GATE 2019 Civil Engineering (CE) Answer Key, Question Paper & Analysis

IIT Guwahati has released the official answer key and question paper of GATE 2018 CE at official website i.e. IIT Guwahati has successfully conducted GATE 2018 Civil Engineering (CE) on Feb 11. Last year, 1,18,147 students took GATE CE Paper out of which 18, 013 qualified the exam. GATE 2018 Result will be released on March 17, 2018.

  • Most of the questions were based on fundamental, concept based and thought-provoking. Check GATE Cut off

GATE 2019 CE Paper Analysis

  • The paper contained both numerical and multiple-choice questions. The difficulty level of the paper was moderate.
  • There were three sections in the paper - Technical Section, Engineering Mathematics and General Aptitude. It consisted of 65 questions carrying total 100 marks.
  • Candidates were given three hours or 180 minutes to solve the paper. One-mark questions were very easy to attempt but the questions with two marks were a little time-consuming.
  • There were more of conceptual questions than the calculation-based questions. So, qualifying the exam was easy, but scoring was tough as stated by the appearing students.
