IIT Bombay will release GATE Admit Card 2021 tentatively in the month of January 2021. Candidates will be able to download their admit cards by visiting the official website. Only successful registered candidates will be able to download their admit card.
Candidates will be required to enter the valid enrollment number and password to download the admit card. The details of GATE Exam Centers, exam date, timings, etc will be mentioned on your admit card. In case of any discrepancies in the admit card, candidates can contact their zonal IIT for rectification.
GATE 2021 Admit Card is a necessary document to carry along with valid ID proof on the exam day. GATE 2021 will be conducted across 195+ exam centers (expected) under 8 zonal IITs in India and 6 other international cities as well. The online examination is of 3-hour duration, having 2 types of Questions- MCQs & NAT. GATE 2021 Answer Keys will be released 10 days after the exam.

After registering successfully online, GATE 2021 Admit Card/Hall Ticket will be issued by IIT Delhi at GOAPS (GATE Online Application Processing System). All applicants can follow these steps to download their admit card:
Step 1: Visit the official website
Step 2: Enter your GATE Enrollment ID and Password and click Submit.
Step 3: Then you will be redirected to the new window. There you have to click on the link “download GATE 2021 Admit Card”

NOTE: In case of any discrepancies, you must report it to the authorities or to your GATE Zonal Office.

Before the start of exam, candidates have to go through the biometric identification process. Biometric Verification consists of part of the attendance process at GATE centers. If any candidate refuses to do biometric verification then he/she may not be allowed to take the exam.
Ques: What all to carry along with the Admit Cards?
Ans: Alone admit card is not sufficient to bring at the exam center. GATE aspirants must bring one original photo ID of which details have been filled during the application process. Xerox copies of the IDs are not acceptable. The following are the IDs that are acceptable- Driving License, PAN Card, Voter ID, College ID, Passport, Employee ID Card, Aadhaar UID, or a Notarized Affidavit with Photo, Signature, Date of Birth and Residential Address. Candidates who failed to bring the original required document will not be permitted to answer the exam.
Ques: How can I download the Admit Card if I have forgotten or lost my Enrollment ID or password?
Ans: You need not worry if you have forgotten the password or Enrollment ID. Just visit the official website, and click “Forgot Enrolment ID or Password” and follow the following steps-
Ques: What should I do if I have received my admit card with wrong personal details (Name, Address, Date of Birth etc.)?
Ans: If you download the admit card with wrong personal details you must not modify the details on the admit card. Changing details manually may lead to strict actions against the candidature and he will not be allowed to give the exam. You need to verify every detail before contacting the zonal GATE Authority. There are 99% chances that the details shown in the admit card will be correct and if in any case there are mistakes in the admit card then contact the authority. And still, the things don’t sort out then you may bring the admit card with wrong credentials in good condition at the exam center.
Ques: Will, I be provided with any plane sheet for rough work and calculations during the exam?
Ans: A scribble pad will be provided to the aspirants that can be used to do the calculation work. The GATEaspirant has to return the scribble pad after the exam.
Ques: Am I allowed leaving the examination hall during the test conduct?
Ans: NO. Students will NOT be permitted to leave the examination hall for any reason during the commencement of the test. Candidates are allowed to leave the computer lab where the exam will be conducted only after the end of the test at the scheduled end of examination in a session.
Ques: What items are not allowed to be brought in with me inside the examination center?
Ans: Electronic diary, mobile phones, and any such electronic gadgets, blank papers, clipboards, and log-tables will not be permitted in the examination venue.
Ques: Can I use a physical calculator during the examination?
Ans: NO. During the online GATE 2021 examination, all candidates will be provided with an online scientific calculator which has to be used to answer the questions. No physical calculator will be permitted inside the examination hall. GATE 2021 will not provide any storage box at the examination locations for any objects like electronic gadgets. If any candidate brings personal belongings including mobile phones, he will have to keep it outside the examination hall at the candidate’s risk.
Ques: Is GATE Admit Card alone sufficient to gain entry to the exam center?
Ans: No. It is obligatory to bring the original and valid photo ID (which was specified during GATE Registration) together with the admit card. The admit card is valid if the candidate’s photograph and signature images are clear and legible. For Indian candidates, only the following identification cards will be accepted: Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhaar UID, College ID, Employee ID, and Driving License.
For International candidates, only a valid Passport/Government issued ID/College ID/Employee ID will be accepted as the recognized identification.
Ques: Can I bring the soft copy of GATE Admit Card (in mobile phone/tablet/laptop) to gain entry to the exam hall?
Ans: No. only the hard copy of the admit card (printed in color) must be brought to the exam hall along with at least one original and valid (not expired) Identity Document (ID), which was specified during the filling up of the online application.

Ans: In case a candidate receive an admit card with not so clear photograph and signature then the chances are more that they won't be allowed to take the exam on the exam day. Therefore, in such a situation, candidates must contact the authority as soon as possible. Candidates are also suggested to download the admit card as soon as possible as these issues take time to resolve.
