NATIONAL LEVEL ONLINE TEST
GATE Chemistry Paper 2018 was successfully conducted on February 4. The session was held from 02:00 am to 05:00 hrs. The official answer key for GATE Chemistry (CY) 2018 and questions papers has been released along with the notification of a time frame to raise objections with the proof.

GATE answer keys are released to make candidates aware of the correct answers and thus referred for evaluating GATE Scores. Based on official answer keys, GATE Result will be declared on March 17, 2018.
The final answer keys for GATE 2018 will be published after considering all the objections (if, raised by the candidates) at www.gate.iitg.ac.inin 1st week of March. However, the answer keys released by coaching centers may differ from official GATE answer keys.

The total marks equal the count of marks gained in the correct answers and deduct the marks lost in incorrect markings. The marking scheme of GATE CY Paper is provided below:
Apart from the compulsory section on General Aptitude testing language and analytical skills (10 questions totaling to 15 marks), the Chemistry (CY) Paper will have the rest of 55 questions (a mix of 1 and 2 mark questions) based on the subject, assessing candidates’ in-depth understanding of the domain-related concepts and their application. It is mandatory for candidates to attend all the questions in the paper.

GATE 2018 Cut-off score is the minimum score that candidates need to secure in order to qualify the entrance test. Please note that GATE Cut Offs will be separate for qualifying the exam and for admissions. The admissions cut-off will vary for each participating institute as it is dependent on the number of seats available at a particular institute as well as the number of applicants therein.
