is one of the most competitive and important examinations for the students who want to take admission into the engineering and architecture programs offered by various IIITs, NITs, GFTIs, and various top Institutes at the undergraduate level. JEE Main is also an Eligibility test for JEE Advanced, through which candidates can seek admission to the engineering programs offered by IITs/ISM.
NTA released a notice about changes in the eligibility criteria for admission to B.Arch courses through JEE Main 2019.
This change was made based on the recommendation of the Council of Architect. CoA is the regulating body for architecture admission in the country. CoA defines the guidelines for B.Arch admission which is to be followed by all the institutes and conducting bodies.
Therefore, all candidates need to have PCM as compulsory subjects in their 10+2 or equivalent exam, if they want to take admission in B.Arch courses. Candidates must also secure minimum 50% marks in each subject as well as aggregate.
As NTA, released this modification in the eligibility just 5 days before the last date of registration. Candidates who do not have Physics and/or Chemistry at 10+2 level and have applied for JEE Main for B.Arch programs are at loss. There is no information about the refund of such candidates so far. Candidates will have need to wait until the official notice regarding the same is released.
Candidates applying for JEE Main 2019 have to fulfill the complete eligibility criteria prescribed by the examination authority i.e. NTA. Applicants who satisfy the criteria are only eligible to fill JEE Main Application Form. The eligibility criteria are given below:
