NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE TEST
The NTA will start the registration process for JEE Main 2021 in the 1st week of September 2020. Over 11 lakh students are likely to take the JEE Main examination 2021. The registration portal is available for about 1 month. The candidates shall not wait for the last date as it will create difficulties in the application process. Also, the deadline for application is not supposed to be extended and the candidates are advised to complete the application as soon as possible. The exam is likely to be scheduled in the 2nd week of January 2021.
JEE Main is the exam that is an admittance for the elite engineering colleges in India i.e. IITs, NITs and other centrally funded technical institutes as well as private institutions. It is a preliminary for the JEE Advanced that is conducted for admission in IITs. About 1600 engineering colleges and technical institutes consider JEE Main score for admission. The top 250,000 students in the JEE Main get a chance to take the JEE Advanced examination. Over 11 lakh students are likely to take the JEE Main 2021.
The NTA(National testing Agency) conducts the JEE Main exam twice a year. The 1st phase of exam is conducted in January and the second phase is conducted in April.
For the January session of JEE Main exam the registration process starts around 1st week of september and for the latter session the registration begins around the 1st week of February. The exam will be conducted for the courses in B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch and B.Planning. The link is open for more than a month. Some important dates regarding the registration of JEE Main are as follows:

The registration process can only be made on this website as NTA is solely responsible for conducting this examination throughout the country.
The process of filling up the application form are as follows:
Candidate have to register themselves on the official website of NTA
Fill all the required information including identity card details
Upload scanned passport size photograph and signature in the required format
Pay the application fee required. Candidates should note that without payment the application form shall not be accepted.
After completing the application get a printed copy of the form and payment acknowledgement for future reference.
Below mentioned are some advisory for the entire registration process of JEE Main 2021:
The candidate must have a valid phone number and email id as all the details of the registration of the candidate will be sent on it.
The candidates are advised to submit only one application form as multiple application forms will be subjected to rejection of the candidature.
The final application form will be accepted only after successful payment of the fee and the form will be invalid if the fee has not been paid.
The candidates are advised to keep a print out of the application form and the fee acknowledgement receipt for future reference
The uploaded photograph must contain the name of the candidate and the date on which the photograph was taken.
The application fee for JEE Main 2021 is categorised at different levels. The amount of the application fee differs between the selection of courses and papers. Alos, the fee differs in the case of scheduled categories and general. Candidates can pay the fee by using various modes of online payment such as debit/credit cards, net banking, UPI, Online wallets(Paytm, lazypay, PhonePe, PayU money etc). However, the candidates can also pay the application fee by using offline mode i.e. e-challan. The candidates are required to print a copy of e-challan and deposit the challan with the required amount in any branch of State Bank of India.

The form correction window for the JEE Main Application 2021 will be opened soon after the last date of the form submission. The candidates who want to change their personal details, photo and signature etc can do it in the form correction window. The notification regarding the link will be available on the official website. The form correction portal will remain available from 3rd week of October for January session and 2nd week of March for April Session.
There are certain percentages of the total seats which are reserved on the basis of reasonable classification of the society. The newly included section is the EWS(Economically Weaker Section) that will enjoy 10% reservation in this examination. The bifurcation for the seats that are reserved are as follows:

The required eligibility criteria to appear for the JEE Main examination 2021 a candidate must have:
Passed/Appearing class 12 with science subjects with maths
There is no age limit for the candidates to appear in JEE Main 2021
Candidates must have obtained 75% marks in class 12th(65% for SC/ST) for admission in NITs, IITs and CFTIs(Centrally Funded Technical Institute) or their percentile must be under top 20
For admissions in B.Arch in NITs, IITs and CFTIs the aggregate marks in class 12 must be 50%
The candidates who have passed class 12 or equivalent examination in 2019,2020, and those who are appearing in 2021 are eligible irrespective of their age
The candidates must verify the age limits for the colleges for which they are aspiring as IITs do have restrictions for age limit

Ans. All the procedures will start from the first week of September
Question: Can I fill the application form in offline mode?
Ans. No. The form will be available online only.
Question: Can I apply for both sessions of the exam?
Ans. Yes. A candidate can appear for both phases.
Question: Are the appearing candidates of class 12 eligible?
Ans. Yes. Both the appearing and passed candidates can apply.
Question: Can I apply for a fresh application if I made mistakes in the 1st form?
Ans. No. Multiple applications of one candidate are subjected to the rejection of candidature. You can correct the form during the correction period.
